Hi guys,

not sure if this is widely known but apparently Skyrim (at least LE) has some serious issues with high refresh rates.
I hadn't played for a while and started again with some updated mods and had all sorts of weird issues, animal animations stuttering and skipping, even when I tried without any mods and started a new game and somehow the horses died and then I fell through the wagon I knew something other than my mods was wrong^^.

Turns out it was my new monitor that ran at 144Hz refresh rate. Had to reset it to 60Hz and all went back to normal.
But yeah I spent/wasted another 3h troubleshooting Skyrim :D

There are plugins/fixes that allows you to run Skyrim at 144Hz, the one that I can think of right off the top of my head would be settingĀ

[HAVOK]
fMaxTime = 0.0069

Personally running at 144hz with no issues at all!
