AshKnight Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 Let me begin with I am kind of an amateur when it comes to this level of moding. I’ll try not to waste your time so I did some troubleshooting first. I’m having a big problem trying to get SexLab Framework to work with Skyrim SE (Anniversary Edition). I have successfully loaded SKSE 2.1.2, XP32 Maximum Skeleton, SkyUI, FNIS Idles, FNIS Creatures and FNIS Spells into my game using Mod Organizer 2.4.2. There are no errors or warnings when I run the GenerateFNISforUsers executable, so I think I’m good there. It looks like I meet all of the requirements. What I can’t seem to get to work is the new SexLabFrameworkSE 1.63. And I see an error that states “Outdated of missing “SexLabUtil” SKSE plugin detected”. I removed and reinstalled the mod from Mod Organizer several times but I receive the same results. According to Mod Organizer; the SexLabUtil.dll file is in the correct plugins folder. I made the change to the Skyrim.ini file to get the Papyrus log but no log file shows under the folder. I doubled checked to make sure I made the change and it did modified it correctly. A ran LOOT and cleaned up all of my dirty files. Its not showing any more errors so I’m at a loss there. The game runs fine but it refuses to accept SexLabFramework. I hope I covered enough for you guys to point me in the right direction. Thanks for your help with this.
Drianjul Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 I'm having this exact issue. I have tried fresh reinstalls of everything. I would sincerely like an answer to this too. Even using the 1.64 update i still get this message every time I load to try and install it and no one else anywhere has had the issue recently with the new problems arising with AE and SKSE. I'm using NMM and even when checking my data folders the file is exactly where it is supposed to be.
Casey96 Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 Yeah I'm having this issue too, I get the exact same message
AshKnight Posted November 22, 2021 Author Posted November 22, 2021 Hello, I looks like for me the solution was to use SexLab Framework 1.64. At the time I was troubleshooting the issue only 1.63 was available. I uninstalled 1.63 with Mod Organizer 2 and installed 1.64. I ran LOOT and the GenerateFNISforUsers afterwards. Now it SexLab Framework is functioning. I can share my load order if anyone needs additional help. Thanks.

I'm having the issue with 1.64, I'm using vortex though maybe that has something to do with it, or my load order or both? I'm still kinda new to this modded Skyrim thing.

AshKnight Posted November 22, 2021 Author Posted November 22, 2021 I'm new to this, just like you, so I'm not quite sure. But, you might be right since I am not using Vortex. Ha, Skyrim AE just updated in the background. Now the Skyrim script extender no longer works. Looks like I'm dead in the water until the script extender gets updated.

AshKnight Posted November 23, 2021 Author Posted November 23, 2021 I'm using Mod Organizer 2 that I got from the Nexus page: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6194 I like this mod manager because it has a tutorial that walks beginners (like me) through the installation and troubleshooting process. I was using the latest version of Skyrim Script Extender and it was working well until Steam updated my game earlier this afternoon. Now I'm stuck until a new version is created.

AshKnight Posted November 23, 2021 Author Posted November 23, 2021 Looks like the creators were quick with the fix for SKSE. 2.1.3 just released.

AshKnight Posted November 25, 2021 Author Posted November 25, 2021 Well, good news is that SexLab Framework 1.64b just released. Replace that and give it a shot.
ArchFinder Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Yes. I'm running Vortex with SexLabFramework164b, SKSE64 2,1,3, FNIS 7.6, and Skyui 5.2... so the game is running but I'm getting msgs from skyui as follows: Skyui Error Code 1 SKSE64 not running .... wait until SKSE64 is updated then install new version Then I get another popup from RaceMenu "You are running SKSE ver 0.0.0.0 expected 2.0.7.56 or greater....reinstall SKSE scripts NiOverride plugin not detected various features may be unavailable Error codes (0) (1) (2)" The last message sums it up. Amorous Adventures runs but the MCM menu is not there? So options appear to be all default? aka no action!! FNIS also is not seeing the animations, thus not doing its thing to get "actions" working. So looks like we are all in "hold mode" until Bethesda, SKSE, and SkyUI get in sync??

So I double checked FNIS, and it was not running from the correct folder....fixed that in Vortex so it will stay fixed Then I started the game using skse64_loader.exe rather than SkyrimSE.exe ... fixed that in Vortex as well. All good for now...just hoping Bethesda doesn't help us out with another update!
AshKnight Posted November 28, 2021 Author Posted November 28, 2021 I appreciate the update, ArchFinder. What worked for you may work for others. Now the community has another resource to check. Good show.

Lesoup Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 I'm getting the same error, ("Outdated or missing "SexLabUtil" SKSE Plugin detected") I'm also pretty new to modding and I have no idea why this isn't working. I'm using Vortex, I have all the required mods and I'm using SexLab Framework 1.64b with an updated version of Skyrim AE. I have no clue what more to do, I ran LOOT several times and everything seems to be in order. I'm out of ideas, would love some help. Thanks!
Clavicus_Smile Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 I'm getting this error as well. I'm using Nexus Mod Manager, and I'm running the 1.64b version of SL.
ArgonianBard117 Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 I'm having this issue with SexLab 1.64 and Vortex, and I'm not sure how to really do this kinda thing. I'm kinda new to lewd mods, so if anyone has a fix, I would greatly appreciate some help.

Damyn Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 Im not sure if it will work for you. I have the Latest SSE Build, Sexlab was giving me the same DLL error and i had no idea. I started playing around with The files and Decided to Try The Sexlab v1.64c (AE) Heck you would think that it would work because it is Anniversary Edition But turns out it works perfect with the latest SSE (Here is the link) Download v1.64c Delete v1.63 And Hopefully It will work. Let me know if it does!
Ashal Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 58 minutes ago, Damyn said: Heck you would think that it would work because it is Anniversary Edition But turns out it works perfect with the latest SSE Because the latest SE build IS the AE build. If you're Special Edition is updated, you ARE using Anniversary Edition. They are the same thing. Being on the AE version has nothing to do with buying the new DLC on steam. AE is any version of SE past runtime 1.6.
