Before connecting the mod, the consumption is 1.3 GB, after 18-19 GB. I put it on a couple of months ago and everything was fine. Strange.

Could not resolve cross-reference: No Verse.ThingDef named Hugesakanaaj1Sculp found to give to RimWorld.MeditationFocusOffsetPerBuilding RimWorld.MeditationFocusOffsetPerBuilding

 

As windslover stated it's mostly case issues, one SculpSculp instead of a Sculp and one superfluous entry.

I have attached the updated def file.

damn, this addon is still as heavy as i remembered, back in 1.3 it was due to my potato laptop now my computer is crying for moar ram to use it lmao (32gb and all of my spare 20gb was used sheeeeeesh)

This mod should work just fine in 1.5 (along with the original SCC Sculptures). Well, at least as fine as it did in the previous versions. Also yeah, if I eventually publish the newest version, it certainly won't get any lighter on anyone's PC. Y'all can follow the instructions I left in the first post if your RAM isn't tanking it, but since this is basically a personal project, it's meant to run on my PC, which has 64 GB RAM. Using Graphics Settings+ and using RimPy to optimize the textures helps A TON.

 

My mods are just as rusty as the meme my whole profile is based on, and my old bones can't handle a consistent schedule.

Not to knock on your work or anything, I  really like your mod in its entirety, but others could manually remove some of the statues from the file they may not prefer. That would cut down on RAM usage. I personally would appreciate a 1.5 update to get rid of some of those pesky errors. I would do it myself but I'm not that savvy in Rimworld modding.

You literally just said what I said in the comment above yours (read the description). Also, every pesky error that happens to you with this mod in 1.5 probably already happened in 1.4 as well. Every error I had on my end while playing on 1.5 was related to the ideoligion stuff, and I gave my try at fixing that already to no avail. I did fix the errors related to typos and missing characters in the version I currently use, but it'll be a long while until I update the public release. Try using the file HeathenSunrise published a few posts ago for the time being.

It's fine. Eventually I'll update it myself with more art, but until then it's alright. You should put a link to it here too, so people can reach it easier.

 This is my first ever experience with assembly files, and I'm very proud of it. You should report any bugs you find, but be gentle or I might cry.

Would you be against someone else maybe making smaller/modular versions of this mod? As you said, this thing is HUGE and using too much with it will just kill your ram and load time. I wouldn't ask you to make smaller versions, you do you mate, but going through this with all the art and getting error spam while it still takes a while can be a major pain. I'm asking as I personally can't do it, but I think I know a few people that might take a crack at it if you are okay with that.

I'm confused, and I'm not having an ADHD episode like before, as I have a better computer for setting up mods now. Anyways, what I'm confused about, is the fact this requires an outdated mod, the Sculpture mod that is out of date, why? Won't it not work in the current version of Rimworld? My impression of outdated mods on this website is that they're not viable at all for current versions of the game.

It varies by the mod.  The sculpture mod doesn't interact with the mechanics of RJW itself, so it's unaffected by updates to RJW.  I'm currently using this mod and it's parent mod with no problems.

The original SCC Lewd Sculptures mod still works just fine on 1.5. If you want to get rid of the version mismatch pop up, you can just download the patch provided in the files section and replace. But either way it works fine, with minimal errors.

My game REALLY doesn't like the electric table inside 'more-sculptures', I keep crashing to desktop.

 

Working with the full-build, I tried gutting statues + defs manually first since I initially thought my computer was puffin' the bad smoke, but it wasn't until I removed any instance of the table that it loaded... with a massive string of red errors of course.

 

I dug through the defs but I have very little idea what I'm doing. Any ideas? Did I do an oopsie somewhere?

When exactly does it crash? I haven't encountered any crashing whatsoever while using the mod, so I'd assume this might be related to some other mods. Could you try running with only the original mod, my add-on, and harmony enabled and see if it persists? Also, which expansions do you have?

I presume right before the mods finish loading and that sfx plays, but it never quite makes it...

So, removing all the mods worked (and of course restoring the relevant defs I gutted). I started testing from there and worked my way up, but... my mod list is fully restored now?? 🤔

 

I still feel insane about it so I reinstalled your mod fresh from the zip (Minus all the artists/defs I removed), but it's still working. It's working great, even! All the relevant red errors are gone and I see more statues on my tables than I did after the gutting attempt. The electronics table is there, too!

 

I don't have time to make a statue yet, but I presume everything is in order now. Even though it sort-of self resolved, thanks for helping :)

Glad to see it worked out in the end! What happened to you has also happened to me with other mods, so I guess it's more common than you think haha

Hiya thank for this mod and the like a couple of feature requests for it:

  1. any possibility to get Medium and Large sized versions of these added statues? Hell Small 1x1 ones would be great to. It's currently a pain in the ass to add some of these statues in bedrooms and the like especially in cramped spaces like those demanded in SOS2 spaceships.
    • If that would mean massive bloat because alternate versions of each graphic would have to be loaded then maybe modular versions labeled like "SCCA small 1x1", "SCCA medium 1x3", etc for whatever size they would be. That way players can choose which statues they want, etc.
  2. Add the "Random SCCA" sculptures to the art bench. I'd really like to not have to make 2 art benches and this mod doing so would be part of that.
  3. Compatibility with the continued version of Selectable Sculpture Graphics https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3239359525 if there is a mod that already does this functionality is compatible with SCC, that's cool just advise. Looks like it does this, my version of change sculpture graphics was being overwritten by being still subscribed to the original...
