darkkent27 Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 As the title says, Im having trouble opening skyrim. Everything was fine yesterday until today when I tried to launch the game from either SKSE or the steam executable and it took about 40 to 1 minute to open up skyrim compared to my normal opening of the games which is about 5 secs, i tried restarting my pc and it didnt solve the issue. 1 thing I notice tho is that when i turn of all my mods my launching speed of the game returns back to 5sec, any idea why this suddenly happend?
srayesmanll Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 First place to look is your game saves. Do the latest saves seem to have any bloating (like the last 5+ saves are suddenly 2X/3X/4X larger than the previous)? If so, try loading a save prior to that sudden jump in size and see if that save is a shorter load time. If so, then you may have corrupted saves - look here and on Nexus on possible ways to fix. Also, posting your load order (make sure to use spoiler tags - [ spoiler ] <load order here> [ /spoiler ] - without the spaces) may help give a clue to someone a bit more knowlegable.
Daguy Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Its the same for me. Its a fairly recent thing, and happens even with no saves. I know this because I cycle through characters/saves.
D_ManXX2 Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 Did you update to newer skse ?? if so how did you install it ?? did you remove all previous versions first like scripts etc. ??
