Mr Zombie Brain Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Hello LL community, hope yall doing well I wanted to ask what you guys think of windows 11? specially for Fallout 4 performance wise i been looking around and all i find is mixed answers some say good, some say good for low end PCs, some say no change, some say it ruined their performance. Some say have to disable something called Virtualization-based security in BIOS, So if you did upgrade what you noticed so far? do you advice to upgrade? Thank you, also i luv u here is a pic of a happy puppy to hopefully make ur day (its not mine is from google) ❤️
Picolino Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 I've been using windows 11 since august and honestly haven't noticed any difference in game performance, being fallout or any other game I played since.
Guest Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 DirectX swapchain is optimized and faster. But you can see a difference (from what I saw) marginal and only on games using DX12 FU6, that are none I have (I can check only with futuremarks 22 were I get a .5% increase) Old DX11 games? I think they will work 100% the same.
vaultbait Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 So just to confirm, people are successfully running (modded, with F4SE et cetera) Fallout 4 on Windows 11? I was just doing some cursory searches before deciding whether I trusted upgrading without (I assume) an easy rollback path other than restoring a full system backup. I've been consuming Windows Insider "preview releases" of Windows 10, so expect it to not be that different, but figure it helps to ask... ? Edit: Oh, also things like ENB and Buffout 4 worry me WRT Win11. Knowing if those are working fine for peeps would be awesome.
