inconsistent automatic undressing behavior

Wicked Whims version 166d
latest game version (whatever that is, the one from Nov 3rd)

First what never works, then what kinda works and then all the weird in between:

Never do my sims automatically undress completely when engaging in sex.
For the longest time (started with 166c) my sims would only ever automatically undress the lower body clothes (arguably the most important, but that's beside the point), they would keep their jackets, sweaters, etc. on.
it always worked to undress the sims via the menu-interaction for instant undress, except for second to last time last time though that didn't work and the sim was even fully dressed, what did still work was instant undress for upper part and then instant undress for lower part, the sim was naked then, but when using the instant completely undress the sim would get fully clothed again.

the weird also doesn't just stop with sex, undressing behavior while massaging is also highly inconsistent (in my game), sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't (massaged switches to towel outfit), sometimes it works for both, sometimes just for the one.
now just to make it even weirder, while massaging an NPC sim who wouldn't undress (not even switch to towel outfit) I opened them in CAS, of course the "bathing suit" isn't listed there, but whatever and yes I tried ww.fix_sim_nude_outfit.

In any case, I changed an unrelated(?) outfit category (everyday) and after saving the sim was suddenly completely undressed.
Tried the same with my sim who was giving the massage, but it did nothing.

I have honestly no idea what the problem might here. If it just never worked or at least always did the same thing...

oh, I checked the "All Sims Nudity Enthusiasts" option in the  WW settings, the sims involved were all young adult or adult, though teen switch is also checked.
I also tried the option where the sims ignore children, though as far as I know there were never children in the room .....okay that one time my newborn child in its crib, but whatever.

When installing new mods or updating old ones i delete the old files and also delete localthumbcache.package, though it could very well be that I messed up an install of one or the other mod from loverslab, since honestly many install instructions and mod descriptions here are ... let's say not really optimal to not shout forbidden words.

my Mods directory (Core and Extras & Overrides Folder are Sopor's Allure breast mesh, Skarrds folder are -I assume- parts from Skaard's panty/bra mod added by another mod, but i have honestly which one and Wicked Whims contains just the two WW files and CinErotiques Better Computer Porn extension framework)

I will have to sort out some mods anyways since it seems I'm missing assets (like one clothing mod is missing textures and stuff like that)

Wicked Settings > Sex Settings > Sex Interaction Settings > Outfit Settings: Auto Dress up after Sex (2 green bars enabled) 

Sims Undressing: Complete Undressing

NPC Undressing: Complete Undressing

 

Wicked Settings > Nudity Settings > Outfit Undressing Settings > Advanced Outfit Settings > Complete Outfit Undressing: Special

 

After you get your WW settings working the way you want save them so when you start a new game save or have problems just use the Import to load your saved settings.
