Guest Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Hello. Sims 4 does not require a huge power. Any decent CPU (an i5 for example) is more than enough. I recommend at least 8 Gb of memory. Also if the game wants just 4, with 4 Gb Windows is not very good. For graphic card any basic one is good. If the CPU is recent (less than 4 or 5 years) also the integrated GPU will be enough.

Depending on the age most laptops get dirty over time and overheat and shut down when stressed with any game. Unless it's something else failing or too just too old. Most everything you can buy new today should run Sims 4 but ask when buying one at the store. You don't need a $2000.00 + Gaming Laptop for Sims 4 BTW. Something in the $1000.00 price range should be good. I'd stick with Intel CPU's and avoid the cheaper AMD's. Find a Computer Store that has good staff and avoid buying from stores like Walmart, etc. A decent desktop might be less and should last longer unless you must have a laptop for other reasons.
