It worked for Alexander to Alexia tho. I figure Alexander isn't the first sim in the household.

I am working on some improvements, first if the household only has one member then there is no need to match Sims, second I will add an option to completely override the EA template essentially turning the EA household into a custom household, this will also allow you to add/remove household members.

 

At the moment the only way to change Sim names is to edit the string tables (STBL).

You can now add, remove and rename Sims in EA households by checking the Override EA template option, it must be selected before you load the save file, please download new version 1.0.11.

This looks like a resource version issue, what game version do you have installed ?, I am not able to reproduce this error when I start the tool.

The latest game version is 1.93.146.1020, the world resources was changed when Sims 4 went free-to-play, I will add version checking and revert, maybe this will help.

Is it possible to preserve relationships between sims in different households? Like Sim Albert and Sims Bob are brothers, but Sim Albert lives in one household and Sim Bob lives in another household. Using MCCC to add them back in for every new game is tedious.

Figuring out how relationship works is still on my To-Do list, I know it is possible, for example if you start a new game the two teens from the Ito and Nishidake households have a relationship, however the PersistableRelationship data structure is completely empty and there is nothing in the tuning files either.

My household override package file is not overriding. What gives, and how do I fix this issue?

 

When I made the file originally, I also noticed "Override EA Template" was unselected and could not be selected. I'm not sure if that matters or not.

You need to check the Override EA template option before you load the save.

 

For this to work properly you should start a new game and do the edits manually, do not replace the EA households with tray copies as this will create a new household occupying the same lot and this doesn't work, when you start a new game the EA household will show up instead, there are some discussion about this on MTS.

I will keep this in mind for the future, thanks for the reply.

 

I ended up remaking the sims as I had them before, to the best of my memory, and then resaving them as you described here. I was able to determine that the new files I saved should work as intended by comparing the data in those files to one that I had created before that does work as intended.

Clubs and relations to Sims outside the household only work for the EA household, I haven't gotten it to work for custom households.
