Monsto Brukes Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Yes.  The fact that you have so many mods is why it's getting huge. As you play, there's a ton of unknown variables that affect places you haven't been. The game is dynamic enough that it has to keep track of a lot of shit.  2nd thing... But you know what? who cares about file size? If you look around, you can see all manner of people whinging about firefox taking up however hundreds of megs of ram... When you have  8gb or more of ram and 2tb hd's, why does it matter if 500 skyrim savegames average 5mb?  Bottom line: Unless you believe the savegame size is contributing to game slowdown (extremely unlikely) I wouldn't worry about it.
Rayblue Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 It's typical for a gamesave to reach up to 20mb in size while using mods and I have 150 mods loaded.  A vanilla gamesave that includes the DLCs completed is 16mb.
jimdandy28 Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Depending on which version of Sounds of Skyrim you have its been reported to cause savegame bloat.
GrimReaperCalls Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 You shouldn't worry about save size until it starts to rapidly climb over 50Mb. When I ran the old Sounds of Skyrim mod my saves went from 13 to 78Mb in 4 saves. THAT'S bloating . On my latest character I have 7 hours played and the saves are around 7Mb in size, I'm running 140-ish mods resulting in 144 plugins, none of which are very heavy,
gsguns Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 The bloats from Sounds of Skyrim have been fixed and besides it bloats if you remove it.i need to remove some mods but the problem here that this is my simplified list of mods basically must have mods(some not)
