gray2p Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I know this is likely going to be a lot to ask but I going to ask it any. Can someone please post a list of like 3 or mods that are sex and adult that don't use FNIS? And can you give me the links too? The reason I ask is because I couldn't get the FNIS to work and I don't want to try again. I already have AP so please don't list that one.
Setekh Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Besides AP I don't think there are any. All of the mods hosted here as well as ASX and Niruins all depend on FNIS in some capacity. Why don't you want to use FNIS? It's perfectly stable and does exactly what it says on the tin. If you're having difficulty with the program post here and we can help you.

The new engine Bethesda used for Skyrim makes it close to impossible to simply add new animations like in Oblivion and the only workaround is FNIS. There are only two reasons why FNIS wouldn't work and that is 1. You installed it incorrectly. If that's the case read the description page http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11811/? cause it's really not hard. or 2. You don't have a legal version of Skyrim.
gray2p Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 Setekh- I'd use FNIS If it worked I got the non-motion T-animation thing. Absurdity- My skyrim is from Steam and I did everything that was in the installation. I asked for help I read what was in the read in file I did everything.

Clearly you didn't read everything as your suppose to run GenerateFNISforUsers.exe. Its in Data/Tools/GenerateFNIS_for_Users

Frankly it's all of the other bits around FNIS that cause issues. 1) ONLY install FNIS base and spells - do not install ANY FNIS-related mods. If you have any fnis related mods installed (whether from LL or Nexus, or hell anywhere else), uninstall them (do not just "untick" them, uninstall them completely). 2) Run the generator (the only "patch" you might have to select is the skeleton fix if you are using any non-vanilla skeletons, leave all other patches unchecked). Make sure you are running the generator in admin mode (right click on the generator exe, select "run as administrator" - funny how a lot of people miss that one). 3) If you get errors (make sure you scroll to the top, the errors appear at the top of the page, not at the bottom), then you have something installed wrong, or you need to check (or uncheck) the skeleton patch. Check the FNIS FAQs for the errors displayed and resolutions. Then try again. 4) If you get no errors, lauch your game. 5) If you have the "T" pose, then you have a mismatch of FNIS/Skyrim versions (latest 3.5 FNIS works with Skyrim 1.9.32) or you have something FNIS related still installed causing issues. Exit the game and uninstall all FNIS related mods except FNIS (Base/Spells) and run the Generator again. 6) If you do not have the "T"-pose, cast one of the FNIS dance spells on someone. If it works, congratulations, you have FNIS installed correctly. From here on any other problems you run into are strictly due to the FNIS-related mod, NOT FNIS. Make sure you read all of the instructions for the other mods as they may have their own rules. For example, Animated Prostitution has a behavior file included that needs to be deleted BEFORE running the Generator. It's in the middle of that mess that Josh calls a "Description", but it's still fairly easy to find (especially since it's in a section about making AP work with FNIS...) If you are trying to use PCEA, make sure you follow all of the instructions for that (that mod is a bit twitchy if you do not set it up correctly, especially following the "this mod is for non-vanilla mod races" rule of PCEA - that may have changed but always verify).
gray2p Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 Srayesmanll- What do you mean by related mods? All I have is AP, armor, extra home and a few extra followers.
srayesmanll Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 AP is an example of a FNIS related mod. Basically, go to the FNIS page on Nexus and look in the description. There is a list of mods that are "FNIS-related". Mods that either require FNIS or FNIS has patches for are what I call "FNIS-related". Your note however leads me to a specific issue that I touched on in my previous post. AP (I assume you mean Animated Prostitution) installs a behavior file (mt_behavior) the will royally fuck up any FNIS install. That file MUST be deleted prior to running the FNIS Generator. Don't know if it causes the "T"-pose, but it will mess up other animations mods if it is not deleted. And Josh has specific instructions on his AP description stating that to make AP work with FNIS, you MUST delete that particular file. There are 2 other files that AP adds (defaultmale and defaultfemale), but FNIS will overwrite those files when running the Generator. Doesn't hurt to leave them, or delete them when deleting mt_behavior, but mt_behavior MUST be deleted. In case I didn't make it clear, that file must go... THEN run the FNIS generator.
gray2p Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Srayesmanll- Will I deleted of AP and Beefcakes Luxury Suite thses are the only mods that are related to FNIS. I only installed FNIS and I got the T-pose. I ran it through the Generator but there isn't an update button on it. I just get the Bowser and exit when it say in the instructions that "Click Update FNIS Behavior."
chukkyjr Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 the fastest way maybe show him a video tutorial, i can't do it though doesn't have any screen recorder atm, besides it might help future users who encounter these problems btw are there any videos tutorial of FNIS out there?
Iastwolf Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 actually, using FNIS isn't so hard, you just put your animation, then run generate FNIS for user, dont tick anything at the FNIS, then generate FNIS, done.should be simple as cake, but there's still few animation that makes you cant switch from 1st person to 3rd person, and like I said, few, not much.

Looks around non nonchalantly, Oh i knew that. Probably why the patcher was not running when I would click on it to run in the first place. There is always something over looked. : /
