A Few Noob Questions - HELP Please

Hi.  I've only just got Sims 4 and modded it (with Wicked Whims and a load of others - but I have a few questions that someone might be able to help me with:

 

1.  How do I treat Crabs??  I tried going to hospital but that didn't work.

2.  I have downloaded and added various 'extra' career options (Naked Yoga Instructor / Adult Movie star etc).  I dropped mod into EA / Sims folder but how do I activate them? 

3.  I have added Strip Club mod but I'm not sure how that is activated.

 

Basically - Wicked Whims and other animations seems to be working fine.  Extra clothing is there.  Basemental (drugs) seems to be working.  However, all the other game change type mods do not seem to be working.  Is there something else I have to do?

1. Buy medicine from the Wicked store. Make sure that it's in Sim inventory. Get in the shower and click on the medicine and it will give you the option to use.

2. I hope you mean that you put it in the Mods folder. If you just put it in the Sims folder, there's your problem, move it into the Mods folder. If you put it in the Mods folder already, make sure that they are only one folder deep within the Mods folder. Any time that you make a change to your Mods folder, make sure that you delete the localthumbcache.package file from the Sims 4 folder. 

3. I can't help you with the strip club since I don't use it. Make sure that you organize all of the stuff you are adding to your Mods folder. Look around a bit and you'll see what I mean. It will safe you some frustration in the long run.

BIG thanks - I was being dumb - have now treated crabs - lol

 

Yes - all mods are in the Mods folder ... but I'll go through and make sure it is organised and one folder deep - that might be the issue, but I'm normally ok with these things.  I have modded other games like Skyrim and World of Tanks without any major issues!

You also need the Get to Work DLC for Strip Clubs to work.

 

You will have to download a Strip Club from the Gallery or build one yourself.

The Lot type must be set to Generic

Then use your phone to Buy Strip Club.

So you will need some money of course.

 

That's about all I know as I don't use them either.

Glad you got over your crabs. And I was just making sure with your mods so don't take it as I was trying to insult your intelligence/abilities. I'm just going by what you typed. Are these "careers" old mods maybe or dependent on DLC maybe? That could make it where they are not working possibly in that you don't have some requirement like "Get to Work". I stay away from extra careers and have a pretty light CC game so I can't be much help, but I will try.
