Hello dear sims 4 enthusiasts,
I've some sort of a strange problem. My in game visuals like buttons, fill bars and some in-game windows are fkd up after installing some mods (I don't really know what cuz i've over 4gb mods in my Mods folder). May be someone know what mod can cause something like this to happen? May be there is a way to fix it without deleting all mods or reinstalling a game?! If anyone knows please help!
Here are some examples of problem that I've:

P.S: Yeah my game is in russian but it has nothing to do with this problem... It appear after I've added some mod and i don't really know which one it was. :(

You don't need to delete or reinstall anything, just cut and paste files somewhere else.

Try to empty the mod folder first by cut/paste your files somewhere else and then little by little putting the files back (like 5 folders, then another batch of 5 folders) and then you'll find the file that cause the problem.

Usually caused by T_Mex mods like TOOL or UICheats Extension being outdated.

But it's not hard to find if you move some of your most recent mods you downloaded to your desktop in a Temp Folder.

Once you move the right mod out of game the problem will stop.

Sometimes looking at the file dates helps and the older files tend to be more likely to be broken.

But there are exceptions like some CC that might be years old but still work fine.

What your doing is fishing for the bad mod by elimination.

Well to not waste any time I've started troubleshooting myself by placing all my mods in folders A-Z by name like this
image.png.94a24e05152413fcce6b14b4a944bb17.png
and relaunch game after adding each latter  folder back to Mods folder. I've found the criminal. It's this script right here:

I hope this information helps someone. Of if you think its useless then feel free to delete this post all together but I feel like I've done something good tonight :D

I've put the files in alphabetical numbers not by hand obviously. I'm not a maniac but never the less I sadly had to create a 26 folders and 27 associations to be able to order all the mods in those folders :D so I guess I'm a little crazy anyway.
Newer version of this Mod works just fine without having this visual bug.
Thanks for the quick response fellow mod users :)

Just a suggestion as the more logical way to name your folders as many of us do around here.

Example:

Mods/Clothing

Mods/Hair

Mods/Makeup

Mods/UICheats

Mods/WickedWhimsMod

Mods/Wicked Animations

etc.

The reasoning is now you can see what mods you have installed and where they are installed.

When you want to add more later or you need to update them after game updates you know where to look.

Same thing applies to finding broken Mods and Custom Content as you can just remove folders to find them the same way.

This is great idea but the thing is most of mods that i've ~70% of it. I don't even know what they are... Sometimes it's also very hard to figure out what mod is doing only from the name... this ~70% of mods came along with custom sims that i've downloaded from various sites including loverslab :D
So yeah. Good advice but in order to make it like you suggest I've to put over 1100 *.pakage files in order by hand... Like I said before im a little crazy but im not a maniac :DDD

This is what happens when new users just download everything and dump them all into Mods without any organization.

You don't have to do them all in one go and if you can't tell what something is for just leave it till later but some are quite obvious by their file names.

The idea is to just get started and get into the habit when you download more items later.

Yes it's a pain the first time but then it's done forever.

What happens when you update your game and you don't even know what mods you have installed or if they might need updating.

So you need to update MCCC for instance.

How do you find it to replace it?

So you've downloaded several Custom Sims that include things like Makeup, Hair, Jewelry, Skins, etc.

Now they're all mixed in together and you might have duplicates of the same thing or more than one version of the same Mod/CC.

Look for your WickedWhimsInfoLog.log file and open it.

Scroll down past all your Mods/CC to find the entry: Possible Duplicates

It should be zero but if not then you have to find the duplicates and delete them.

Up to you tho so I'll stop preaching now, lol.

Just a little something that I do with new CC (once you have it organized) is to put new stuff outside of folders until I test it in game. That way I can decide if I want to keep it or not. Like a new fingernail CC. I have a nail folder but when I get a new file, I put it loose in my Mod folder until I check it in game to see if it conflicts with others or whether I like how it looks. If there are conflicts or I don't like it, I just have to go into Mods and delete it, but if I like it, I can move it to my nails folder. Of course, you could just make a quarantine folder or testing or whatever you want to call it, test your CC and then move it where it needs to go. And if you can't identify your CC, it may just be time to do a good cleanup so that you can identify what you have. But, hey, thats just my suggestion.

I usually have, or make, a folder named NEW Clothing or whatever, or named Probation to install new things for testing.

This is just for CC tho.

Script Mods always have the Name of the Mod itself for the folder name.

Now you can look at the folder creation date to see when it was added when compared to the rest of your folders.

But any sort of idea to distinguish newly added Mods/CC is better than not doing anything.

Yeah, absolutely. The only scripts that I have are WW and AEP, so it's easy since they have their own folders. My Mods folder is pretty small in comparison to most peoples, I think. After a point, I just clean mine out and get rid of stuff if I'm not using it. I play a fairly MM game, so I guess I don't have a need for shit tons of CC. It makes it pretty easy for me to find when I have something not working right. And I like to test CC to see whether it looks good or conflicts with other stuff, like I've had bracelets that stretch out hands or will have attachment points that look horrible when the sim moves and I don't want that. I recently found that I had ankle bracelets that conflicted texture wise with some outfits that I like way better, so I dumped the bracelets, but an organized and manageable amount of CC made it easy to figure out what was causing it.

I don't have file with that name. But I wanted to organize a little bit a while ago... I wonder if that alphabetical organize is worth keeping... But btw if I've same CC/Mod in any of the Sims i download or folders etc. I just see date and time the file was changed if it's older then what I've then I skip if it's more fresh then I replace so I don't think I've any dupes at least while I was looking for faulty Mod I did not see any dupe files.

But well you're right I might just start sorting it latter by latter, part by part and may be after few days I'll be able to sort them all :D
Thank you for you suggestion!
