Fruit Trees and Vegetables just die.

Hi Fellow Simmers. I have a problem that when I plant fruit trees or vegetables they die and I get the command dispose of dead plants. The only tree that actually grows and has fruit is the Apple tree. What could be the issue here? Help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had the same issues as well as a few others here and my gardens would also reset to dirt mounds every morning between 5-6 AM.

Part of the problem is actually a game bug but might be pushed by using gardening mods or other 'conditions'.

I'd remove any gardening mods you have first, if any.

 

1. Garden planted on a Tier 1 Micro Home Lot type (32 tiles), change to (64 tiles Tier 2 Lot)

2. Great Soil Lot trait.

3. Level 9-10 Gardening skill

4. Grafted Plants

5. Certain locations (lots and/or towns)

6. Need to try doing a game repair.

 

I added LittleMsSams Plant Lover trait with the optional file to reduce weed/bug infestations and it seemed to help.

Give your sim the Plant Lover trait when you click on a plant to see the menu for it.

It will make your sim check your garden more often automatically.

The game is trying to start generating produce at 5 AM but this is usually when they also push for weed growth, bugs, water, etc., all at the same time.

Hiring a Gardener might help but it's not always 100%.
