Rechargeable weapons completely broken for me

Only started having this issue from the time I started playing again with a new game (this month) 

 

I normally have no problem with enchanting any weapon with custom or vanilla enchantments but now its always becoming broken whenever I load my last save after quitting the game.

 

I've tried:

Unlimited Charges (requires SKSE)

Unlimited Weapon Enchantment Charges

Infinite Weapon Charges

 

all which break after the next time I go onto skyrim when I start up my pc, I also went through a guide on changing the enchantment costs in TES5Edit on the mods i've got installed which I did all the enchantments I could find in my mods that you can place on weapons but that got the same result as the ones above.

 

The last thing i've done is that one of the enchantments from Summermyst - Enchantments of Skyrim is "recharge weapons" which the description is "recharges weapon <number> per second, up to the charge weapon it had when it was equipped" I set my enchanting level to 150000 so its extremely high number without the game crashing and put it on a ring. So after I did that I thought I fixed the problem with my weapons keep losing their power. But nope still having the same problem after I load a save with it saying "you have insufficient charge" even though i've done everything I can think of.

 

I've just now looked up a console command for recharging weapons and thankfully there is one but I don't want to have to keep doing that everytime this problem arises 

 

Edit: didn't even know that if u unequip a weapon u have to put the console command for recharging weapons in again wow

That's what I use and it works for keeping weapon charges max filled, even for followers.

Drawback: I get CTD if a weapon has the soul drain ability in combination with Infinite weapon charges. Means everything that drains souls to fill charges has the potential to crash my game.

That is what I thought as not only did I get the script for the infinite charges but also got one to remove lockpicking as when you've done 20 or more times playthroughs they get tiring and it worked with removing the lockpicking which must mean that the other one for infinite recharges must also be working but it stopped again when I started up the game.

Seemed to have got even worse now, I enchanted a sword to have a force push and skyhook which are enchantments to knockback and stun enemies and now the weapon has ran out of power before i even equip it. This is the most broken bug i've had since every possible mod/script i've downloaded haven't fixed the issue

My suggestion would be to disable all mods that change enchanting, make a new character, and test.  If enchanting works, enable 1 or 2 of the enchanting mods at a time.

 

You could also just make a new character with all the current mods first just to see if there's just something wonky in the current save file/character, maybe a perk not being applied, something like that.

I'll do the first one with disabling the enchantment mods, I see 3 of them in the load order and i'll try disabling them and see if the power reduces

 

edit 1: so I disabled the first enchantment mod which was summermyst - enchantments of skyrim and as expected it got rid of the enchantments from the mod and it seems it made a few of my followers go back to their default outfit before I recruited them so i'm guessing they had enchantments from that mod and due to me disabling it, the game just made them wear their original clothing despite when i open their equipment their stuff is still there.

 

Do u think the perks from the enchanting skill tree be messing them up, the soul squeezer and soul siphon?

Stuff has got a lot more strange now, I loaded back the previous playthrough I did a few months ago and the weapons I already had in my inventory do not lose any enchanting power. But when I make a weapon in the playthrough, I get the same result as i'm getting now with it instantly becoming empty. I haven't had any new mod with enchantments so idk what the hell is going on, skyrim is a complete mess.

 

edit 1: So I reset my enchanting skill from 1500 to 10 again and levelled it back to 100 so that the soul perks are not included and once I reached 100, I used two enchantments which were the ones I stated above again and when it gives the bar on how much charge it will use, for me its default saying 000 which means it should use no charges at all, but since the ring i got is meant to recharge an exceptionally large amount per second, I thought that maybe this will fix the problem and I put it to the highest charge.

 

After I did that I went to a place that I haven't cleaned out and tested it out, it was working fine, the enemies were spazzing out flying and getting no "you have insufficient charge" and I checked in my inventory to see if it is going down but it wasn't. I finally thought I found a fix to this bug so I went back to whiterun, set my enchanting level to 1000 and added a bunch of enchantments to a sword and did the same as I just did to the dagger I used by not doing the default 000 option but the amount of charge it will use, so I did that and BAM "you have insufficient charge" with no charge whatsoever so idk if the enchanting level is causing it as my older playthrough I have it at 1000 as well including all the enchanting perks unlocked. so something is happening, the two things I can think of is either the mod "10 extra enchantments" is messing up or adding lots of enchantments at a high enchantment level is breaking it though this is the first i've had this bug. 

 

edit 2: it seems that if i add too many enchantments with max stats, it instantly drains the enchanted weapon, I did tests with "force push" and "absorb health" it seems "force push" works even at 0 so from that I can use the maximum amount of damage from the absorb health enchantment, but if I add an element such as frost, that absorb health decreases by as much as 95%  though at times it doesn't decrease at all when I place it on a weapon. When I place the absorb health enchantment by itself, the max damage it will do is 6170, but if I add force push it decreases to 127 max damage, though I put it down to 0 on the force push charge, the absorb damage goes right back up to 6170. I did another test adding all the element enchantments I have which is frost, fire and shock. I added each of them on but when I did that it went from the high number they were before I added more elements to only a measly 80 points of damage with frost, fire and shock. This is becoming like I'm doing some hard mathematical problems over 1 single thing.

Hypothesis:  Your weapons are too powerful for your current destruction skill level

 

I have read in a few places that destruction skill is tied into how quickly your weapon charge depletes, so if that's the case, it stands to reason that you are creating a weapon too powerful for your current destruction skill.  Try creating a simple 1 enchant weapon with your enchanting set to like 50 or 100 and test that.

An non edited weapon with auto calc can hold only a defined amount of enchantments.

With 10 enchantments at this high power, it would be the equivalent of 20.000 mana plus.

Either edit weapons or omit auto calc or use a reasonable amount.
