Download speed curiosity...

I've been downloading the Sexout mods from this site, and I've been noticing that the files larger than one MB are done in matter of a few seconds.  Great!

 

What's got me curious though is why files that are so small they are measured in KB can take several minutes.

it's not always this way.
But with LL becoming more and more well known and offering more and more downloads, the slow dl speed is the result of sever bandwidth management/balancing or whats-o-ever.

Ah.  Well,  I don't mind slower dl speeds, it just struck me odd that little files take several minutes compared to the few seconds of a larger file.  I'm glad this site is getting better known.  These are great mods and the modders deserve to be recognized for it.
