"Cannot equip this item over your hobble"

I'm not sure what mod this is from, I'm assuming either devious devices or Zaz but does anyone know if theres a way to turn this off in the mod manager? I've had a look and I can't find it but I'm hoping someone might know off the top of their head if its possible to do.

Yes, hobble dress is from Devious Devices mod. While wearing the dress you can't put any items on body. But DD is a framework mod that does nothing on its own. Other mods are using DD framework to put DD items on your character.

 

So some other mod is putting the dress on your character. Could be Cursed Loot mod or a number of other mods. Check your mod list for LoversLab mods and verify which ones are using DD framework. You can see it in mod description under required mods.

 

When you locate the mod(s), then check if there is an MCM menu. Some mods has the option to remove DD items.

 

If you have AdditemMenu mod, you can cheat and give yourself a chastity key or restraints key and try to unlock the dress. May require multiple attempts.

 

If you don't want DD items at all, then uninstall DD framework mod (and related mods depending on DD framework mod) and start a new game.

Sorry maybe I didn't explain well. I want to have a top on when wearing the Pony boots from DD but when I put them on it unequips the top and if I try to put it back on it says the message in topic. I've checked and they're not the same slot. Was wondering if there was a way to turn the equip off

Weird problem. Pony boots should not use body slot (32). Hobble dress is a torso+arms+legs DD item. Maybe pony boots are custom DD item from another mod, i.e. not from DD framework mod.

 

Is the top a DD item or just clothing? (just to understand why a body item is being replaced by equipping a pair of boots)

 

Are other DD items working as expected? (to verify that there are no mod conflicts)

 

Did you build DD items in BodySlide? (just to verify that you don't have invisible DD items)

 

When you equip pony boots, can you see any equipped body items in armor inventory list? (again to verify that there are no invisible items)

 

In DD MCM menu you can change setiings for slot 32. You can try to disable one or more of the 4 settings for slot 32, but it usually only solves conflicts with top and bottom of torso.
