Editing player character texture and ONLY player character's texture

Hello. Is there a way to change the player character's texture so that only the player character has a different texture, without affecting the textures used for NPCs and such? I'm using CBBE if that helps.

 

EDIT: I'm also using https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/40118?tab=description PokeRace as my player character's race.

you can use one of the "player only" mods or mods that provide that capability to isolate the player body .

Yeah! That's exactly what I was looking for only... I have no idea how to get it working with both CBBE and PokeRace. Do you think you could help me out with that?

No, sorry I can't. At least no in the way I think you're requesting.

 

I never tried it myself, so I'd be as inexperienced a you, and I have no desire to convert to unique character right now (no offense).

 

General help: Follow the directions. Read any ancillary info the author provides. read the posts section. That should do just fine 9 times out of 10. Don't forget to meet any dependency requirements.  - caught myself the other day on that one when I installed a Bodyslide preset for an armor... without noting I needed the armor first... just a nuisance in that case, but still.  Don't skimp. don't casually skip steps,  do what they tell you to do, (verbatim) and if you aren't willing to do what they say, don't use it. There are rarely shortcuts and workarounds that don't lead to more time spent to pissing around with broken things than playing.
