Hello, first of sorry if this issue has been adressed before but i'm new to the skyrim part of the forum and a bit confused about all the jargon and acronyms.

I wanted to install the framework with Mod Organizer, and no issues exept when installing SKSE: when trying to install it, Mod Manager told be that " the content of <data> doesn't seem to be valid "

I tried installing different versions (the newest one for oldrim, older ones, the current one for skyrim SE etc) but I allways got the same message. When launching the game SKSE is simply not recognised at all :

Installing it via steam or the .exe doesn't seem to be doing anything for Mod Organiser. Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance.

you don't have to install SKSE via MoadManager. just copy the files in your skyrim folder and you are good. then restart MO2 for the SKSE shortcut. otherwise if you see this valid text in MO2 click on the arrow and expand the folder. it should show you more files. then right click on the other file and set as data. but the easy way is to just copy and past the SKSE files to your skyrim folder. PS. there is also just a installer exe for SKSE. just install it like a normal program

I tried unziping it in the main Skyrim folder and using the .exe again but still she same message showing up.

I started the game via the SKSE shortcut on my desktop directly and this time he seemed to pick up Sexlab and Skyui but I think not the other mods ? SOS for exemple : I wasn't able to find anything about it in the Sexlab or Skyui menu, and no SOS options were avaliable on character creation.

In your MCM menu I don't see SOS (Schlongs of Skyrim), it's a mod that must be installed according to your version of Skyrim.

Yes I installed it via Mod Organiser, along with a few others from this forum, but none of them are showing up, hence my confusion.

That message appears when the folder structure isn't the one MO expects. You can solve it in the same window you see that red message, to do this simply expand the "skse_1_07_03" folder and find the one called Data inside, then right click over it and select "Set as <data> directory". (On your screenshot trying to do this you do it using the src folder, not the "Data" one).

But in the particular case of SKSE you can only install its scripts through MO, as the dll and exe files needs to be placed in the root folder of the game install (\Skyrim, not \Skyrim\Data). So you can save a lot of time by doing a manual install of SKSE (which means moving the dll, exe and \data folder in the zipped file to your \Skyrim folder). Note that after properly installing SKSE you'll see a new executable in MO called "SKSE", you need to select and use that exe to launch the game through MO, not the default "Skyrim" one (don't use external shortcuts to SKSE or Skyrim, you need to start the game through MO using that SKSE exe, if you don't see it close MO and open it again so it detects the new SKSE exe).

Learning to do the above fix is useful for other mods, as in some cases authors packs their mods with additional folders in the way and you'll get a similar result (incorrect install, pain) and a manual install is not the way you want to go. I'd recommend you looking videos about how to use the most known mods and tools with MO (ex. Bodyslide, FNIS, xEdit, etc.) so you can learn the basics.

SKSE is dated, the screen says you need to update it to version 1.7.2 or higher
