Seijin8 Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Using UNPB-BBP, fitness body and SG Renewal textures, getting a visible neck seam. Tried a few different approaches and it seems to be the SG textures with the Lady Head mesh causing the issue. I tried it with Mature skin and the neck seam *nearly* disappeared. Tried it with SG textures and RAN's head mesh and there was no seam. I can find a few mentions of the seam issue and people attempting to fix it, but nothing about how/what to fix. Seems that most of them just switched over to Lady Body for their screenshots, which I don't want to do. Attempted Texture Blender (UNP/SG Renewal settings) and it had no noticeable effect, so I am thinking it is a property of the mesh itself? Is it a specularity/shader issue with the mesh? If so, could changing the BSLIghtingShaderProperty settings in NIFSkope fix it? Issue persists with/without ENB active. I really don't want the lower poly head meshes anymore, and I like the SG textures. Thanks for any assistance!
Rayblue Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 I don't know if it'll work for you but this is my neck seam fix: 1.) With NIFskope Edit the NIF files for the body and the head by making HasNormals from yes to no. Discovered this trick from Radioragae. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7582/? 2.) Had to manually blend the color textures with Photoshop.
Seijin8 Posted May 22, 2013 Author Posted May 22, 2013 Thanks, Rayblue. I will give this a try tonight.
Rayblue Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 If you don't have Photoshop, open-source GiMP with a .DDS plugin will also help.
