gs456 Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 Not sure if this is a WW issue or a Sims 4 one but I have always used the WW animations with the first person camera and there were never any problems. Last couple of days however, during a sex animation, for example a bj, if I move my mouse slightly to right or left while in the first person camera, the body of the sim as a whole changes its direction to where the mouse is. As a result for example the dick comes out to the right in a scene while the animation is actually working properly. If I manage to hover the mouse in the right direction the animation align perfectly again. This has never happened before, does anyone know what might be causing this?

Something changed in the way game handles animations in the latest patch. Don't have any info as to if that can be changed by mods.

Not only animations but pathing as well it seems. I've seen more sims trying to walk through walls to get to a sex location than you can shake a stick at. In fact they just seem to like to walk through walls now no matter what they're trying to do. Dumb sims just got dumber.
icedragon613 Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 Having the same issue here, I think the Cottage Living patch updated it so that FP camera moves the body to wherever you are looking. This happens even if you are preparing meals in first person as well, that you're no longer cutting on the chopping board but in the air if you move your camera to the left in FP for example. Really unfortunate and immersion breaking, but am unsure if this can even be addressed by WW. I think Maxis would need to revert it themselves in another patch in the future in order to make it so that looking around in FP wouldn't move your body like in previous patches. For some reason I can't find any mention of this in official Sims forums that this is an issue or that other people have noticed this body directional change in FP as well.

It could just be a case that a good portion of the Sims 4 community doesn't use the first-person function for them to cause a stink about it. I don't. It's just too janky to be of any use in my gameplay. Have you tried first-person without any mods? You could always start up a bug report yourself if you're having issues in Vanilla. A lot of animations and pathing has been really screwed up with the recent updates. Maxis/EA has a lot of work ahead of them to recover from this update. Recovery isn't in the cards though because pushing out buggy packs for some quick cash is the motto for EA. The other motto is 'let the mod authors fix it for us'.
gs456 Posted August 8, 2021 Author Posted August 8, 2021 Then I guess I'll have to wait for EA to patch this issue, thanks for all the replies!
ashleygrahamm Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 So this is the problem from the EA Patch ?? We need mods that Disable those HEAD TRACKING/ ROTATE to be able to fix this...
Rodney_McKey Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 On mod version 163h-165e-167.1p no problem, . I tested it. The game version. - 1.78. Replaced the TURBODRIVER_WickedWhims_Tuning.package file in 165i from 165e The problem camera is gone. Forgive for my bad english
gs11b Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 I ran into the same problem in 1.77, but I didn't try it in v1.78, and then re-downloaded the game and it is now v1.75, no bug. But I dare not update to above 1.75. Does v 1.78 also have such a problem? Is there the latest situation? What should be the mod version? thanks

icedragon613 Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 Can confirm this is still an issue in patch 1.79. Good to know that it's an actual bug and not intended, hope it gets fixed soon. But since it's been an issue for a few months now I doubt it will be fixed or if it's even a priority for them. It's incredibly annoying when using animations and everything is misaligned.
