Lesbian sims are not into women?

Hi, I recently started having trouble with a new household, i changed my sims preferences to like women but they still dont find themm attractive and whe I try to start any sexual interaction between the two they dont because they're "not into women". I have the latest version and all so I don't know whats going on there

Preferences go a lot deeper than just gender. 

Age, appearance, clothes. All Sims (played and unplayed) have different preferences for these things that affect who and what they find attractive. If a Sim doesn't like what they see, then they won't be interested in sex.

A lot of times, even though you set Attraction preferences for a certain gender, it doesn't necessarily mean that they are into that gender.

 

You can type in commands in the cheat window (Ctrl + Shift + C) to set gender preferences.
