So I've never bothered with sex mods before, is there a guide?

Odd to admit it on LL I just like pretty, fantasy armours, never touched a sex mod.

Inspired by a recent conversation though, I'd quite like to gain an appreciation of their intention.

I don't want to screw up my Skyrim install though :P

Is a there a recommend install order for the Sex mods,  or recommended ones to combine?

SO far the mods   I've seen are:

Sexis +Cupid

Lovers Comfort

Sex Addict

IS Sexlab Animations  required or is it just a resource for modders?

DOes SexChat Require Sexlab I take it?

Can  Install all them in that order ok? Any guidance appreciated, please and thank you.

Sexis and SexLab are both what are known as frameworks that other people use to create additional mods. SexChat for example is a mod for SexLab so you would need to have SexLab installed for it to work. Lovers Comfort is a mod for Sexis, so you would need to have Sexis installed in order for that mod to work.

As far as I am aware you can have both Sexis and SexLab frameworks installed at the same time without issue (others may correct me on that though). You then would install the other mods (SexChat or Lovers Comfort etc.) after you have installed the frameworks.

Sex Addict is different again in that it is a completely stand alone mod (doesn't use any framework)

One thing to keep in mind is that you will need SKSE installed along with FNIS in order to use any of them.

I can't give any advice on install order I am afraid as I only use one of them.

Sexis is kind of irrelevant at this point with Sexlab out. I don't mean to discount it, but I didn't use it prior to Sexlab either, I stuck with Sex Addicts and that was pretty much all I used.

Sexlab Animations are a modders resource, you can actually install them yourself then clean and rebuild your Sexlab animation registry to update to the newest stuff Arrok has done (its all pretty fantastic, you can definitely tell the difference between Arrok's animations and anything else in the pack) but largely I don't recommend doing so, the Rev 4 of Sexlab was just released yesterday and I'm pretty sure it has all of Arrok's current non-beta quality stuff in it.

Basically at this point I just do Sexlab and SA, hopefully Waxenfigure will get SA ported to the Sexlab framework soon as well.

Sexchat does require Sexlab, but if you run it and SA in conjunction keep in mind that both add their own NPC dialogue to initiate sexual situations. I've removed the SA one manually and left Sexchat running because it takes disposition checks into mind. SA's dialogue initiation had no disposition checks whatsoever and was only circumscribed by gender preferences in the options.

Overall if you're not worried about having combat rape as a potential consequence of losing a fight, Sexlab is more than effective for initial needs. If you prefer the danger of combat rape as a potential bad ending to a fight gone the wrong way...then you need SA.

Depends on what you would like to play with as much as I agree that SexLab look more solid than SeXis and that Sexis does not seems to be updated any further there is still one mod that uses it and doesnt have its port to Sexlab yet : Sanguine Debauchery.

Never tried Sex Addicts so I cant say really, SD is full of bugs but still a very nice gameplay change to Skyrim if you are looking into sex mods, cant wait for the second version with SexLab

Wait wait don't get SexChat, get Sexlab-Romance that looks a lot better in regards to making sexual advances contextual and more natural.

Great wrong forum again. I'm good at this. Sorry guys.

Thanks for the advice guys, plumped on lad and addicts, JUST stopped Chat, :P thanks Pro will go for romance.

IS the Dialogue removal from addicts easy to do please? As Instant gratification doesn't offer much appeal to me.

Its not super easy to do because you have to actually edit the SA esp and remove the quest dialog line which can be somewhat complex.

I'd just ignore it, or attempt to laugh when you accidentally click it cause of the horky way the Skyrim dialog menu occasionally works. Waxen does intend to add the removal of it as an option in the Sexlab port I believe.

I think it just makes the game more immersive - I mean, you can marry, you can adopt kids. sex is in the game (look at Haelga) so why not use it to enhance the game.

Sexlab is a great framework with a few plug-ins now - Sexchat, Romance etc... Sexis the other framework also has Cupid and the wonderful Lovers comfort (although when that comes available for Sexlab, you won't need Sexis at all. On the Nexus there is Niruin's Business Plan which means you can turn Followers and your female character (if playing as one) into Prostitutes. The animations are fairly limited but the gameplay is really good. I'm trying to get Freshfish the author of that mod to see if it can be updated with the Sexlab framework. There is also Working Girl - another prostitution mod which is solo to your female character, but has a built in progression structure. There are others like Sex Addict and Random Sex which I don't have myself but are quite popular. Sexis and Selab can both be installed.

I would say one thing though - don't go mad when you first install them as you can get some serious Save Bloat - I'm talking 12,000mb to 100,000mb - this won't go away either and will slow down your load screens and cause CTD's - best to use it sparingly like going home or after a long hard quest picking up some NPC in a bar. Not go out like a nymphomaniac and screw everything in sight - although the temptation is there, believe me. Haha

Use it properly and you'll have a lot of fun with it.

Not real sure I can concur on that bloat. My save games have yet to exceed 10MB. Granted I only use Sexlab and SA and not NBP, but far as other mods go I have 158 active masters and plugins as of this time and a ton of script heavy mods on top of Sexlab and SA.

I always seem to get it with Working Girl - after a few clients the game just gets slower and slower - the animation takes an age and is vey stilted  - do a save and it takes ages/ Check the size of file and it bloats to 100mb. If I use it sparingly, it'd absolutely fine.

Ahh well I don't really have much use for WG, its not much of a fantasy, if I wanted to do that I could just go outside.
