LongDukDong Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 Okay, guys. But correct me if I'm wrong. There can be only one mane per generation. And Khajiiti are not so long lived to go on hundreds of years. Yet... along comes M'aiq who appears to exist within Morrowing to Skyrim, and that's hundreds... Let's couple that with the fact that he hides his hairdo under a hood or hat all the time... the hair of a Mane. He's the king dressed as a peasant among the populace, relaying lies among truth or truth within lies like any good khajiit. Your thoughts?
Umbra Nensei Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 M'aiq has not directly confirmed how old he is. One of his lines in Skyrim is "M'aiq's father was also called M'aiq. As was M'aiq's father's father. At least, that is what his father said.", giving support to the fact that the M'aiq in each game is different than the other. Considering M'aiq has been around since the events of The Elder Scrolls Online, if he were to be the same character he would have had to have lived over 1,000 years, an abnormally long lifetime for a Khajiit. An Inscribed Flute in Crow's Wood reads "A gift from M'aiq to his son, M'aiq," further implying that each M'aiq is not the same one as the previous, but rather related.
