dogface Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 It occurred to me that what Sexout really needs is a plugin designed for a regular playthrough ; one that is inobtrusive, keeps out of the way when you're not using it, lore-friendly, and realistic ; and one which the features can be individually toggled off so that a player can choose to use other plugins for certain aspects. It's important to me that the inventory doesn't get cluttered with config items, and dialogue doesn't get cluttered with sex invites when you're trying to sell your loot and do quests. So, I was brainstorming a list of features such a plugin should have, and here's what I came up with. - Vanilla fade-outs replaced. This is the most obvious and basic function it should have. - A lust tracker ; but a milder version of the one we already have, in that it should just result in minor stat drain rather than force the player into masturbating wildly in public. - A reduced-functionality combat rape system that only includes Fiends, Vipers, Jackals, Scorpions and Powder Gangers. - A reduced-functionality stalker rape system that is only active in Vault 3. Stalkers should temporarily lose all factional ties after raping, so that you can get revenge afterwards ; to reflect the anarchic and chaotic society the Fiends live in. - A "drunken pickup" system where the player can seduce people in bars and similar establishments. This is to help satisfy the needs of the lusttracker, without filling everyone's dialogue with sex topics. - A very basic prostitution system, where a nearly-capless female PC can solicit male tricks if starving or drug addicted (to be used as a fallback if you end up totally destitute somehow in hardcore mode). For simplicity's sake it would need to be "in the middle of the street" style, but of course could be disabled in favour of more complex prostitution mods. What other features do you think should be considered for a very basic Sexout plugin?
Dreamer102 Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 I've never seen the combat rape happen yet in-game or on the boards. How does it work? I have the health set at 80% and chance of happening at 80% i'm afraid to bump the rate up to 100% to test it out but if I have to I will.

I have the health set at 80% and chance of happening at 80% i'm afraid to bump the rate up to 100% to test it out but if I have to I will. It takes your health, the rate it's set to, and uses a formula to decide the chances of it happening. It checks every couple of seconds (so you could miss the check if the fight ends quickly) and you need to be very close to whatever you're fighting. I think, with your setting (the 80% rate is 80% of the maximum, or a rate of 400, yes?) you've got about a ~80% chance of being raped in combat. If you're talking the rate is just 80, then the chances are just 16% and that is at your health being 80%... the chances go up as you lose more health, so 50% health would be 40% chance. Formula found at http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=1301&pid=29471#pid29471
Dreamer102 Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Okay, so I should set the rate high and the health low? Example: Rate = 80% Health = 50% I just want it to work, the characters die so fast that there is no chance for combat rape in a game with guns, explosives and energy weapons.
Tregarin Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Before I can really say what would be best, are you setting it via the rapers book, or through MCM? I have to ask because neither of them have the rate as a %... MCM lets it go up to 500, the book lets it go up to several thousand. Now, if set at 80... yes, you would have 40% chance of it triggering at 50% health. (and if you end the fight quickly, it probably won't trigger in time) Set it to 400, then you have a 200% chance of it triggering at 50% health. Set it to 500 and 90% health, you'll have 50% chance of it triggering at 90% health... with the chance increasing as your health drops. And it does happen... had the fuck raped out of me by Betsy when I got spotted trying to sneak-kill npcs at McCarran. To test it, you could just walk up to a hostile and let them hit you... or, set the difficulty to max and try to take on a group of mobs in melee/hand to hand. Either of those will get you seriously fucked. (and killed)
afa Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Is this plug in a completely new plug in altogether? or is it suppose to replaces some of the other plug ins? or is it more like a config file to alter parameters of existing plugins, like Lust, Raper, and Prostitution?
