PC T-Pose (everyone else is fine)

Hey everyone. I haven't been able to figure out why my character is stuck in t-pose, while all other actors walk completely fine.

 

Reinstalled XP32, 3BBB, FNIS (plus always running FNIS before booting). Went through Nemesis, DAR and now in FNIS PCEA2 trying to fix this issue. Physics and SL animations are working alright (besides the t-posing). I started a new playthrough recently and installed new versions of some sex mods I had played with before, but that's also when the t-pose issue began.

Just to save you some time in the future you don't have to run FNIS every time you boot the game, only every time you install or uninstall animation mods.

 

As for the nature of your t-pose it is almost certainly a conflict between FNIS and Nemesis, since they are both animation stuff. Try running FNIS first, then running Nemesis and letting it overwrite everything. If that doesn't work, then try the stuff in this comment I found on reddit:

I think I figured out how to stop that, and I'll probably make a post later about it. This is intended for use w/ MO2, since that's what I'm using.

Use FNIS, and generate the files as normal. Output the files into a separate mod, such as "FNIS Overwrite"

Then, run Nemesis and output files as normal (preferably in a second mod w/ MO2, such as "Nemesis Overwrite").

Disable the main FNIS mod/files (just uncheck them). This may be unnecessary, but I haven't gotten any crashes yet, and it seems to work (no T-posing).

Take any meshes generated by FNIS for creatures and copy them into their own blank mod (such as "FNIS Creatures Overwrite", and enable it. Even though Nemesis doesn't generate creature animations, it appears it can still use the ones from FNIS.

Finally, this is the step that causes/stops the crashing for me. In the "FNIS Overwrite" meshes folder, there should be two .txt files; "animationdatasinglefile.txt" and "animationsetdatasinglefile.txt" . Copy both of these files from the "FNIS Overwrite".

In the "Nemesis Overwrite" mod, replace the native animation text files in the meshes folder with the ones copied from FNIS. ALSO, replace the ones stored in meshes\actors\character within the "Nemesis Overwrite".

Finally, disable the "FNIS Overwrite" mod. This should be the last step for not have the game CTD on startup.

In summary, the "animationdatasinglefile.txt" and "animationsetdatasinglefile.txt" files generated from Nemesis are what are causing the crashes for me (found in \meshes and \meshes\actors\characters). Replace them with the FNIS versions, then disable any other FNIS stuff (except creatures). Let me know if this is any help to you, or anyone else who has the crashing problem.

 

That's all I got since I haven't tried Nemesis yet. Best of luck!

I see this happen to me in combination with using Dynamic Animation Replacer (DAR) animations at game startup or new game.  After waiting on the game to settle down after loading a save or starting a new game, jumping usually seems to correct the problem.  I can force myself into a floating T pose by running forward or backward and jumping, then changing direction mid-jump (opposite of initial, so move backwards if jumping forward, etc.).  Jumping again clears it.

Blahhh I just realized that my issue was that I installed the Nemesis engine manually, don't drink and mod everybody. Thanks for the help though, I hope this info helps anyone else having Nemesis issues. I basically just gutted my data folder and put Skyrim back to vanilla so I can start over, although if anyone was curious -- you could probably find or write a Python script that would find and delete stuff like this that you're not advised to install manually, if you still have the archived file.

Also thank you for reminding me! I think I knew at some point but my fear of CTD had me FNISsing every time I started playing ;w;

SO how did  you fix it ? cause the same things been happening with me

If you're talking about the temporary T-posing that you can clear by jumping, the only way I found to avoid it was not to jump around like that while using DAR, or stop using DAR.

 

If you're starting out stuck in T-pose and can't get out, but other models are moving fine?  I don't know.  I never experienced that.  Are you using PCEA or something similar that gives the player their own animations?  If so, that might be at least part of the problem.

 

As a troubleshooting step you can try disabling DAR and see what happens?  It is just a DLL, so it should be safe to disable it without messing up your load order and corrupting subsequent saves.
