Hellfire3 Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Appreciate the new content, is there a way to play it in version 1.2.12? I haven't updated in order to keep using some older mods, and I was hoping you could make a version of the current content that is compatible with 1.2.12.
Nibbler2345 Posted August 8 Author Posted August 8 I doubt it, because they changed too much stuff, which I also had to change.
Nibbler2345 Posted August 8 Author Posted August 8 Next I will attempt this, assuming I can actually get it to work how I want... Â Â Â 5
Nibbler2345 Posted August 10 Author Posted August 10 (edited) The posing needs some work, but after many hours I finally wrangled the incredibly shitty animation modding support for this game... Â Â Â Â This thing crashes if you shift click something. It crashes if you right click something. Sometimes it crashes just from looking at a resource. Close the program? Crash. Crash? Your project files are corrupted... hope you made a backup. Edited August 10 by Nibbler2345 5

Nibbler2345 Posted August 11 Author Posted August 11 (edited) Yes, that's not so easy to fix because her feeling could change between those two calls to the function which determines what she wants to do. coomer11 Posted August 12 Posted August 12 nothing happens with the wife when i enter a fief unless she's a party leader or staying there.  is it feasible to have encounters with her if she's in the player's party?
Nibbler2345 Posted August 12 Author Posted August 12 (edited) I don't think bespoke events can trigger that way. If it's your wife in your party you might have to use wait with someone option. Edited August 12 by Nibbler2345 1
Nibbler2345 Posted August 15 Author Posted August 15 (edited) I can finally get the damn scenes to appear in game, now I just have to make a bunch of them... also, I wonder if it can display scenes during a tournament, haha. Also I guess I need to force clothing off... Â Â Â Edited August 15 by Nibbler2345 4
dudeofculture Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Looks great! Just what I had wished for long (to see what my wife had been doing while I was away). Good job. Â Looks like you are using Hot Butter scenes.. do they have all required scenes?... like village (maybe banging in a barn on top of some hay pile) What about if it happens on a ship? Maybe using some tent scene is sufficient. The arena scenes.... the problem might be that every faction has different arena types, but I would be happy even for just one arena type. Â Have you thought you might have to save (keep in records) how old they were when it happened, unless you want to calculate it backwards from the date. One way could be to save the string which you get like in the character editor when press ctrl+C. That string tells the looks and the age (that way it would remember even the hair style the person had at the time). Â About modding tools. They released some Warsails modding kit with 1.4.8 some time ago, but not sure if it has any use for PN
Nibbler2345 Posted August 15 Author Posted August 15 I'm not using hotbutter or hotscenes anymore because of some issues with both, and they don't have exactly what I want... I'm making the scenes because I need scenes to match the information in game, so correct body position, situation (it's a gift for a quest / she's your wife / she's unconscious in the arena etc) and be in the correct location matching what actually happened (in a tent / in a castle room / in the arena). Â It's pretty easy to save all that state information in the records for viewing. You need to save the equipment type, banner color, along with age at the time. Also sorry to disappoint anyone but these are tableau-style scenes, not full animations. It would take too long and not look good probably if I made full animations. But you get 90% of the effect and personality of a scene from 1 good pose anyway. 2
dudeofculture Posted August 15 Posted August 15 I didn't realize you look for that level of detail that it matches. In that case you probably should save the hair type too, because at least the player can change hair type legally (not just by using the character editor) by just walking into a barber in town. As far as I know NPCs don't use that  It seems the game keeps old long dead nobles in records (not sure if there is some time limit), but is that true for just mere 'notables' or 'wanderers'? And what about a situation where the other character is just some random person (like those town uprisings). That would need to save the person features. Otherwise you had to create a random person in records and personally I'm not a fan of those random 'nobody' figures that 'pollute' the catalog like in Captivity events. In those uprising situations it wouldn't matter if the person looks change every time (because there were many), but if in future you want to make a situation where the partner is some single person  Just my thinking. Maybe you have already solved them. Thanks
Nibbler2345 Posted August 15 Author Posted August 15 (edited) I will look into saving the hair actually... maybe it's not that hard, because I think I saw it somewhere in the character generation parameters. Â Generic people are also easy to handle, because the game actually handles them the same. For instance there are "characters" named Aserai Soldier1/2/3, Battanian Soldier1/2/3, which you can just load, just like you can load the character Lucon. Edited August 15 by Nibbler2345 5

I looked that HotScenes mod (I hadn't before). They are actually quite good I think. The author even gives Blender files for other modders in Nexus. Yes, it doesn't provide many scenes PN needs, but wouldn't it be easier to make just them and use the anims and scenes which match PN close enough? Maybe the Author would let you make modified versions of the scenes
Nibbler2345 Posted August 19 Author Posted August 19 I tried but couldn't get his blender file to export to bannerlord properly. It exports to a blank model in the model viewer. Anyway that mod also requires other mods to work which I'm always averse to... 3
Delzarin Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Just curious, I used Primae Noctis quite a lot when was playing year ago or more, on some older versions. When tried to run now, get a test of the Affairs of Calradia. I guess they have some similar functionality with your mod, and I think they are not compatible, but I decided to ask.Â
Nibbler2345 Posted August 23 Author Posted August 23 I don't know what will happen because I don't test any mods as there's too many to test. Looking at that mod, maybe I should also steal the idea of showing a history of your +/- relations with other lords... 2

Not sure what caused it. The better interrupt handler pointed some other mod (cannot remember what), so It might have been a combo effect as I had no issues with just PN (the other smaller mods were the same as with AoC)  It seems AoC wants to be some sort of a swiss army knife as it tries to do million of things and then you have to spend 20 mins in settings trying to turn off all the shite you don't want. It does have some good stuff, like it uses Hot Scenes (but only when you are with your wife?) and that's why I tried it with PN  For Nibbler: Did you make a change in the latest version so that if you have kids with other faction ladies, female kids stay in mother's clan , but male kids join the father's(player's) clan... Or is it some random chance? I was bit surprised when the kid (girl) stayed with the mother Â
Nibbler2345 Posted August 23 Author Posted August 23 (edited) I'm pretty sure I don't change that in PN. I'm pretty sure that's handled by this part of the base game deliveroffspring: Â if (mother == Hero.MainHero || father == Hero.MainHero) { heroInitializationArgs.SetClan(Hero.MainHero.Clan).SetCulture(Hero.MainHero.Culture); } else { CultureObject culture = (MBRandom.RandomFloat < 0.5f) ? father.Culture : mother.Culture; heroInitializationArgs.SetClan(father.Clan).SetCulture(culture); } Â So it would always be the father's clan unless you're female MC. I'm not sure why that would happen... maybe some other mod. Edited August 23 by Nibbler2345

Will see how it is going, even now without them I regulary have crashes from the base NavalDLC, or sometimes just even without catching the error with CrashDoctor, so no idea what cause iti. It is annoying.

coomer11 Posted August 28 Posted August 28 war wives have their battle set taken away and replaced with rags instead of their civilian set. and i think they don't their battle set back after they've done serving
Nibbler2345 Posted August 28 Author Posted August 28 I've heard that twice now so I guess it's a real problem which I'm gonna have to figure out...
