Kind of lost a dragon...

I managed to climb up the mountain to Northwind Summit, almost exactly behind the word wall and the dragon sitting on it. I managed to get a bow sneak attack on the dragon, which then flew into the air; it still didn't detect me, so I figured this would be an easy kill. It then did the ground slide move... and then it vanished.

 

I got out of sneak, nothing. I did a Shout, nothing. I fast traveled back to Northwind Summit, the dragon is just gone. Is it somehow possible that it fell off the mountain and killed itself? Is this some kind of new bug?

 

EDIT: I found my dragon! Several in game days later and right outside Riften' front gate, fighting some bears. Still had the damage I caused from my bow.

Skyrim is being weird tonight; I snuck up on some bandits and shot one with a bow. At that exact moment, another bandit was flung vertically into the air, and upon coming down instantly died.

i was at magic academy right at bridge with like 10 npcs there and come a dragon, the npcs and i killed that and lol 10s after comes another...
