Guest Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Hello,  i am sure this question is asked a lot. From people like me  Recently, i started to get myself costumed to the Creation Kit. I have to say, it is a lot that it offers. Just alone the key short cuts. I am struggling. The Bethesda webpage does have some explanations but what i miss are guides to explain me, what i am doing. Just creating a NPC is or can be a nightmare.  I am still doing that, because its fun.  Anyway, before i get into how to do AFF, i really need to understand the basics. Not sure how everyone started. Perhaps previous programming experience? I do not have any. I am one of the lazy guys that just used a computer but did not do much with it. Like programming. So this will be a challenging learning curve. I really do admire what people accomplished and created. Personally, i do not aim for anything spectacular but something interesting. But like i said, the basics are the most pressing issue for me. There are tons of videos out there, but i like to read things up.  If there are guides i missed, please point them out. Scripting is another issue and i am not sure if i understand it completely.  In the meantime i will check on Nexus what guides or tutorials they have. Also, are there any opensource face presets? I am trying to find something to make NPC's more interesting. The editor is quite painful.  Cheers.

lampuiho Posted June 24, 2021 Posted June 24, 2021 You can create npc faces inside the game using the looksmenu and then use faceripper to save it to an npc's record.
Guest Posted June 24, 2021 Posted June 24, 2021 Ah, so creating a male character and then export it from the save. I think that how faceripper works. Have to try. So far i just moved the sliders in creation kit which does make them look different but its pretty slow and not that great.
