Guest Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 I have some old version of animation packs that I would like to update. When I uninstall them do I have to do anything in-game in the mod configuration menu probably slal's or sexlab's config menu? Or do I just uninstall them, install new versions, activate new animations via slal, and rebuild sexlab's anim registry?
Gukahn Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 Depends, if the Author removed animations from older versions in their newer ones, then it would be a good idea to rebuild after the update, if not and there are just a few new animations added, then it should be enough to just register them and done. I run in SE tho, might be different for LE but i doubt that.

When I update the animations in LE, I first remove the old package, launch FNIS to make sure there are no errors, install the new package, reposition the Plugins (ESP), relaunch FNIS. In game, MCM / SL Anim Loader / Active ALL / Install ALL, and that's it. Replacing an animation package, as mentioned, may have variables. It is not certain that all the removed animations will be found, some of them may also be removed and replaced with others

Yeah I thought about that, I'm currently waiting for replies from the anim packs' threads because their description doesn't specifically mention anything about replacing or adding animations in the new versions. 15 minutes ago, Lestat1627 said: When I update the animations in LE, I first remove the old package, launch FNIS to make sure there are no errors, install the new package, reposition the Plugins (ESP), relaunch FNIS. Gonna be a pain I always omit furniture and object animations when activating in slal. At least some mod packs separate their animations with different files and slal tabs.
