Falloutbabe Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Paradox has a nice mix of construction and survival simulation at the start with Surviving the Aftermath. The game is currently still in Early Access, but the first simple mods are already available. I've already got 25 hours on the clock and I'm still discovering new things. In my eyes, this game offers great potential for modders and fans of mods. Vanilla game: Create specialists (heroes): Here it would depend on a good story. Currently there are four specialisations (fighter, scout, looter, scientist), but I could definitely imagine one or two other classes. Trader, technician, ... Quests: Currently there are simple encounters and decisions (Stellaris taken as an example). Creative people could certainly add one or two end-time episodes with subsequent decisions. Buildings/tech tree: There is already a fairly extensive tech tree. However, one or two decisions/technologies are still missing, which are delivered as standard in other games. Vehicles: Modify/upgrade vehicles. Base defence: More powerful weapons/towers at the main gate. Minefield, ect Adult Game: In my opinion, this is where great potential lies hidden. Unfortunately, the story more or less only shows the way. Build a settlement, flatten raider camps, trade with other factions (goods can increase or decrease trust (expandable)). Why not a specialist with a prostitution background who can negotiate discounts? A brothel in the settlement to raise the mood. Take prisoners in raider camps. When the raiders are at the door, instead of goods, earn a respite with services until you are strong enough to fight. Random encounters with sexual content. And much much more. wilson99 Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 thank you for the video ,looks good to me ,will watch it , not so in for early access ?
steelpanther24 Posted May 27, 2021 Posted May 27, 2021 I haven't heard of the game makers before. Do you know if they are using the same engine that drives CKIII?
Falloutbabe Posted May 27, 2021 Author Posted May 27, 2021 As far as I know, STA uses the Unreal engine, whereas CK3 uses the reworked Clausewitz engine. Mods for STA would also be much less animated mods like in Fallout or Skyrim. It would make the most sense to include narrative story mods, like in Stellaris or CK. Attached is a screen from a Lets Play that shows such a window.

Paradox is the publisher, the game maker is Iceflake studios. As for modding purposes, the engine that they use is the primary concern, but as @Falloutbabe said, it is using Unreal. My experience is in Unity, so modding this game would be a learning experience. As for the game makers, some makers are more mod friendly than others.

My experience is in Unity According to their modding wiki, you need the Unity Editor to create mods, so I assume they use Unity? Unfortunately there don't seem to be many players and even fewer modders so a lewd mod won't just come around naturally.
