The Launcher is Crashing

I bought Oblivion from steam and it's fully downloaded but, I can't even start the game.

You should NEVER use the launcher (found in the game folder) as that rewrites your oblivion.ini file which can screw up your mods.  You need to use the play button in steam.  If you install any mods at all then you will need to grab OBSE.  There are special instructions for installing and using OBSE for the steam version and those instructions are in the OBSE readme.txt file.

It was on my desktop and I clicked and I thought what could go wrong? Thanks for the tip.

EDIT: I figured it out. Oblivion HATES Geforce2.I got my Windows Vista during my High School years.Ugh Although at the same time there may be other factors.

Actually a fewyears back I played the gameandit ran fine. ThenIgotboredofit and deletedthegame to makeroom forotherstuff. Sorry, my keyboard and Spacebar sucks.
