Followed the guide, I think I messed up

Hello all,

After what feels like weeks of downloading and following the guide in the sticky posts, I am trying to run DyndoLod, XLodGen and FNIS.

However, DynDoLod doesn't find the ini files, the Skyrim SE launcher crashes before the Bethesda logo, Nemesis doesn't manage to update behavior, and FNIS returns a few warnings. Overall the game doesn't seem keen on running.

Now, I'm stupid and out of the loop on SSE modding, so I don't know what went wrong. Maybe you can help? Thanks in advance.

I'll link screenshots, to help diagnose the issue. I tried using Modwatch to upload the modlist I ended up with, but it doesn't let me change the directory to Mod Organizer/mods and it pisses me off, so I'll link a screenshot of the MO page, hoping you can see anything.

For starters, use the FNIS Consistence Check to view those 3 Warnings

Patch TK Dodge active without having the mod. Turn it off

Missing skeleton . Install XPMS(S)E . The correct number is 126 bones and not 99

Missing folder FNIS . Hiding the first part so as not to show the installation path is certainly not a good idea

369 Active plugins ??? And then we wonder why the problems? doing things slowly and a little at a time would certainly be better

Hello, I have FNIS Consistency check active in the screenshot, it's telling me 0 consistency issues.

TK Dodge is downloaded and active in the list, so the patch should be there. Having it off removes one warning though.

Skeleton is supposed to have been installed.

FNIS is in the mods folder with the others.

As to the number of active plugins... well I followed the list. As I said, it took a while. I even skipped a few textures mods. I don't really know how downloading them slower would have affected anything.

Consistency check has nothing to do with showing warnings. The warnings are there, just outside of the portion shown in the screenshot.

ESL files don't count towards the regular plugin limit. And I assume (because it's not clearly stated which guide, but I guess that's the guide) that OP refers to the guide you're also linking, so I think the active mod count is not the issue here (unless OP went over the mod limit with their own additions on top of what's covered in the guide).

But you do raise a good point about not showing the first part of the FNIS window + the FNIS folder not found.

Most likely a bad FNIS install, your FNIS is not detecting any of your installed mods and the first two warnings are likely about the generator folder or other part of FNIS unable to find the expected path. The same could be happening with DynDOLOD and other tools that need to connect to MO2 in order to detect and integrate your installed mods. I'd start by checking that these mods/tools are properly installed and added to MO2 correctly.

I'm still learning the hard way, but believe them when they say start off slow.  You have to make sure you have the basics installed and tested first.  I would also start with FNIS or Nemesis, but not both ... you trying to do way too much.  You will always have problems and conflicts with a large load order, so it's best you start out handling a small one.
