[REQ] Sexy Loading Screens?

I get bored of weapons and orcs on my loading screens.  Is there already a mod or could one be easily made that puts something more appealing to look at on the loading screens?  Maybe ladies in some of the hundreds of custom outfits?

That seems to replace the main menu.  Does it do anything for loading screens?  The loading screens display actual in-game models(nif).  A still image might work, but still that's for the menu which you see like once per play session.  Loading screens come up a lot more often.

I don't know of any that do this but in order to do it you would have to load the head parts,hair,outfit,feet,hands, and body in 3dmax plus pose it and save it. This could be done easily in blender with FNV or oblivion. But I'm too lazy to learn how to convert to blender then convert back and I don't have 3dmax. So I don't know if 3dmax is as easy to work with as blender or not.

 

This is also something I would like to see. Maybe someone who plays around with max might see this thread and be interested in making it.

Yeah, I didn't know if someone had already taken this on.  It SEEMS straightforward enough, not knowing a ton about modding.  Create some custom nifs and have the loading screen mechanism use those instead of the standard ones.

Well I do know that there is such a replacer for the monster from skyrim monster mod but I do NOT know such a replacement for barely clothed girls.

Sorry for the newb question, but how would you make it play your pictures? Didn't see any info on his mod's page about that, but would really love to do it.

You need to open your pictures in Gimp.

Download GIMP and the DDS plugin for it.

copy and paste a folder inside mainmenuwallpapers.
copy G and paste it, open g-copy and go to data/textures/interface open mainmenuwallpaper.dds
paste a 1080p wallpaper over the one i have.
select all,
save/ export

Jaysus Swords does this. They add ingame loadscreens of the swords you can get. Along with SkyMo as well, adding loadscreens of the creatures it adds to the game.

 

Maybe get in contact with one of them and find out how they did it. Then start making your own with character models and such.

So I looked at a mod Neutral Loading Screens, which basically gets rid of the loading screens.  The mod is very simple.  It seems the loading screen is controlled by an swf file called loadingmenu.swf under Data/Interface/.  I don't know anything about making or editing swf.  Seems like the thing to do would be to make a new loadingmenu.swf that points to custom made nif files.  Any volunteers?

Anyone with flash notions should be able to see where does this file links to, from there you can probably replace the existing models with skimpy girls

Now we know what are the nif used by loading screen ansd where they are stored, now just need to put better looking NIF files and link them into the flash.

exempl : replace the breton girl with mage robe and staff into something like girl in bikini ?

 

its possible...more than possible...just take a look in the monster hunter mod if you need help, the guys have add some ratalos (or other monster name) in the loading screen ..

 

i cant help you alots (but i know its possible) i only can replace the text in this loading screen ^^

 

but with the CK, in loadscreenart , you can replace the model (click edit) by anything on nif , i replace some model with some diegoforfun/rorono playermodel, it work ......the model appear in T pose (yeah not cool) but it work, so i suppose its possible

Yeah I saw this list before.  The sloppy way would be to replace some of the NIF specifically designed for loading screens.  It would only be a handful of them.  A lot of the loading screens just pull in art assets like weapons and shields as you can see.  Replacing those would lead to your character swinging around bikini babes at enemies.  The most effective way would be a custom loading screen that loads custom NIF and doens't mess with game files.  I know it's possible, just not by me.

Not if ou change the links in the SWF file actually. I did try to change some inside of the LoadScreenArt folder by some skimpy armor nif and it is working (it is ugly dont try it) so basically if you remove all the other links in the SWF and keep the LoadScreenArt folder only for what is displayed (and you can of course add more and link them into the SWF file) it is totally doable, but I am not sure anyone will have the patience to make a bunch of sexy 3D models just for the loading screens.

 

I cant do it either, at least not yet as I am just getting started with Nifskope and 3DS....

Can't they be replaced by static images? I think this was the OP intention: to replace the loading screens with somewhat sexier images

Not sure about that since this is a NIF file that is loaded and you can even play with it (zoom and rotate) while it is loading

It is just changing the text like the one with lore messages without touching the 3D model.

 

Yes you can edit the 3D model but the first problem is : most of the models are taken from the ingame models (weapons, shiels, standing stones etc ...)

Second problem : can ou make a sexy 3D model for me? Just for my loading screen? If it was that simple nobody would ask for armor conversion from one body mod to another and do it by themselves.... and it is just a piece of armor not a full model.

The best way to do this is to take a flat "picture" 3D model, like the map of Skyrim loading screen model that you see from time to time and then change the texture to a "sexy" image

 

Otherwise, you'll have to make an entirely new 3D model with poses and everything for the 3D screen and that's usually not a very easy thing to do

 

You can adjust how much you can and can't rotate the model in the loading screen, so just make it not rotatable and you'll be able to see the sexy picture just fine. Just do this and replace every loading screen model in Skyrim.

Yeah, having it load 2d images might be the easy way to go.  The NIF is possible obviously, but would take a bit of effort.  I imagine some of the guys doing animation work would know something about posing.  Again, it might be more hassle than anyone wants to take on.
