Guest Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Hi, im new to this skyrim modding thing, i installed bunch of adult mods and %99 percent of them are doing really fine, no bugs, no errors, but recently i tried to install few texture mods to spice things up but nothing is really happening.I ran FNIS skeleton arm fix and ran the bodyslide as well,( even though i think that wont do anything). There is no texture mods showing up on the mod configuration menu and none except two is working. Every texture pack that i used is in the image i uploaded. Working ones are "MikanEyes" and "SE SG Brows". I guess Wolf paint works as well. I also installed noble skyrim some time ago but that also didint work. Im using Skyrim special edition 1.5.9.7 Mod organizer 2.4.0 I used L.O.O.T to organize the mods Please help me with this problem that was kind of bugging me out for a few days.
Guest Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 By the way, "uh oh" is a "overwrite mod" that i created for bodyslide
Just Don't Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Texture mods are just textures... you won't have a menu or message in game telling you something. You have several skin related textures in there, I'd say you're likely overwriting most of them with a single mod (for example The Ordinary Women which is the latest one in your screenshot, that mod also uses an esp so I guess it redirects the file paths so other textures replacing files in the default path won't work at all...). Don't install a bunch of mods, install a few and test in game. Read and check what these mods do. Think, consider if two mods altering the same aspect of the game would work together or they would simply clash, overwrite each other. So go back to square 1, as you're using MO2 you can simply disable all these mods "not working" and check them one by one, preferably in a new game and after running the necessary tools (fnis/bodyslide,loot, etc if you need them, for example fnis won't be needed if you don't change animations, bodyslide won't be needed unless you want to change body preset or try new armor/clothing mods with bodyslide files and so on).

Thanks for the answer! I will try that, it makes a lot of sense but, isnt LOOT supposed to prevent that kind of thing from happening?

LOOT is not an almighty tool, it sorts your loadorder and can give you some recommendations/warnings based on the plugins you have. Most texture mods don't use plugins at all (if they just replace a vanilla texture you don't need a plugin for that). For most things you'll need to be the one testing and checking if your game is working as intended. The mod description and mod/file types (when you're familiar with these things) are a good starting point when asking how to get X mod working, how to avoid or fix conflicts and so on.
