Grey Cloud Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 I have follower who looks like this in Nifskope: Her hair is correct in style and colour and all the paths in the left pane are correct and match what is in the esp. In game she looks like this: That is the correct hair style but with the (incorrect) default Honey-Blonde Colour. Her head is like this in the CK so doing a CTRL + F4 is pointless. She is a default Nord race and has worked fine as a standalone follower and as part of a previous merge. She even worked fine in this merge until I reinstalled it. She does not have a femalehead.nif of her own so she should just use the default. Any help would be appreciated muchly.
RW311 Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 I would just go back to the original npc esp and compare with what is in the merge output esp. Most likely something got a bad id or there was a custom file path it failed to copy over. However if you opened this mod in ck and even checked the preview window and then saved ck could have wrecked the head part data especially if it is not vanilla race as well as filled the esp with missing/invalid references if it had any non esm master.

Thanks for the reply. Not the simple answer I was looking for. ? Probably simpler just to do the merge again. Part of the problem, if not the whole problem, is Vortex. I've just done 18 merges (18 x 10 followers) and this didn't happen with every merge but it happened on too many: I edit an esp in T5E, save and exit. I know the esp (in the Data folder) has been saved because the 'last modified' date/time is the current date and time. I do a manual deploy in Vortex to get the esp in the Data folder synched with the hardlinked copy. The esp in the Data folder gets altered (I don't think it should) and the last modified changes to 03\03\2000 00:00 which is obviously badly wrong.
