SinnerPen Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 (I'm really hoping that this is the right page to ask this, but I haven't found anywhere else) So, is there a way to manually tweak script mods to work with legacy? Some of my absolute favorites pre-legacy don't have legacy versions, and the old files don't work with my game for whatever reason. ;-; I'm stuck on a mac, so I'm wondering- how difficult is it to edit those files? I've got some experience modding, but I've never really touched the sims before. Is it complex, or would I just need to shift some code around? Thanks in advance!
Oops19 Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 I've no idea about the difference between TS4-32 (legacy) and TS4-64 code. I assume that some functions are missing or simply do nothing. One should compare both to identify the differences .. but only a few users have both versions installed. The diff may help to re-build missing functions. You can decompile the script mods, import them in and IDE with TS4-32 code and try to fix all obvious errors before creating a new package. This may take a lot of time and requires some coding skills. Getting rid of the mods or replacing the computer would be much easier.
