Can I find somewhere the video specs that are supported by the video player? I tried some random mp4 and mov files, with no luck. (I can see the files in the relevant list but the player screen remains black).  Till now I was only able to play images.

the video specs are simple: AVI format only. I use ffmpeg.exe (free download, Google it)  to extract and convert video clips to AVI.

the default options/codec used by ffmpeg seem to suit the game's mediaplayer.

 

BTW: the mediaplayer prefers square(!) movies, anything else gets chopped off at the edges. 4:3 is fine, but 16:9 clips will look horrible

I use Freemake Video Converter. Convert to .avi at 800x800 with xVid codec. Works great. Not all resolutions seem to work, it seems to like square dimensions better.
