I tried some random mp4 and mov files, with no luck. (I can see the files in the relevant list but the player screen remains black). Till now I was only able to play images.

I use ffmpeg.exe (free download, Google it) to extract and convert video clips to AVI. the default options/codec used by ffmpeg seem to suit the game's mediaplayer. I use Freemake Video Converter. Convert to .avi at 800x800 with xVid codec. Works great. Not all resolutions seem to work, it seems to like square dimensions better. 1

Hi, Marburg is sadly no longer available but i posted a tutorial at roysforum. I think the duration oft a clip can be at any value.
