Guest Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 Hey! I am having some serious color banding issues in dark areas with the Tetrachromatic ENB and the TAZ Visual overhaul. Here are two images to demonstrate the problem. The first image is the screenshot taken in game, I'm willing to wager that you won't see any issue there as it looks completely normal on my laptop, its pitch black like its supposed to be. The second image is a picture taken with my phone of what I see with my desktop monitor and there you can see the problem very clearly. Im guessing this is a monitor issue, but I don't have this issue at all with any other game like cyberpunk, Stellaris, xcom2 etc. Is there anything I can do to combat this? When I play the exact same setup on my laptop the image looks perfectly normal and viewing the screenshot also looks fine. My graphics card on my desktop is an RTX 3080 and my screen is a Samsung Odyssey G5 1440p so its not a shitty monitor either. Im a bit confused as to what I can do, any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
27X Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 Gamma is too compressed and you're clearly not using 10 bit color mode. 4:2:2 doesn't count. Make sure 10 bit color mode is enabled, make sure windows wide color gamut is on, and check that your enb settings on desktop are identical to your laptop, specifically adaption ranges and gamma curve strength.

Thanks for the response! Unfortunately while looking into my invidia control panel there are is no option to switch to a 10 bit colour mode, it only allows me to go up to 8bit. I can't seem to find out where to activate windows wide color gamut either? I also kept all the ENB settings the same. Not sure what else I can do :(
Tlam99 Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 blacklevel around 80, whitelevel around 180 it looks for me. setting of graphic driver must be off. best to start, let the nvidia driver decide for the settings, you can select the game in settings and have it done for a starting point. not global but program settings.
