Zap Sliders Not Applying

Hello there. Apologies to those reading this and, already, rolling their eyes in anticipation of these questions of mine- I'm sure they've popped up here and there a lot, but I can't for the love of various holy ones find a solution for it. And so I am making a post myself, as I honestly feel something silly is just causing the mess-up here.

Basically: I am using BD's BHUNP armor+clothing converser, mostly because it provides perfect skimpiness and adjustable zap sliders. Or that is what I thought, the latter bit that is. No matter how I try edit the outfits, I cannot seem to disable or enable zapped pieces and build them successfully. For example:

1) For testing sake, I decided to try change the Orcish Armor. Made sure Build Morphs is ticked, made sure the right skeleton is used, everything looking fine.

2) I untick Bra and Thigh Guards, two pieces that would be very obvious to spot when disabled. Preview shows them as removed on the right body. Looks fine.

3) I hit Build, which correctly echoes a message the files in the appropriate Steam folder of Skyrim have been edited. Looks good, too.

4) I launch up the game, spawn in some Orcish Armor, wear it. And the honkers are still clad with an armoured bra, as are the thighs hidden beneath armour.

I've tried using Batch Build, where I edited the Orcish Armour in the same steps as above, then batch build that single item into a folder. Do that for a few armours, and copy-paste the generated meshes into my Skyrim folder. Not showing.

Thought maybe I need to disable the mods (unticked and disabled their esp), because maybe it was loading them in from there. Did not work.

What am I doing wrong? I am fairly (60%) sure I've used zap ticks like this way back, and successfully edited individual armour pieces to include/exclude parts I wanted gone.

Help would be greatly appreciated, so thanks in advance!

Are you sure that the armor created by BodySlide will also replace the existing armor (in the game)?

Or is it the usual crap with Modmanager again?

I believe I may have found it. Despite having disabled all .esp's and being dang certain the game was drawing from the game's own meshes folder, it would appear that I can fix the actual in-game meshes I see by also copy-pasting my built Bodyslide folders into Mod Organizer's folder of the armor conversions.

So now, I have done this to make it work: (sharing this just in case others may struggle with it in the future):

1) Make a back-up of the mod folder of the Armor/Clothing Replacer

2) Under Bodyslide's 'Advanced' settings, set up an Output Path targeting some empty folder where I want the zapped meshes to be stored.

3) Manually do all the pieces' zapping in Bodyslide, building them one by one.

4) Copy-paste all the meshes in the folder to the appropriate ModOrganizer/Skyrim SE/mods folder of the Replacer.

Really uncertain how Skyrim was still pulling from this folder. Maybe, despite having deleted the mods from Mod Organizer, it still has some file directing it that way. Yes, I was certain it replaced the existing armour, as I've used it succesfully to set up some locked sliders for a specific set of armour I wanted an NPC retainer to have. Thanks for the prompt reply, however. Did not expect this to be the fix.
