I have a lot of script mods and cc if needed i can post those as well. i also have a lastcleanexception file if necessary

If you have Wicked Whims installed look for the WickedInfoLog.log file and attach it using the paperclip below and maybe someone can see something in it.

Best method for posting error files too rather than copy/pasting raw text.

It's not letting me attach anything like that I'm not given any option like that.. There isn't even a paperclip icon. What do I do?

i have a lastCleanException_20200904183006 error that has been created every time i launch the game. so there's quite a bit of them. since september 2020....

i assume its some mod that causes it. i have many mods and a large collection of custom content.

so it would be very difficult to figure out which one is the problem...

the first date that the error was created was on 9/3/2020.

 

ever since that date, there has a been a "lastCleanException" file created in my EA > The Sims 4(Folder)

the error has gone up and up -- now its "lastCleanException_20210212211248" on 2/12/2021

 

any help would be appreciated.

What is your game version?

Look for the file named Gameversion.txt in your TS4 folder and post the number here.

All your SrslySims_CookingOverhaul mods should be inside a single named folder in mods.

Once you have them all in one location move the folder to desktop for further testing.

Some of them may be out of date or broken.

Delete your localthumbcache.pkg in yor TS4 folder whenever you add, remove, or update mods or game.

 

Make sure all your LittleMsSams mods are updated too, (SimDa Dating App has update for Paranormal patch).

(You could also remove these next if the above trick didn't fix it)

 

Retest in game but don't make any new saves with mods removed.

(Although those above mentioned might not cause trouble if saved)

(Usually only if you remove cc hairstyles, makeup, clothing, etc. and save then those sims would have missing items)

 

Keep your mods organized early on so it doesn't become a mess later when you add more cc/mods.

Put all your makeup into one folder named Makeup and the same for other mods/cc.

Example:

Mods/Basemental

Mods/Clothing

Mods/MCCC

Mods/Makeup

Mods/LittleMsSam Random Holliday Traditions

Mods/WickedWhimsMod

Mods/Wicked Animations (all animations should be in here)

etc.

 

And be sure Wicked, Basemental, and MCCC are updated too.

You probably have an outdated script mod then.

 

Maybe post your WickedWhimsInfoLog.log here so someone may spot something obvious.

 

BTW you can delete all the lastexceptions as only the latest one has any value.

You should also post the last one here.

These are duplicate files you need to find and delete.

 

Update Road To Fame or remove it until update is available.

 

In the future don't copy paste wall of text of these files as they are too hard to read.

And you might also want to edit your last post to delete all the text and do the following instead.

It's just the way we do things around here and not everyone knows.

 

Use the paperclip below when posting replies to just add the file itself, or use the choose files to open your file explorer and find the file to upload and select it.

Thanks again for offering help but after i did what you said im getting this error code when i click on any lot to play.

i CAN go into build mode on any lot and i can go into swap househould members.

but i click on any lot to play and it starts to load but then flashes back the screen showing all the different neighborhoods and this error message

i just deleted those duplicate mods and all the lastcleanexception files except the most recent ones in the past few days...

 

if i were to run a repair for the game, would i lose all of my saved data? like my sims and builds?

No it doesn't touch your saves.

But if your worried you can backup your saves folder to another drive.

i just ran the repair and it's still giving me the same error. i have no clue what the problem is...

?

 

i just took out all my mods and was able to play the game. so i'm guessing it's one of those...

is there any way to figure out which one causes the problem, i have quite a bit

I figured it out, luckily i try to keep my mods folder organized and it was easier than i thought.

i added mods back in sections until everything worked again, narrowed it down to a small folder with cc such as a few random accessories and sex toys. not sure which one it was but i didnt really need them so i just trashed them. thank you again very much for your help.

Good job, this was the method I was going to suggest next.
