Hitting an enemy with a weapon causes CTD

I actually found the solution to this issue as I was writing this, but maybe it can help somebody else that's having the same problem. I fixed it by moving "Weapons Armor Clothing & Clutter Fixes.esp" to the end of my load order.

The game has a high chance of crashing to desktop when I hit an enemy with a melee weapon. Hitting an enemy with arrows or spells is fine, and the crash doesn't happen when npcs do it. It also doesn't happen if I just swing my melee weapon, only if it actually hits an enemy.

My load order as copied from LOOT:

  0  0     Skyrim.esm
  1  1     Update.esm
  2  2     Dawnguard.esm
  3  3     HearthFires.esm
  4  4     Dragonborn.esm
  5  5     Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp
254 FE   0 SimpleVampFixesSSE.esl
  6  6     SexLab.esm
  7  7     SexLabAroused.esm
  8  8     CreatureFramework.esm
  9  9     Schlongs of Skyrim - Core.esm
10  a     Circlets and Masks with all Robes and Hoods.esp

 17 11     CBBE.esp
 18 12     RaceMenuMorphsCBBE.esp
 19 13     SimpleOutfitManager.esp
 20 14     SexLab More Creatures.esp
 21 15     Schlongs of Skyrim.esp

I tried:

* Removing unattached instances and undefined elements from my save file using FallrimTools

* Using Save Cleaner, which apparently cleans the cells

* Sorting my load order using LOOT

* Cleaning the Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm, Dragonborn.esm, and Hearthfire.esm plugins using SSEEdit's quick auto clean (these were the only plugins that LOOT had warnings on)

* Reinstalling XPMSSE and having it overwrite all other mods

* Uninstalling Pretty Combat Animations SSE to see if that was the issue

* Running FNIS to see if it was caused by unregistered animations

Also LOOT is giving me a warning saying that WACCF_BashedPatchLvlListFix.esp requires Wyre Bash or Smash, but I'm not sure if that's relevant.

I also noticed in Nexus Mod Manager that "Weapons Armor Clothing and Clutter Fixes - CBBE Patch" and "SSE Engine Fixes (skse plugin) - (Part 1) Engine fixes" keep getting disabled somehow. I'm not sure if one of the tools I'm using like LOOT are doing this because it detects a conflict or something, but enabling/disabling these mods doesn't fix the crash.
