cailic Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 All the posts related to this seem to be at least 5 years old, with no conclusion to the issue. So, is there a way to keep the dead bodies, of those you just killed, from disappearing? This has always been an issue for me with Fallout 4. I get to loot only about half of the opponents I defeat. They despawn. I watched it happen. Yesterday, I killed a raider ten feet from me and I watched the corpse vanish after less than two seconds. Even though I was within reach, I didn't have time to loot the body. And the time it takes for them to vanish varies. I once looted several corpses, after a battle and saw a gun laying on the ground not far from me. I started to move towards it and it vanished. So, the corpses are randomly despawing for some reason before I have the chance to loot them. Yet, the bloatflies that I killed in Sanctuary remain forever. Hmm... I never loot the animals I kill, so I don't know if this happens to them as well, or only humanoids.
