How can you make your characters look like "plastic"

 

i.e.

their skin texture more looks like plastic to me

If you know how you can easily achieve the gloss effect with Nifskope as well.

 

As well, you can essentially make anything look like plastic if you use Photoshop (possibly GIMP) and a dds plugin, open the _s part of a texture file, and whatever you want glossy just change from black to white and save as DDS.
