Blazingvolcane2 Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 I recently updated the wickedwhims mod from 162c to 162e, but Sims 4 is stuck on 162c and keeps telling me to update when I already have.

Did you delete your localthumbcache.pkg in your TS4 folder after updating WW?
Blazingvolcane2 Posted January 4, 2021 Author Posted January 4, 2021 Would that normally be found in the mods folder? If so, then I think I have because I can't locate it anywhere.

Blazingvolcane2 Posted January 4, 2021 Author Posted January 4, 2021 Yeah it looks like it's not there.

Blazingvolcane2 Posted January 4, 2021 Author Posted January 4, 2021 No I'm looking in D:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4, that's where my sims 4 is located.

That location is for game install files only so don't put anything else in there. Use the location I mentioned above as it's the users working folder for Mods and such.
Blazingvolcane2 Posted January 4, 2021 Author Posted January 4, 2021 Oh okay, would that mean I would have to copy my mods folder from the install location to the one you mentioned?

Yes your mods won't work right in the install folder because the game can't locate them to load. Your Documents/EA/TS4 should already have a Mods folder with a resource.cfg file inside.
Blazingvolcane2 Posted January 4, 2021 Author Posted January 4, 2021 It works, now I know for future reference on where to install my mods to. Thanks for the help, but I have one more question; should I delete my localthumbcache and onlinethumbcache?

But it sometimes grows quite large in size so it's best to delete it every now and then anyway. Now that your Mods are in the right place you might want to make a few folders for categories or Mod names. Mods/Basemental Drugs Mods/Makeup Mods/Clothing Mods/WickedWhims Mods/Wicked Animations etc.
Blazingvolcane2 Posted January 4, 2021 Author Posted January 4, 2021 Okay will do, again thanks for the help.
