Changed gender mid game...

So I changed to a female to see how things would differ, that's fine, but my character is still walking like a male... it looks so awkward haha. Is there a quick fix for this? Like a console command or something? Tried Google, but nothing.

Open the console and select yourself. Type resurrect and it should fix the issue, however I believe the run/walk animations are the same regardless of gender.

You can download better animations on the nexus. They look less manly.

This worked, and my char did start walking like a female as she should, however she did float up in to orbit haha... A reload fixed that though. 

 

Saying all that, I've switched back to male anyhoo.

Haha,  remembering the 1st time I used the gender switch console command on a male NPC, back in Fallout 3. He/she looked like a transgender midway into the process, who also forgot to shave

This is why I use showracemenu instead.

The problem with showracemenu is, that it can mess up perks and attributes. For more "permanent" solutions I'd recommend a mod specifically designed for this. IIRC the underground hideout mod had a surgical machine that lets you do all sorts of character alterations, without messing with your stats.
