// Get the camera to follow my sim:
double click my sims icon ; I've found that the only way to keep following a Sim after he/she's passed through a door, up & down stairs, etc. is to click the portrait on the left, then the silhouette icon.

https://ohmysims.tumblr.com/post/24336581511
You can try to unpack sims3pack files as packages but usually they just come out as one big package file, not the individual packages that are in the sims3pack file. At some point they will cause problems. I went through this myself and just had to delete those sims and will never again add sims that come packed with custom content. Especially sims downloaded from the sims3.com exchange

When NRAAS story progression first start in a town, it asks you if you want it to get rid of homeless sims, just tell it no. ; If you use NRaas Overwatch, check your settings to make sure that you do not have Clean Up Homeless set to True. If you want your homeless Sims to stay in town after you've already instructed SP to keep the homeless, make sure Clean Up Homeless is set to False. ; It will attempt to get rid of some homeless sims that it deems (not always correctly) as unnecessary, some it will try to move into houses and make residents out of them. I don't like this feature myself and keep it on False, for me it does too many random unexpected things. Others seem to prefer it.

// Sims3 Dashboard:
I think you direct it to scan you packages folder in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods -N
"If you point Dashboard at the game's own core files it will tell you they are also corrupt (when they aren't). It's a very useful tool, but it can only interpret certain kinds of (package) files correctly and gives random nonsensical results on others. It really doesn't know what to do with world files either."
// Going to the Dystopian future (one version of the Oasis world):
Use MasterController + Cheats to give your sim enough lifetime happiness points (maybe 30K) and purchase the time remote control LTR. You can use that to change the future to any state you wish. [edit: there's a cheat way to get the lifetime points but MC is much faster. Of course, if your sim already has the points, you don't need either.] ;
You could always just change the future in the normal way. Get to level 1 in the Advanced Technology skill, go to the Time Almanac and click on "change future" under the Dystopia and Utopia panels. The Utopia change costs the least time.
And btw, The Remote Control only works in the present, if you didn't know
Time Remote Control:   Lifetime Happiness Points: 30,000
This will let you change the Future to Utopia or Dystopia without doing the Opportunities from the Time Traveler, which can save you a lot of time.
How to get unlimited Lifetime Happiness Points:
install Master Controller (http://nraas.wikispaces.com/MasterController) (& the cheats module) and add lifetime points there. You'll find the option by clicking on a sim and going to intermediate and selecting lifetime happiness.
// The Dystopian Future Event
https://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/intothefuture/utopia-dystopia.php
First, you'll be told to use a gadget known as the Meteor Magnet 3 times. This will pull a Meteorite toward the planet each time. Next is a Doomsayer's meeting at City Hall. Opposite to the Utopian Event, you need to get the Town convinced that the World is coming to an end and get them to give up trying to have a nice world. Your next Opportunity will be to convince six Sims that the Sky is falling, getting them to further spread the dismay. The last step in the Opportunity Chain for a Dystopian Future is to Trash Talk the Environment to six Sims, which will make them start littering. Spreading doom-speak and getting Sims to give up on the Environment leads to an awful, grim future.
The Dystopian Future Outcome
The Dystopian Future is hit by meteors constantly and there is trash everywhere. Smog fills the air, although Sims do not seem to be as impacted by the environment as they are in Utopia. They can go about their daily business, and even do so happily despite the stench. Stinky Sims in this Future get a +20 permanent moodlet from their acceptance of this filth, which you can surely get if your Sim embraces this new reality and takes part in all the wonderfully disgusting things to do in Dystopian Oasis Landing.
What really changes is their daily business. They will explore the trash piles and even eat bugs. Death is more commonplace because of all the Meteor Strikes. It's an act of evil to bring such wrath upon the Future, but there are plenty of fun things to do, and eating some bugs can turn out to be a positive thing. Keep trying, and your Sim will likely find some rare delicacies, but either way it's an easy way to fix hunger on the go if you're out and see some insects. Dystopian Oasis Landing is the place to be to find collectible Insects, thanks to the addition of the honey pot ant and pill bug, with many many insect spawners throughout the World.
The Sims 3 Into the Future: A meteorite strikes Dystopian Oasis Landing
Meteor Strikes are common in Dystopia. It's also a Space Rock collector's heaven.
Meteor Strikes
Meteors and lightning will strike the ground with great frequency in Dystopian Oasis Landing. You can turn on a Defense Grid by performing an opportunity at the Stellar Observatory, which will protect the town from being hit for 24 hours. If you have death flowers or an unlucky Sim that will be spared by Grim or are otherwise protected, stopping the Meteors may be a drawback to you. After all, there are valuable meteorites to be found if you go about collecting them. This opportunity also takes 3 gems and metals, which can be hard to find even with a collection helper, due to the number of meteorites around the town.
Since you get to keep the Meteor Magnet from the Opportunity to create Dystopia, you can make the problems in town even worse by continually using it, raining fire and rock down upon the world. This can lead to great profit when you're successful. While using the magnet, or when Sims are sleeping, do keep a lookout for meteorites in the sky from time to time to see where they've hit. Just don't be surprised if you see more visits from Grim than any World before in The Sims 3.
The Sims 3 Into the Future: Rummaging in a future Trash Pile in Dystopia
Rummaging in a Trash Pile in Dystopia may help you find Voltron Gnome Parts
Trash Piles
There are many trash piles in town that you can rummage through, have your inventor detonate, or even play in. Rummaging will often produce valuable objects that are placed in your Family Inventory that may be used back at home, unless you decide to purchase a lot to make your own home in this desolate world. You have a small chance when rummaging in these Future trash piles to find a piece to the Voltron Gnome that comes with Into the Future. Don't bother trying to pick up litter, for Sims will just keep tossing it. If you want to correct all this, you'll have to restore the Timeline to Normal.
Another interesting thing about Futuristic Trash Piles is that you may use a Nanite to help clean it up. When you do this, there is a good chance that the Nanite you get back will not be the same, but of a higher quality - meaning you could turn that uncommon Nanite into a Rare Uber Nanite!
Rifts
There are holes in the ground that can be explored rabbit-hole style, which will give a variety of awards, particularly gems and metals but may also make your Sim a lightning magnet, which can be very dangerous. These are left by Meteors and may appear randomly around the town, so don't hesitate to go exploring, but do seek shelter or get rid of the Singed moodlet if you have a bad experience.
Returning to Normal
Normal Oasis Landing is quite good after a visit to the Dystopian and Utopian Futures. You could go to the Dystopian Future to rummage many trash piles, get rich on Meteorites, or collect Insects, then restore the timeline to Normal once you've got wealthy off the suffering there. I find Dystopia to be the better Timeline of the two, because it's a more exciting and dangerous world. Storytellers will love it because of all the random things that might happen there, while others will enjoy the beauty of Utopia and the safety that can be found.
Restoring Utopian and Dystopian Oasis Landing to Normal
Emit will give you one of two minor events to undo the damage you did to the Timeline. Thankfully, it's a one-step event if you'd like to go back to normal and don't have a Time Remote Control or level 10 Advanced Technology to allow you to reset it easily. Ultimately, once you've explored all three Timelines and decided which you'd like to live in, you should become Best Friends with the Time Traveler so that you can get a free Time Remote Control and the Time Keeper Legacy Statue.
// Autonomy is only supposed to change whether or not sims woohoo without you telling them to. (I must have turned this on and forgotten about it.  I don't use debug much.) ;
"Turn off all the autonomous woohoo change, since we don't need rabbithole woohoo anymore." ;
I generally turn off the Nraas Wohooer woohooing features, and let KW take care of that part of my game (set autonomy to none). You can buy a box of 20 condoms, either online, or at the grocery store. The box will be in your sim's inventory, and he or she will use one for woohoo if you have condoms turned on... 3 settings... condoms off, manual (which I use), a pop up will ask if you want to use a condom, and automatic, which no pop up, your sim just automatically uses a condom. And each time a condom is used, there will be one less in the box, until you have an empty box that you must drag to sell. KW also has a condom dispenser. I place them in bars, and brothels. Sims often autonomously buy condoms from the dispensers, so that is actually a third way to get them, and the dispensers never run out. So, now you know they don't show on the sim. They show as individual condoms in inventory. If a box, hover the pointer over it. If fewer than 20, they are being used.

// Disabling Notifications:
Go into Options and click on General Settings, the 3rd tab from the left. If you uncheck "Enable Shop Mode" you should disable Store messages. You can turn them off completely, just turn off the messages or leave them on.
// Post your sexy photos:

// How to play the game in Offline mode:
Press the big circle button with a play symbol on it on the left side of The Sims 3 launcher to start your game. Using Origin, after you have logged in just click on the word Origin in the top left corner. Then select "Go Offline". Origin is now offline while your computer is still connected to the internet. ;
No, you don't need a constant internet connection. You will need to verify the game once online but after that you can put Origin in offline mode. Origin will start with the game but then just put it in offline mode to play. You do need to login. ;
if you are already logged in Origin, you can use the menu Origin > Disconnect.
If you are not logged in, and you don't have an internet connection in the computer, you can log in anyway and you will be automatically in offline mode. However, keep in mind that to be able to log in while offline, you will need to have logged in with an active internet connection at least once before, so Origin can get and save your account information.
Install multiple sims3pack files (like from the Sims Exchange):
If you place all of the sims3pack files into your downloads folder you can install multiple sims3pack files at: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims/Downloads. Manually they will show up in your launcher. (you can uninstall and remove them all at first to get a fresh start at installing them all at once (almost impossible to do them one at a time in the Sims 3 Launcher. -N) From there you can select all and install them. If you place all of the sims3pack files into your downloads folder manually they will show up in your launcher. From there you can select all and install them.
Some notes: Do NOT install hundreds of files in one go, do small batches that does not exceed 200MB. Launcher cannot handle too big a queue.
Any files inside the DCCache folder, ending in .dbc ("DBC File" in the "Type" column) contain content that you have installed in .sims3pack format. There may be one or more. You can cut and paste these files temporarily to your computer's Desktop to remove the content from your game. This is an especially useful trick if you suspect the .dbc (or .ebc) is already corrupted and cannot accept new installs. The pre-existing content would then need to be reinstalled.
Content in the Downloads folder in .sims3pack format is not read by the game itself, only the Launcher. So these files need to be Installed in Launcher before the content would show up in your game. It is also recommended to move these files out after a successful install so you have them as backup in case a reinstall is required. Keep only the current "going-to-be-installed" files in here.
// Pin-up Girl Paintings for Artistic Sims!
"SXS_NileBlue_327177_SXS2_NileBlue_MorePainting_V2"
Now, sims with "Artistic" trait could paint pin-up girls on their easels. I have chosen 40 classic Alberto Vargas paintings to replace those could been painted by Artistic sims.
Note, sims meet with these 3 conditions could repreduce Vargas classics.
1. sims with Artistic trait,
2. sims reached level 8 in painting skill or higher,
3. sims paint on "Medium" or "Large" canvas.
These paintings may NOT appear every time your sims paint, you need try some times.
Enjoy!
// Hunting as a vampire:
Go to a populated area,click on the ground and click hunt.The vampire will find out who has the best plasma (good moodlet).Drink from that sim and you fulfill the wish  ;
He'll be able to hunt the next evening, vampire sims can only hunt once per night.
// Animated Poledance mod:
This mod allows your sims to Dance on the dancing pole
must add the folder to your Mod folder. and purchase the dance pole and
animation player  from Sort by Function > Decor > Miscellanious section of shop mode.
(I found the pole here: Decor>Sculptures maybe a different one "exotic" -N)
// Dance Rug mod:
The object is based on RugTraditionalSquare4x4, and you can find it in the Living Room > Rug section, under "Dance Rug", for 100S$.
// I always clear out all of my caches before I launch the game. Attached is my batch file, saved as plain text, since I cannot upload '.bat' files here for some reason. https://www.loverslab.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=367385
Or Manually: Delete Cache Files (at least when starting a new game if not every time the game is launched you can -N)
https://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Sims_3_Delete_Cache_Files
Delete the four cache files in Sims 3 folder under Documents before you restart your game.
        CASPartCache.package
        compositorCache.package
        scriptCache.package
        simCompositorCache.package
socialCache.package (Note: You can delete this cache file as well "if" you have the Showtime EP installed.)
;  Here is the list of what I clear out:
    In "The Sims 3":
        CASPartCache.package
        compositorCache.package
        scriptCache.package
        simCompositorCache.package
        socialCache.package
        Thumbnails\CASThumbnails.package
        Thumbnails\ObjectThumbnails.package
    In "The Sims 3\DCCache"
        all files matching "*.tmp"
It is not safe to remove anything else in this directory that does not match that pattern
    In "The Sims3\DCBackup"
        Any file matching "0x*.package"
It is not safe to remove anything else in this directory that does not match that pattern
All the other files in my list are crash dumps, or stuff where EA is trying to sell stuff. These are log files, and any file in "The Sims 3\Featured".
// CAS (The Sims) = Create a Sim
CAF (The Sims 2) = Create a Family
CAH (The Sims 3) = Create a Household
(Not referining to the stand alone version called Create-a-Sim).
I personally like the CAF feature better because it seemed to have more sliders.
// Passion mod is an alternative to KinkyMod (but KinkyMod has more features so I'm going with that for now. -N
//Click on your sim. "Kinky World" >settings >Kinky World enable.
Kinky World should now load after a few seconds.
Now click your sims, Kinky World, Debug, "Always Accept On".
<< to see this you have to first enable Debug &TestingCheat under: Kinky World > Settings > Miscellaneous >>
Now your sims will woohoo at your command. I tell you to do this so you can test the animations. If they woohoo, they work.
Now return to Debug, and turn "Always Accept Off".
If you tell your sims to woohoo, and get a message such as "I don't want to", "We can't do that here", or several others that say your sims will not woohoo, then Kinky World is probably working.
// Troubleshooting KinkyWorld:
Best I can suggest is to remove all your mods and make sure the game is actually working properly.
Add Kinky World and test it out.
Then add your animations and make sure the files are being found.
It is a pain and takes days to get all your mods sorted out but this is exactly why I do it this way. I too had all kinds of issues in the past by just adding stuff without really knowing what I was doing lol. Good Luck.
// When starting a new world, don't forget to register the animations packages into the mod using the settings menu. How to register the animations with this mod:
"While in game click on your sim and click on kinky, go to settings and then click on animations in settings. Add new animation and type in each of the codes to get the animations."
Inside game click in Sim's radial-dial > Kinky World > Settings > Woohoo > Packages > Add Animations Package
type the name: [said package name].   {register animations  (search term for this document -N) }
write the name:
KW_L666_Animations
KW_L666_RapeBdsm_Animations
KW_L666_Kinky_Animations
KW_Amra72_Animations
KW_mike24_lesbians
KW_mike24_classics
kw_mike24_pets
// KinkyWorlds Requirements:

// Some people only ever add *.package files and never use the launcher to install *.sims3pack files. Many of those *sims3pack files (especially sims downloaded off the internet) are bad.
// Adjusting your sim's free-will is under Options > Game Options (tab) > there's a slider on the upper-left.

Whether you make your own Sim with Create-a-Sim or select a household from the town you're playing in, Sims will always have the same basic stats. ;
//  Kinky World ver399 (while buggy) introduced: "+Now that the pole dancers can dance correctly, they can earn money" While not in depth, it seems it would allow a player to set up a stripper pole where ever they want, and 'poledance' for tips. No clue what the income would be like but you were looking for options, and this is the only thing close I know of.
==========
Quick and Dirty version for installing CC and Mods.
(more complicated instructions: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/217955/how-to-install-cc-mods-the-new-way-guide-update-04-23-2014/p1
You cannot do this while your game is running as these files are in use, so shut the game down first.
    Go to C:\Users<\\Documents\Electronic Arts\The> Sims 3
Note: Just remember that in Windows 7 Documents is under Libraries, Windows Vista is under Documents and Windows XP is under My Documents.
2.1- Create a folder and name it Mods (watch the case it must be exact).
2.2- Click to open the Mods folder so you are inside it.
2.3- Create a sub-folder within the Mods folder and name it Packages (watch the case it must be exact).
2.4- Create another sub-folder within the Mods folder and name it Overrides (watch the case it must be exact).
Note: The Overrides folder is only to be used when a developer asks you to place his/her mod in there. Without this instruction all mods (*.package) go in the Packages folder.
    Saving the new Resource.cfg file
Note: This file is needed to add references within the game, where it can find mods (*.packages) on your system, without this file the game will ignore any additional mods (*.package) you have installed.
3.1- Hit your back button and go back to the Mods folder so you are on the same level.
3.2- Download / save the new Resource.cfg file located at this link...Resource.zip
3.3- Unpack the file to your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods folder.
Download your desired mods listed in the left side menu, extract the (.package) files from the (.rar or .zip) files.
4.1- Use whatever program (i.e. WinRAR, WinZip, 7Zip) you normally use to extract the (.package) file for the Mod.
4.2- After you have the (.package) file extracted, cut/copy (whichever you prefer) then paste only the (.package) file into the Packages sub-folder.
    Delete the four cache files.
5.1- Delete the four cache files in "The Sims 3" folder under Documents before you restart your game.
            CASPartCache.package
            compositorCache.package
            scriptCache.package
            simCompositorCache.package
socialCache.package (Note: You can delete this cache file as well "if" you have the Showtime EP installed.)
Once you have all the (.package) files in the Packages subfolder, restart your game. You should see a pop-up notification with a list of scripting mods you have installed.
        Note:
Tuning Mods, Sliders and Skins won't show in the pop-up notification, as they are override mods that replace tunable game files, within the game engine (ITUN, _XML, JAZZ and some others).
Custom Content (Clothing / Shoes / Hair / Furniture / Appliances / Cars / Other miscellaneous items) will not show in the pop-up notification either because they are treated as "Objects" by the game.
Core Mods may be listed, although it will depend on which area of the Game's Scripting Core Files, the developer has changed.
The pop-up notification can only display a limited amount of scripting mods so it's possible that some scripting mods will not be listed. That doesn't necessarily mean that they won't be loaded though. Check within your live game whether every scripting mod is accounted for.
// What kind of jean shorts get it to appear over the bikini bottom part?
If the shorts are 'painted on' and not a true separate mesh, this probably happens.

// Mod Limts?
Only you can decide what is "too many". If it takes too long for your game to load to suit you, then you have too much. There is no objective limit. I personally have 200 mods (package files in the mods folder---not including package files in the library) and over 500MB.Nov
// Wish not fulfilled even though requirements met:
I've had that happen numerous times. The most annoying feature of that is doing something that wasn't listed, THEN is shows up in the LTW queue. I use the cheats then click "shift+control" click just above the reward chest in the LThappiness tab... 500pts/click. ; Reloading the game can help complete the wish, or over-fulfill it (complete more than is needed).
// How to get all Plumbot chips:  Like "Competent Cleaner" to allow you to order your owned plumbot(s) to pick up garbage:  Click on the machine you make plumbots from and

// How to increase visa level:
Each country has its own Visa level. You will have to travel to each of the countries to build up that country's Visa level. Reach Visa Level 3 to max it out. earn martial arts in China, nectar-making in France and photography in Egypt. Learning these skills will make your Sims more worldly in the eyes of those countries. Befriend as many foreign Sims as you can. The more friends you make in a country, the more points you will receive toward your Visa level.
// My Vampire Sim Keeps Dying of Sun Exposure or Thirst:
I tried these mods. Maybe I didn't give my sim enough time to return from the dead (because when I bought the Lifetime Reward of Immortality my sim died from sun exposure and stress but came back from the dead.

https://modthesims.info/d/562754/cyberblade-s-immortality-mod.html
You can also purchase the Lifetime Reward that's permanent sun protection:  Immortal (30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points) – Become the greatest of vampires by tolerating sunlight and never die of old age - How to get unlimited Lifetime Happiness Points: install Master Controller (http://nraas.wikispaces.com/MasterController) (& the cheats module) and add lifetime points there. You'll find the option by clicking on a sim and going to intermediate and selecting lifetime happiness.
Didn't work -N:     Or: Give that silly vampire the Unlucky Trait in Create A Sim. (This doesn't prevent my vampire created in CAS to stop dying -N) This won't stop the dummy from spending to much time out in the sun, and killing over. But what it will do, it will cause the Grim Reaper to take pity on the poor fool. The only thing that can permanently kill a sim with the Unlucky Trait is old age.  "Unlucky Trait - Nasty things can happen to unlucky Sims, but the Reaper will never kill them. Taking this trait is like having a permenant death flower in their inventory. No matter how many times I deliberately killed my Sim, the reaper would neer take them. This leaves the only way they can actually perish -- old age."
// 1. Years ago I had a Sim disappear upon returning from France ; ... a save file from right before leaving for a WA world, just in case? Is that all that can be done?
1. NRaas Overwatch, ErrorTrap, and Traveler should help with traveling issues. I always Save As before traveling in either direction just in case too. The worst issue I've had is ages of sims left back home can get messed up, but that's easy to fix with MasterController+Cheats module.
2. NRaas Story Progression...would I want to have that on or off in WA worlds adventures? I don't know how well that would work in WA Worlds..
2. I usually leave it on.
3. Is edit in CAS safe to use on townies and Sims in general?
3. I rarely edit townies in CAS, I mostly use MasterController's Stylist to change hair and clothing on those types of sims. So far, haven't had any issues. When I do edit it CAS, I use the MC option to do so.
// Mod / package load order:
Your downloads folder loads alphabetically. So if you need a mod to load last, just rename the file and tack a Z at the start of the name.
The same goes for folders, so if you are going to put them in subfolders, make sure that the mod that needs to load last is in a folder that is 'behind' the first, if that makes sense?
Edit: it should be noted that Folders load before the single files. So if your DL folder looks like this:
FolderA
FolderB
FileC
Then file C will be the last to load, even if there are file names starting with z in FolderB. To make sure that your file loads last, you can load it like this:
FolderA
FolderB
zz_lastmod
OR
FolderA
FolderB <- put the mod in here.
And I feel like the more I tried to elaborate, the more confusing it comes out. Hopefully someone more eloquent than I can come along and help x.x
; The way its been explained to me is "folders are read in alphabetical order. And within each folder, all the files are ALSO read in alphabetical order."
-For example I have a TwoJeffs folder for all of TwoJeff's mods and a ZzBo folder for all of BoilingOil's mods. Because of the Zz part the ZzBo folder loads after the TwoJeffs folder.
-Parts of TwoJeff's No Baby/Toddler Swarming conflicts with BoilingOil's Less Toddler Annoyance mod, but I haven't run into problems because of the load order. ;
Be warned though, loading order doesn't always solve hack conflicts.

// Trait chips are a feature of The Sims 3: Into the Future. Trait chips are a trait system that is only used by Plumbots, and which replaces the trait system used by Sims. There are 21 trait chips available in the game. Each trait chip is placed into one of four hidden categories: ability, skill, service, and social. Different trait chips have different effects on Plumbots. Plumbots may have 3 to 7 slots depending on their quality level, and can be upgraded to have more trait chip slots. Slots can be left empty, and trait chips can be removed and replaced at any time, though there is a chance that removing a trait chip will damage it. Sims are able to buy trait chips from the bot emporium in Oasis Landing. Designing a trait chip increases the Bot Building skill. Sims can also buy the Trait Chip Bundle for 10,000 lifetime happiness points. Sims can also design and create trait chips with Reventlov's Bot Workshop. Designing a trait chip increases the Bot Building skill. Creating a trait chips requires a certain level of Bot Building skill as well as the components needed to create it. The needed components may include any nanite, specific nanites, blank processors, and crystal flowers.
// How to build plumbot:
Exporting Plumbots makes them always loose their trait chips. This is not due to this special creation but a general bug of the game.
Buy Mode > Study > Hobbies and Skills > and buy Reventlov's Bot Workship for $9750 ; I think NRAAS DebugEnabler (Usage: Rabbithole> NRaas> Debug Enabler> Options: Reventlov's Bot Workshop > Debug: Create a Plumbot >  Pre-made Plumbots (load LS_FemmeBot from Bin) > Enjoy! ^^
clicking on the bot maker and your sim can get all of them. Been awhile since I had a plumbot in the household but found that is the quickest way to get trait chips. Just needed the plumbot to babysit the kids while my sims were at the community college and clean the house. I don't even check on them or play them. I should be shamed... The machine you make plumbots from, click on it and Nraas should come up. Click on it and pick Debug Enabler. Should have a choice of getting trait chips. Click that and all the trait chips will be in the sim's inventory. ; Debugenabler it's so great: a pair of click on the fridge and you got it fully furnished with everything edible in town^^ Oooh Twallan ; Thank you. My bot is still level 0 in quality, but at least I have 10 chips inside.
// How to get a Sexbot Chip or make a Sexbot:
 looking at the KW settings and debug options, and experiment a little, you might have noticed you can use KW debug to change Sims into KW sexbots. Then you could remove all the chips - INCLUDING - the sexbot chip. Then use KW to revert to human, and have several high quality chips in that sims inventory. - IF - you bothered even looking at the KW debug options and decided to experiment a little. ;
First enable Debug &TestingCheat under: Kinky World > Settings > Miscellaneous. Make my sim into a plumbot (using KW > debug > more > "transform into droid") then removed his trait chips including the coveted sexbot chip by clicking on them with another sim selected > "adjust trait chips." I then reverted him back to human form (using KW > debug > more > "revert to human"). Transfer the trait chips if necessary from one sim to the other by dragging them from their inventory onto the other sim. -N ;
Actually all you need to do to make plumbots (and most trait chips) is to have Into the Future installed and then purchase Reventlov's Bot Workshop (1050 simoleons, easily within the reach of a starting household). You can research all but the rare nanites, including the Tunneling nanite required for the SexBotChip, and reverse engineering nanites supplies you with blank processors. The sticking point are the required crystal flowers (SexBotChip needs 6 love charged ones), but there are a couple of ways to get some without travelling into the future. Easiest way (which also gives access to the rare nanites over time) is to edit town and add the Nuts & Bolts Bot Emporium. The random items that the shop sells commonly include all the crystal flowers. I did that and it didn't take long to get the Sexbots started. Or you could use cheat mode to add some." ;
"Requirements for the sexbot chip are:
Level 7 in bot building/6 Love powered crystals/1 Tunneling Nanite/2 Medium Processor chips" "KW has a thing called the SEXBOT chip." ;
// Making a plumbot into an andoid simbot humanoid:
Edit my converted-to-plumbot" sim: "Thru either an official Plumbot building station, or better - NRaas/MC/Advanced/CAS" ; Plumbots/KWbots are only supposed to have ONE outfit - the everyday. ;
(Neither of these two following methods worked for me. The 3rd one below I didn't try. Instead I downloaded LadySmoks' LS_FemmeBot https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/15207-ls_femmebot/ -N)

https://forums.thesims.com/en_us/discussion/734788/tutorial-how-to-create-a-humanoid-looking-plumbot
I don't know if this method works but actually I ended up going the plumbot route with LS_Femmebot mod and installing sexbot chips from Kinky World (refer to the section above).

When you load simbot in CAS, use premade or your saved sims Load one of them according to your personal choice(age what you like, i used teen-elder) Instead to skin from the scratch your new simbot what will lead to hair without head effect very often.
Save simbot, exit CAS, reset simbot. Done.(Upgrade chipsolts by master controller/advanced/upgrade triat chips(1-7) /traits/change trait chips and give desired chips/function to your plumbot.
If you don`t want simbot-plumbot byt pure plumbot, remove occult plumbot symbol without reseting to keep fun&social functions enabled and working
Now he/she can interact with humans and you can customize simbot look again in cas.
p.s. make sure that your plumbot is on desired quality level before you add him/her occult symbol:symbot.
Because of adding 2nd occult symbol use nraas Hybrid mod along with Master Controller.
-Plumbot to human form without using occult symbol simbot-
testingcheatsenabled true, right click on plumbot,( master controller edit in cas, stylist whatever) enter in CAS,load your sim from saved/premade sims, save, exit cas, reset plumbot, voila, your fully functional plumbot reset plumbot. Enter in Master controller, upgrade trait slots in advanced to max 7, adjust traits(traits chips from there, give 7 chips, sentience, capacity to love.. as you wish and that`s it. Reset plumboid one more time just for case.
Even if plumbot`s quality was 10 ,display will show 0 and it`s not possible to change that(from to me unknown causes)
fun&social seems not shown correctly so 1st method is much more stable and 100% working. My plumbot can cast spells too xD
witchbot
And also, they can have babies xD lol
// World Adventures:  Where do you get pomegranites:
You can buy them from the food vendor at the markets in Egypt ; I found some pomegranetes growing to the West of the Egypt map. They were low quality but my plan (pre game crash) was to grow them back home to a better standard (or at a vacation home, if you have one). The lot they were on looks like a farm with rows of plants. There were only 3 plants to harvest from if I remember correct. ; Pomegranates are native to Egypt (at least in TS3), and I believe they can be bought from the food merchant, if you select "buy" instead of "buy food."  There's also an orchard overlooking the river bank downhill from the mansions on the west side of the map. ; ou can go to Barakat's House in Egypt, it have a promegranate tree side of their house. ; Pomegrantes are found in the Pivert's front garden they only have one tree so you have to go early am to harvest on one day and return either later that day before sunset or the next day. Make sure you keep your son fed while trying to obtain enough for mission otherwise sum will eat off of your supply!  ; My sims was able to harvest 3 from Barakats house.
She waited one day and did some explorations the next day. 24hrs later the tree replenished and gave her 3 to harvest. ; In France, there's a house in the northwest (the Pivert family lives there when you first visit) that has at least one pomegranate tree.  You can check every day to find out whether it's harvestable. ; You can also collect pomegranate seeds in Egypt, although they'll read as unknown uncommon seeds.  And you can plant those seeds at home, or mature pomegranates, just like other harvestables. Or, if you're really desperate, you can find the mature trees in buydebug.  About half of the ones you place will already be harvestable. ; You must get Attacked by a Mummy And get mummys curse then you will be able to hipnotize some one into Giving you "Very Nice Quality" Pomegranets...You have to hipnotize them becouse very nice quality pomagranets are Hard to get.. Or you can take a risk and steal from the Queen of eygpt and become a fugitive... Your choice!

// To get the pet bowl you can (either go to the pet store and buy it or you can) go to buy mode and all the pet stuff is in the kids room area. ; Buy a food bowl and fill it up twice a day and then they will feed themselves for the most part. But later if you do the dog Mystery Journal you get a better bowl which you should get it's worth it. ; I think you can buy treats for them as well, which help to keep them occupied when your out with them. ; To get the pet treats you have to go to a active sim. Then you have to click on your pet after you're on your active sim. Then once you've clicked on your pet go to the tab that says GIVE LOVE then go the tab under that says pet treat and click on it. And that should do it for you.

 click on the Sim whose relationships you'd like to edit -> NRaas -> Master Controller -> Intermediate -> and then either "Relationship by Category" (Stranger, Acquaintance, Friend, etc.) or "Relationship by Value" (set the value from -100 to 100), close the next screen (X at the bottom), and then select the Sim on the other end of the relationship. They will acquire that relationship level with the other Sim. It affects both Sims, so it's probably easier to select the new Sim and edit their relationship with everyone else in the household rather than go individually on the existing household members. ;
-If you want to edit their relatedness instead, that's also in the Cheats add-on for MasterController: NRaas > Master Controller > Advanced > Family ;
-If we are talking about changing their friendly score towards each other,

Nraas > Master Controller > Advanced, and then Edit in CAS
https://www.wikihow.com/Get-Into-Create-a-Sim-While-Playing-the-Sims-3-Game
1. Don't need to use this methos with the NRAAS Master Controller mod installed. ;
Save your game. Using this cheat can cause glitches to appear in your game, so it's always wise to save before cheating just in case something goes wrong and you need to revert.
2. Open the command console. You can open this at any time by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C.
If that doesn't open the console, some users have reported that the Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + C works instead.
3. Type testingcheatsenabled true and press Enter.
You cannot edit Pregnant Sims, Imaginary Friends, Ghosts, Vampires, or Mummies. Unless: Nraas > Master Controller > Advanced, and then Edit in CAS.
4.  Switch Sims so that you aren't controlling the Sim you want to edit. You will not see the option if you try to edit your active Sim.
5.  Hold Shift and click the Sim you want to edit. Select "Edit Sim in Create a Sim" from the menu that appears. You cannot edit Pregnant Sims, Imaginary Friends, Ghosts, Vampires, or Mummies. <<<Twallan's Master Controller, you can turn them into a regular Sim, edit them, and then turn them back into a vampire.... Go into Mastercontroller, intermediate, occult. Then choose human or if going the other way choose vampire. click on the sim (any age -N) and Nraas > Master Controller > Advanced, and then Edit in CAS.  ; not positive. you used to not be able to edit vampires, because they would lose their vampireyness. now it seems a little different, as im able to download or edit vampires from other people and they stay vamps. So save first, and give it a try :) you can quit without saving if it doesnt go well. ; when i change my sims clothes i save them to my bin (in CAS -N) along with whoever else in the family, then i go to edit town and go to cas, where my family is saved in the bin and i start editing. they still stay vampires once you send them back out into the world. hope this was helpful. ; You cannot edit in CAS any "occult" sims (so any non-normal sim) with the official cheat. The mod versions of edit in CAS still work fine. ; What I did was I turned them back to human (By buying something from the Science Facility) Then I make them eat the thing I bought then I edit them. After that I go to my vampire friend and ask them to bite me and it two days (sim form)you edit a vampire). >>>
6. Not all of your changes will take effect when you finish, and your game may crash when exiting CAS. Editing a Sim in CAS will reset it to the beginning of its age stage. For example, if you have a Young Adult Sim that's a day away from becoming an Adult, editing her in CAS will revert her to the beginning of her Young Adult stage.

Have you tried emptying their personal inventories? You could also try evicting the entire household from within Edit Town, copy their lot down to the bin, bulldoze, replace it with a copy, and move them back in. You used to be an NRaas mod user. Without MC to do a proper reset on the sim, and without Overwatch and ErrorTrap to help prevent game breakage, not sure what else to suggest. ; Use the cheat "resetsim firstname surname" or go to "Edit town" and evict the glitched sims from the household and add them again. This will result in loss of their wishes, however.
// Organizing your mods folder(s)/Packages:
Is there a way to organize my mods folder?
"You could, but keep in mind that the packages only go one folder deep. From your mods folder, you could have
".../mods/packages/hair/insert mods here"
but NOT
".../mods/packages/hair/male/long/mods here"
Hope this sleepy explanation helps! :)You can open your resource.cfg in a text editor and add lines for deeper subfoldering. Just follow the format of the lines in it already (priority 500 etc etc). I think if you go deeper than three subfolders (Mods/Packages/hair/male/bflysims/cc.package for example) it has trouble loading." ;
Subfolders in the Mod folder:
There's been some information and example given of how Sims 3 modfolder/subfolders work. When properly labeled, they can create a load order. I'll show another example: Use numbers at the beginning of the sub-folder description - Zero loads LAST!
9 - extra            <---- loads first
8 - Hair
7 - Clothes
6 - Animations
5 - Objects
4 - CAS parts      <---- Skins/etc.
3 - Sliders
2 - Random scripts
1 - KW
0 - NRaas            <---- loads last
One can also put 'sub-folders' within these folders as well if one wanted to keep certain types of
CC split/grouped as well:   4 - CAS parts/makeup
This is an example of a hierarchy and not a 'proof of load order'  - I myself would keep NRaas
and KW loading last though. The concept is so those wanting to experiment with load order can
do so successfully.
You'll notice the OVERRIDE folder is outside the PACKAGE folder - this is so this folder's contents
should always have the last word - but not to be a package folder substitute at all. (not even sure if some CC is recognized while placed in the overrides folder)
// How to deliver items in World Adventures for quests:
(Actually I can't figure this out for the pomegranates in Egypt. -N)
"Above your moodlets box, a little button will pop up saying Repot in or Deliver Item. Just click that and you will be taken to the person." ; Sometimes the quest will just disappear before the "Report in" or "Take item to Sim" option is fulfilled. Other times it will just not give me the option to return it. Usually if I go home and then return to the location, it will give me the option again. Or, I just cancel that challenge, move on to the next one, and it will usually eventually give me the "broken" challenge again and I can actually return the item.

// Where can I find Torquoise gems in Egypt:
If you click on map view, you will see little picture indicators showing you where the turquoise is. Then all you have to do is go get it ; Not always, especially not the turqoise adventure. Sometimes it makes you find it elsewhere. And even when the map does show all of the locations, it's still quicker to just go to the market and buy it if the market has what your sim needs rather than make your sim run all over gods creation to get it. ; It always does for me. All I do is go to map view and whatever I'm supposed to be looking for always shows up. And I don't "run" (or even drive/ride) anywhere, I teleport everywhere and it's a piece of cake to pop all over the map and collect whatever it is I need to get in literally a matter of seconds. ;) So why buy it from the relics merchant when you can get it yourself for free in less time? ; It can take some time for gems to spawn, especially if it's a fresh copy of Egypt. If you do not see any map tags for turquoise, or not enough to complete the quest, just wait a while. Or you can always buy some at the market. ;
// Vampiric sunscreen:
Elixir shop or learn the recipe by studying at the alchemy station and make it yourself. ; - Level 3 Alchemy Skill Vampiric Sunscreen Materials: Any Metal, Any Insect 12h moodlet that prevents the negative moodlet that appears when a Vampire has been in the sun too long. If you don't want to make it, buy it from the elixir shop. If it is not there then you will need to buy potions for new potions to appear. If you're not in Moonlight Falls then you will need to place one in edit town mode from the community lot bin. You can also purchase the Lifetime Reward that's permanent sun protection:  Immortal (30,000 Lifetime Happiness Points) – Become the greatest of vampires by tolerating sunlight and never die of old age. Stay out all night and all day as a vampire. The Immortal LTR not only saves your vampire from death, it also gives them a sparkly coat to protect them from those UV Rays. A Vampire’s thirst motive decays slower, and the “Drink” or “Offer to Turn” interactions will never be rejected. Immortal reward is available to Vampires only (Adult – Elder).
; Funny thing is sims can "fail" when making potions and they explode turning the sim into a toad. I had a witch who made a living off of selling potions and she kept turning herself into a toad. She ether had to request a kiss from someone or make a minor cure potion. ; I have a female vampire level 5 alchemist. I cannot for the life of me find sunscreen. Everytime I go to make an elixir, it does not come up on the list of options to create. I know- supposedly the store "sells it sometimes". I have yet to see it there. I also know- that I should be able to make it myself. Again, I am a level 5 alchemist and I have read about every thread on the net regarding making the suncreen. It took forever for me to even find the right recipe online. At first I thought it was metal (any type) and insect (any type) but then I recently read an article saying it is Valerian Root and Bloodstone Dust that I need. My poor gal is so burned all the time she can't even hunt. Any help/guidance is appreciated. ; My witch makes Vampiric Sunscreen all the time and sells it for good money at the store. He has mastered Alchemy and he has bought all the alchemy recipes sold at the bookstore. Vampiric Sunscreen did not come from those recipes, he learned how to do it by "researching Alchemy" with the book that exists on the Alchemy Station. I can't remember which level he was when he found the recipe but I realized that witches have to read a recipe for being able to make it (just like the cooking skill). So, if you are not doing it already, have your sim "research Alchemy" at the station and hopefully she will come across it sometime. ; You need to Research Alchemy. With that interaction your sims will learn new alchemy recepies. }
// Unroutable sim resets:

On City Hall or an in-game computer:
NRaas > Overwatch > Settings > Stuck Check (as to whether OW bothers to notice)
NRaas > Overwatch > Settings > Stuck Check Auto-Reset (switch to False if you don't want this)
But you can't make the game itself fail to take such action. This is not a glitch, it is intended behavior as stuck sims all over town repeatedly trying to re-route can in many instances cause game-breaking lag.
// Move my sims 3 character from one world to another:
NRaas Traveler mod allows you to move your sims (by phone/computer) to a new world while keeping the original one still in play. Only one world can be actively played at a time, but with the mod in play we can travel sims across the two (or more) worlds, move our sims or others back and forth between them, go back for visits, etc. and the relationships and history are preserved within the same ongoing game. ;
Go to edit town click on your sims house then there are a couple of options but the one you want is save household to library once  you do that you can start up any world to play in when your new world starts up the options are CAH (create a household),  choose a houshold move in household <--this is the one you want so with move in houshold choose your sim from the libary he/she will keep what ever skills they have built up they do loose the friendships ;
If you want your existing sim or family to move to a new town, load the game, click on your sim, and select "real estate and travel services." The option to move will come up, and you can select "within this neighborhood" (if you just want a different house in your town) and "to new town." I think you need a certain amount of money to move to a different neighborhood, but I don't know for sure as I've never done that; you definitely can't move to a new town when a sim in your household is pregnant and showing, at least without mods. ;
If you want to move your current household to another world. I suggest going into edit town , evicting your current household and saving them to library . You can also do that with the house separately. You can then start a new town , place the house you saved in library and then place your family in the house. This is the better way. If you use the real estate option to move your family to another world and especially with the house you may run into game issues. I have lost sims in the past using this real estate option with no way to get them back. Traveling in this game can sometimes corrupt your saves. My instructions to save your family to library first is the better option. They will keep all their money, inventory and their current jobs when you place them in a different world. ;
//Third Person Mod:
(F1) you can seamlessly switch between normal mode and third person mode. While in third person, you can control your Sims using your keyboad to move them around the world by pressing the following keys:
W, A, S, ? Movement
Shift: Sprint
F1: Activate/Deactivate Third Person
// (June 2020) I something that needs to be said is that the Steam version is DRM free. You only need to run it once from Steam so it creates all the registry entries (you may need to run it again if you install new packs). After that, you can simply run it from the TS3W.exe without having Steam on the background and totally bypassing the Launcher (which is not possible with the Origin version).
// I thoroughly enjoyed Late Night dlc when I played it on Origin. The group system for that expansion is pretty much reason enough to get it haha
// To backup store content, follow these steps:
v Make a new folder (I have my on the computers desk) name it something like store item back up.
v Make a few folders inside this folder; this is because whenever you reinstall your store items (or just install new items) you are risking getting an error if you install more than 200-300 MB at a time. So every subfolder is to not be any bigger than that.
Now that was the initial getting ready work.
Now for making the backup, when you have downloaded a new item and it is in your launcher’s download folder you need to do the following:
v Mark 1 of your new items and click on the button “show files”
v A new window will appear
Now copy all sims3pack files, those like the red circle.
v Open your newly created folder, and copy past your store items to 1 of the sub folders.
You have to do this from the download part of the launcher, so don’t delete the items until you have made a backup. After making a backup just delete the items to help the launcher work better.
Now if you want to be sure how much there is in your sub folders you hover over them to see how big they are.
You see this fold on my pc have 172 MB, so there is still room but not much.
When takeing the pictures, I just learned the 200-300 MB thing myself, so I just started making the subfolders.
I hope this helped.

// Whats the difference between non-default and default skins?
A default skin completely replaces the EA skin, so you can't choose it in the skintone panel.
A non-default skin is something you can choose and doesn't completely replace the EA skin.
A better worded response from someone on the forums; "Default replaces the ones that are originally in the game, whereas non-default ones are separate ones, you can choose whether you want to use them or not."
// I have been unable to install any of the items I bought. I go through the motions of installing the packs as usual, the window pops up saying the items were successfully installed. They even show up on the loader, in the "installed content" tab. When i enter the game, the items are no where to be found.
-I installed my Store Content but it's not showing up in my game
Unfortunatly, the Launcher is a very unreliable tool. The more stuff you have, the greater the chance that files which have your stuff installed get messed up. If that starts happening to you. It's best ro reinstall all Store content, using this method:
    Close your game and launcher
Go to documents\electronicarts\thesims3 and move the folder DCCache to your desktop (this is ALL your custom content, so if you have 3rd party content as well, you might wanna just move the *.ebc files as well as the missingdeps.idx)
If you have any worlds installed go to the installedWorlds folder and delete all Store worlds from there.
Go to the DCBackup folder and delete everything in there. {{{Someone else said: Don't delete ccmerge.package. Delete that one, and you are screwed.}}} You don't really need the stuff in here except for the ccmerged file but since you're reinstalling everything, it will be recreated.
Open the launcher and start reinstalling all store stuff in groups. Don't install all in one go. Start with the worlds, then lots, then sets and single items last.
When you're done, backup the DCCache folder. If the same starts happening again, go back to that backup so you don't need to start over. Make a backup from time to time, especially after you've installed worlds and lots. ;
Diiferent Instructions:
This issue has been around for a while. I will do the best I can to explain a fix for it however I have heard people say it causes problems with custom content. Since I don't use CC I have never had a problem.
First make a backup of your save games. You will have to manualy remove a bunch of files and let the game rebuild everything and any downloaded world files will loose the saves if you don't. I recomend making a backup of the files in a new folder on your desktop for easy access. If you have custom content or mods you might want to remove it before doing this procedure then reinstall it when you finish.
In order to reset everything the first step is going into the launcher in the installed content area. Select everything then click uninstall. (This will remove any properly installed items that are not getting a file corruption.) Then close the launcher.
Next go to:
C:\Users\(your User Name)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3
Delete thses 4 cache files. They will rebuild when the game restarts.
CASPartCache.package
compositorCache.package
scriptCache.package
simCompositorCache.package
socialCache.package (Note: You can delete this cache file as well "if" you have the Showtime EP installed.)
Next fine the folder called DCCache This is where the game installs part of your downloads and seems to be where the files become corrupted.
Backup any files in this folder for to be safe then delete them from the folder
Next locate the folder InstalledWorlds and again backup and files still there then delete the original files. (This is where any downloaded worlds you have installed would go.)
Next find the folder Thumbnails. This is all the small icons for cas, build mode, etc. Again backup your files then delete the original files.
Now you should be able to start the launcher and the downloads button should allow you to install everything. After everything is installed you should be able to restore your save games and everything should work. You should also be able to verify everything installed looking on the installed button on the launcher.
If you want to refrence my original posts you can also find them below. Some things might have changed from the original or others might have posted additional fixes.

// What are rabbit hole rugs:
Rabbithole rugs look like ordinary rugs but are modded to work like a rabbithole building. They enable you to make a building of your own choice of design rather than EA's defaults, and which is not just an empty shell but can have other purposes as well. To use one, you put it on a community lot and sims will treat it as a rabbithole building and disappear into the rug the same way they disappear into the rabbithole buildings. For instance, if you place a 'Diner' rabbithole rug and send a sim there to eat, or to work as a cook, they will go to the rug and disappear, and you'll get the progress bar coming up onscreen showing their progress in there the same as you would with the diner rabbithole building, and then they will re-appear again on the rug when they are finished.
// Penis installation for KW
Installation instructions - simple
To make this mod work, install ONE of each of the following:
PenisMesh Map1 OR PenisMesh Map2 - the only difference is where on the sim's skin the penis skin is located. Each has separate packages for teen, adult/YA, and elder - you don't have to install all of them if you don't want to.
PenisSlidersHidden OR PenisSlidersCAS -the only difference is whether the sliders show up in CAS. Again, you don't have to install all of the sliders in the download if you don't want to. If you don't want the penis to morph at all, don't install any of them.
(No: -N) ONE of the MorphingPenisScripts, depending on your game patch version - if you don't want the in-game penis options on male sims, don't install this.  <<from KW requirement: CmarNYC Penis Mesh & Sliders (Scripts not required)>>

Deleting the files related to the Dynamic Challenge doesn't do any harm to your game. They are safe to delete and won't regenerate.
They are achievements badges, just like Brappl mentioned up above.

Installing Sims 3 Package Files: Setup & Files
Warning.gif
TS3 Monkey icon.png
Read before proceeding!
If you have ever had your custom content in Program Files (either manually or using the Helper Monkey/Monkey Bars), you must uninstall Monkey Bars/Helper Monkey, and remove the old framework files from Program Files path first! If you don't, some of your custom content may not work!
You must also get updates from the creator(s) for any hacks/mods before putting them in the Documents path shown below.
For full instructions on switching over from the old way to the new way, see: Installing Sims 3 Package Files: Old Way to the New Way. Do this first, then come back here for instructions on installing to Documents.
Warning.gif Also make sure you have read TS3 CC Basics so you know how to extract from rar/zip/7z files and how to identify file types before continuing with this page.
Setup Folders & Files
Before you can put the .package files in your game, you'll need to set up your game to accept custom content. From patch 1.12 and up, this is very easy!

1.The Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\ folder - note the contents are folders like DCBackup, DCCache, InstalledWorlds, Saves, etc. (click the image for full size)
Go to The Sims 3 Folder in My Documents: NOT in Program Files!
    Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The
Sims 3\
    Windows Vista/7: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\
    Mac OS: /Users/<username>/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/
2. Download the ready-made FrameworkSetup.zip This file contains everything you need to set up your game for custom content. Right-click on the download link below and choose "Save link as." Save it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\ folder (the same folder you just opened).

3.The Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\ folder with the new folder, called "Mods" highlighted.
Extract the framework: Right-click on the FrameworkSetup.zip file and choose Extract Here (You will get this option if you have properly installed 7-Zip as advised in the TS3 CC Basics FAQ). A new folder will appear, called "Mods". Double-click on it to open the "Mods" folder.
4.

Inside the Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods folder
Check Mods Folder: Your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\ folder should look like the picture, with three items inside... two folders, one called "Overrides" and one called "Packages" and one file called Resource.cfg. Double-click on the folder called "Packages" to open it.
5.

Inside the Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Packages folder
Check Packages Folder: Your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder should have two files inside it: NoBuildSparkles.package, and nointro.package
RightArrow.gifNote: The picture shows them with a little green plumbbob icon, and "Sims3 Package" under Type. It's okay if your icon looks like a Sims 2 package icon, a monkey, a white sheet of paper, or anything else, and the type may say "PACKAGE" or something else. Icon and exactly what it says for "type" are irrelevant as far as working in the game is concerned - what matters is that it ends with .package.
6. Everything okay? Do your folders look as they should in step 4 and step 5, with all the right
files/folders in place?
    Yes! Good! Proceed.
No! You must have done something wrong. Delete the Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods folder and start try again from step 1.
Test!
Now if you run the game, your .package files should be fully working in-game! You already have two package files installed, so you can tell right away whether things are working properly.
nointro.package: The No Intro will eliminate the EA Intro video before the game starts loading, which makes it very quick and easy to see if things are setup properly. If the plumbob animation and intro videos no longer play (you go straight to the loading screen), then you know your .package file content is working!
NoBuildSparkles.package: Nobuildsparkles will show that your custom content is actually working in-game. Go into build mode and build a wall, or a room. If no sparkles appear, then other package format content should work as well!
Both of these files work for any patch level and any/all expansions/stuff packs.
If you still get the intro movie and build sparkles showing when you test in-game, you must have done something wrong. Delete the My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\ folder and try again from Step 1 of "Setup Folders and Files" above. It will work this way if done properly!
Placing Package Files
Now that you know that package files are working right in your game, you can start downloading custom content yourself!
Of course, you'll need to have read about any special instructions or compatability (make sure everything you get works with your patch level and expansion/stuff packs!), download the files, and extract them from their archives. All of that is explained in detail on: TS3 CC Basics - go there and read about it if you don't know how to do that!
Then, you just put any .package files you've extracted into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages\ folder - that's the same place as the NoBuildSparkles.package and nointro.package files are. You can cut and paste them into the folder - just move them from whereever you extracted them, or extract them straight into that folder.
You can, of course, delete the NoBuildSparkles.package and nointro.package mods if you want your intro/build sparkles back - they were just there to show you where to put the files, and to verify that packages are working in your game.

Bringing Dead Sims Back to Life
It might be hard to believe, but there are some people out there who are so obsessed with The Sims that they may even become attached to any Sims that they've created or played with—I can say that I am one of these people.
Unfortunately, death comes for every Sim eventually (unless you've disabled aging or are using another method to keep them alive), but not all of us are ready to part with our favorite walking and talking collection of pixels and coding. Thankfully, it's possible to resurrect deceased Sims to continue having fun!
There are two ways that you can go about bringing back your dead Sim: either by an opportunity given by the science facility or through the consumption of Ambrosia. This article will include more information about both methods, as well as give you some tips on avoiding or warding off death.
TheMagician
Method 1: Science Facility Opportunity
For this method, you'll need a Sim who has recently died. Soon after (usually a few hours to a couple of days), you should receive an opportunity from the science facility asking if you'd be interested in an experimental procedure to bring your loved one back to life. It's required that you have the Sim's urn in your inventory when you do this. Without the urn, you cannot bring the dead Sim back to life.
This is the easiest method of the two, but it has a serious downfall—the Sim brought back from the dead will not be completely alive, and will instead be a ghost.
For many players, this is exactly what they want. However, not all of us are content with our Sims being ghosts and would rather them be completely alive once again. This is where the second method comes in handy.
Note that the opportunity, Oh My Ghost!, will present itself only if the Sim had a close relationship with the deceased Sim. This is necessary!
The science facility in Sunset Valley
The science facility in Sunset Valley
TheMagician
Don't Do It!
Many players make the huge mistake of waiting for a ghost Sim to show up and then delete their tombstone or urn—whatever you do, don't do this! Not only will the ghost Sim be unable to return back to its grave and will be stuck roaming the lot forever, but it also cannot be playable or brought back to life, even with the consumption of ambrosia.
Method 2: Consuming Ambrosia
The ambrosia dish in The Sims 3 has amazing powers that can restore a Sim's age to the beginning of its period and even bring ghost Sim's back to (normal) life. If you don't know how to make ambrosia, you can learn to do so here with this guide.
When you're done making the dish, wait until the ghost that you'd like to bring back to life shows up, and then put it somewhere near them—even at their feet is a good place, since ghosts usually seem to know what the dish is and what they should do with it. Once the ghost consumes the ambrosia, they'll be brought back to life! If they were part of your family at the time of death, they will rejoin the family, but if they were another NPC throughout the town, then they'll just go "home," wherever that may be.
Ways to Avoid Death
Besides waiting for Sims to die to bring them back to life, there are also quite a few ways to keep from succumbing to death. Here are all the known ways to keep your Sim alive and well!
Lifetime Rewards
There are some Lifetime Rewards that can be of great use to the longevity of your Sim's life. There's the Young Again potion, which allows a Sim to drink and will revert them back to the beginning of their Young Adult life stage, and the Age Freeze potion, which allows a Sim to completely freeze their age when consumed. Besides these two, there are also other rewards that can be helpful in keeping your home from ever catching on fire (keep your Sim safe from fires) and more.
A Sim tending to his life fruit plant
A Sim tending to his life fruit plant
TheMagician
Life Fruit
Life fruit is a necessary ingredient in ambrosia, but it can also be just as useful when consumed alone. Eating a life fruit will give your Sim an extra day of life, and you can consume as many as you'd like (although getting fat is obviously a risk).
You can grow life fruit plants at level 7 gardening with the use of Special Seeds, which can be found around the town. Use the Collection Helper lifetime reward to help you find them.
Death Flower
At level 7 gardening while planting Special Seeds, you also have a possibility of coming across and growing a death flower plant. Having a death flower in your inventory will keep you safe from death—when the Grim Reaper comes for you, you will present the flower to him, which he will take and allow you to live once again.
You can find a harvestable death flower plant in the graveyard in Sunset Valley. Once you pick the flower, the plant dies, so keep that in mind.
Chess Playing
If a Sim dies and the Grim Reaper comes, another Sim on the lot with the Genius trait has the option to "Play Chess for [SIMS NAME]'s Life" when you click on the chess table.
// Can't login to the Sims 3 launcher [Fixed!]:
Good News!   I was going to try these instructions which I'd mostly already done before but hoped it might work:
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/Launcher-won-t-work-TS3-exe-won-t-work-either-launching-through/td-p/29130
But anyway I went ahead and changed the location of my game from
G:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games     to
G:\Games\Origin Games
I also just remembered that I used a "vanilla" backup copy of my un-modded game folder when I did this move so that could have played a part, though I doubt it.
And that seems to have finally fixed the problem. I was able to sign into the launcher for awhile at first then it stopped working after putting Origin into offline mode for a few minutes. And now it's finally fixed with a solution I didn't read anywhere on the many forum threads I read on this issue. Finally!  ^_^
I had changed my password earlier but that didn't help. I don't think that played a part in this solution but if someone is having this issue could it really hurt to do?
// Removing Admin Rights shield from any (eg. game) shortcuts on desktop:
My exclusive solution is to use free nircmd.exe command-line utility to call the target application.
Get nircmd.exe from http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/nircmd.html and copy it into your C:\Windows folder.
Open property dialog for the shortcut you want to get rid of shield symbol. Click 'Change icon..' and confirm with 'OK' right away without any changes (just do this step!)
Add 'nircmd elevate ' at begin of the target application path.
For example:
nircmd elevate "C:\Program Files (x86)\Photoshop CS6\photoshop.exe"
Confirm with 'OK'. The shield symbol is gone. The admin privileges will remain for the target application due to 'nircmd elevate' command.
Download nircmd.exe from here

//  Simple way to change all vampires back to humans (using mods):
So I got Late Night, and I know i'm not the only one who finds the vampires just frickin' annoying. I wanted to change them to humans as opposed to delete them.
This was something that I struggled with at first, and searched loads of forums to find and I couldn't really find a simple way of doing it, but I did some experimenting and I eventually found a really simple way to do it.
This way requires Mods, specifically NRaas Mastercontroller + MastercontrollerCheats, heres the link:
http://nraas.wikispaces.com/MasterController
So once you have these, all you have to do is click on any computer, click NRaas/Sim/Advanced/Edit in CAS/Occult Type/Vampire/Highlight all the vampires and then go to CAS, where in the 'Basics' page you will see a glowing box with several species, change it to Human and then just exit that CAS and it will continue to enter into CAS for all the vampires you highlighted.
Then I would suggest you go to EA options and disable the vampire option (I think its in demographics) so that no more come to your town.
If you ever wanna check if some vampires have spawned you can either do the same method, or you can click on a computer, click Nraas/demographics/population/occult type. And it will tell you if there are any vampires in your town.
It sounds way more complicated then it is haha, but I found this the quickest way!

// How do you start a garden? in Sims 3
ur plants only change at 5:00 in the morning. all the rest of the time u dont have to check em.
You can plant any fruit, veg, or collected seed in the ground anywhere on your home lot. Mousing over it will give you the status of the plant. Using the command "tend garden" on one of your plants automatically weeds, waters, and harvests all the plants on your lot, one by one (you only need to issue this command once; a big time-saver).
You can also buy a sprinkler to help you water your plants and, with enough handiness skill, you can upgrade the sprinkler to "auto-water", which will eliminate the need to water the plants yourself.
Lastly, it seems as though, no matter how well you take care of a plant, it will eventually die after a certain number of harvests.
You click on a Seed or Fruit in your inventory and select plant or plant many.
Then you place the baby plant just like any other object in the game. (It needs watering immediately) Neonivek (Expert) - 11 years ago 2   1
You find seed laying all around town, the town square has quite a few, also if you read a book about gardening or attend a lesson on gardening you will be given some seed, they will be in your inventory, the seed look like the fruit/veggie that they are unless they are an uncommon seed or a rare seed, you click on the seed and choose plant or plant many depending on how many seeds you have then click a space on your lawn and plant them, then all thats left is to tend the garden ? If you can't find the seed you want to plant, you can buy a lot of fruit and veg at the store to plant. you can also harvest from another sims garden and plant in yours. Use lobster to fert with as it has a great boost to it. kevburt - 11 years ago 0   0
There are no more square plots for gardening. As long as a wall has not been put around a plot of land, you can plant on it. This does mean there are no greenhouses in the base game and you cannot plant indoors.
// My sims are always out of condoms:
A. Your Sim can order condoms online via the computer or your Sim can grab a box or two from the Grocery Store.
// Where do I buy doors in The Sims 3?
Go to build mode, A blue script of a house should come up. Click on the door and choose between a lot of doors:)
// plumbots vs simbots:  plumbots can have trait chips and have a robot quality rating (0-10).
Plumbots can get in hottubs simbots can't. Simbots will short circuit in a hottub and plumbots won't. Also simbots will flirt with your sims on thier own. Plumbots won't unless they have the chip to be romantic. I don't like simbots flirting with my sims. With the chip you no longer have to worry about autonomous flirting atleast with plumbots. Don't want them to flirt with your sim don't give them the romantic chip or remove it. ;
// how do I remove a wall??
You have to use the sledgehammer tool. ; In Build Mode (hotkey: F3) If you use the same tool that you use to build them, but hold control key down while dragging, it removes the walls you drag over. You access this tool by selecting build mode and then clicking on the wall of the cutaway picture of a house. There's also a hammer icon (hotkey: K) in build mode that can be used to destroy them.
// What's the Best Way to Earn Money?
Gardening, hands down. Gardening itself can make lots of money, selling Perfect Limes, Garlics, Bell Peppers, etc... can net a very hefty profit. But it gets really interesting when you get a Money Tree that gives money every few days, and also, the Omni Plant, which will duplicate whatever you feed it. Feed it the Fishing Book that teaches you how to bait for Deathfish, and sell those books for basically unlimited amounts of money. On top of that, once you can make Ambrosia (get a +75 moodlet for 7 days) and Angel Food Cake (gives +15 moodlet for 8 hours?), you should never had mood problems ever again. The Omni Plant is hard to get, but the money you will make from Gardening, and little bits of profit from fishing (to fertilize your garden with), obtaining this goal shouldnt be too bad. ; A Job, Collecting something, gardening, writing novels, fishing, painting, stealing and selling stuff, buying lots, or something else: what is the best way to make money? Not just lots of money, but also a steady amount of money ie: Give a Sim a laptop and a Moodlet manager they can basically write Stephen King forever with very little supervision; but is that the best way to earn money? ; I've found a combination of writing and gardening to be the best. ; Just become a partner with every lot. This is a very good and steady income that passes to your kids ;  Yeah just become partners. And..writing is pretty good, you don't have do really do much yourself. Gardening is very time consuming and you always have to check if its ready to harvest etc. Whereas writing is more lax. Fishing is ok, takes ages to get to a skill level high enough to make serious money tho. ; to answer the question become an astronaut so you work 1 day and paint the rest. ; ur plants only change at 5:00 in the morning. all the rest of the time u dont have to check em.
The usual way to earn Simoleons is to find a job- look in the paper or on the computer to begin earning. But what if a job just isn’t enough? What if children prevent parents from going to work? What if working just isn’t your Sims’ thing? When that happens, it’s time to look for other ways to get the money you need. ;
To become an artist, all that is needed is an easel. This is a good job because it raises the Sim's Fun meter, and builds painting[TS3] skill while painting. Once a painting is completed, it can be sold. In The Sims, what paintings sell for is strictly related to the creativity skill of the painter; a painting done by a Sim with maxed creativity will sell for §166. In The Sims 3, what paintings sell for is somewhat variable, but a skilled painter can regularly receive upwards of §350 for a single painting. The Sims 3 also allow completed paintings to be picked up and hung on the wall. If the painting is hung on the wall for a long time, it often goes up in value, and therefore can be sold for more money. ; Writing can easly be the career of your household breadwinner. It is, in fact, one of the easies ways to make money in The Sims 3. All that you need to get started writing books in the Sims 3 is a computer. It doesn't even have to belong to your Sim, as you could use the computer at the public library.

You stop pregnancy by wearing condoms. In the case of the sims, it is by not selecting Try For Baby. ; Master Controller has the "End Pregnancy" option as I use that. ; Once the baby is born, enter the cheat "testingcheatsenabled true" without the quotes, then shift+click on the baby to delete it! Easy! ; That seems so cold. // Converting Adult Clothing Into Teen?  (I haven't tried this. -N)
https://modthesims.info/t/455242
Here's a discussion of converting store clothing from adult to teen - same process except for extracting the files: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=452193
Very briefly, using CTU and Milkshape the process would be:
Extract the meshes with CTU Also extract some teen meshes for reference - the head/face mesh, a top, a bottom, and shoes
In Milkshape, fix the neck, waist, and ankles (whichever apply to the mesh you're converting) so they match to the teen meshes
Import the converted meshes into CTU, enable the clothing for teens and disable for adults, and save as a new package
You may have to also fix the morphs - according to Bloom the fat morph always needs fixing. You'd have to import the adult fat morph over the converted mesh, fix it, export it, and use MorphMaker to make a new replacement morph
Edit: Forgot to mention you have to fix the mesh comments in Milkshape to (at a minimum) use a teen skeleton. IMO you can copy the comments from a similar teen clothing but Bloom would know more. ;
The base meshes from the teen and adult are almost identical, exept for the breast size.
The morphs(when using the sliders) are indeed a bit diffrent, those you need to update(unless its for private use and you dont care )
You do need to update the neck/waist and ankles on both base mesh and morphs!
Never heard of a mismatch on the hands/fingers.
Both Adult and Teen meshes animate identical ingame, in TSRW and in Milkshape, no idea wat Elexis means.
You could use this tutorial were i converted a adult male outfit to child size:
http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=392850
If you are a beginner you might be better of using TSRW instead of CTU
; I dont know what version you using but with TSRW(2.015) its even more simple.
1/ You can clone a adult outfit and tick the teen category, then untick the young adult and adult category, thats it......
2/ You can also start with cloning a teen outfit and load the adult meshes in it.
The only diffrence between the 2 is that the hand position is a bit diffrent on the fatstate.
I included the 2 tests i did.
The first(teentest) is the teen Tight_halter outfit but with the adult meshes in it.
The second is the adult SuperSpyOutfit set (ticked) as teen and unticked as adult.
Oh, If you are going to convert adult to teen you also need to fix the normals on atleast the neck seam!!
// My sim when taking a bath (or I guess getting naked) has her hair revert to something vanilla:  [take your sim back into CAS while naked to change the hair, AND eyebrows]
Just go into CAS while naked and set the hair. For 'reasons' the Sims 3 likes to use different hair for the naked and career outfits.
Create a Sim: Choose hair: Naked and Career ignore this change even with 'set hair for ALL outfits' selected.
>BUT - if you have use this hair for all outfits 'on', and choose a different hair while in either naked or career - then it works.....
Unless KW has had a change made in later builds, this is also a problem with school outfits (sort of). When a player creates a school uniform - what ever hair a student is using at the time they are assigned a KW uniform will be applied. If you change that student's hair afterwards, when they change into the uniform - the hair reverts to what was being used when the uniform was 'created'.
// Midnight Hollow vs Moonlight Falls:
Midnight Hollow   25%  -  15 votes
<<actually people present strong argument for this one, with a lighting mod. -N >>
Moonlight Falls    74%   -  44 votes
Moonlight Falls was the second town I ever played in (after Sunset Valley) and I love the whole supernatural stuff. It´s a beautiful town. Midnight Hollow has just awful lighting and the surrounding hills do strange things to the camera. The houses and townies are great, I often place them in other towns. ; Moonlight Falls is more playable right from the box, but as far as the town layout I like Midnight Hollow better. I've played Midnight Hollow with the towns people but never Moonlight Falls. I always fill it with my own sims. I like to play with mainly humans and maybe one or two types of occults, and usually not that many of them. ; I just have to vote for Midnight Hollow, because when you play with a lighting mod (Midnight Lighting Mod by BrntWaffles https://brntwaffles.tumblr.com/post/62465381974/this-is-for-testing-only-its-not-the-final ), you discover a marvelous town! So many colors and great architecture! ; I love both of them. I chose Moonlight Falls in the poll, because I play there more than MH. MH has a dark and creepy beauty, and is so atmospheric. MFalls by comparison is fresh and woodsy. They're such opposites but both so lovely. ; I like Moonlight Falls, but I love Midnight Hollow. MH has beautifully detailed architecture, quirky residents, and a unique atmosphere. I’m partial to Gothic Victorian/steampunk themes and find myself playing in MH more often than in M/F. Arguably, MH’s biggest drawback is the dimness, especially when it comes to building and remodeling. However, I’ve long been in the habit of creating/editing most of my lots in a blank world which I use solely for building. Simply playing the world—with or without a lighting mod—is fine for me, although I do prefer it with one. But I was already accustomed to using lighting and other environmental mods for other worlds, so using them for MH was more about aesthetics than making it brighter for me. I like that it is gloomy! xD  Being what I would consider more of a niche world, MH doesn’t suit every Sim. But it’s ideal for my brooding poet/painter who resides in the basement of an old chapel I placed next to the cemetery. It’s also my fave town to play vampires in, and suits my other dark occults better than anywhere else (other than possibly the bayou area of Twinbrook, which I also love). My current occult household in MH consists of a dark genie-fairy who lives in a Gothic mansion and is raising a stolen vampire baby... I can’t think of a better location for them.
// what decrapping is:
In short, decrapifying is the process for removing the encryption from Sims3Pack Store content. There is no need to decrapify 3rd party custome content (or at least none that I know of). Decrapifying store content has been somewhat of a controvercial topic as it often alludes to the use of pirated store content. With that said it is perfectly acceptable as long as it is being used on content purchased from the store for your own personal use to convert Sims 3Packs to package files. Decrapifying your store content would be up to you depending upon how you prefer to manage your game content. For example to be able to use EasyCASP Editor or for blacklisting CAS items the content would need to be decrapified before you would be able to do so. I have never decrapified anything but at one point was considering it.
// MasterController - FAQ
Blacklisting
Blacklisting Manual
What is MasterController?
The mod contains interactions for managing the entire population of your town.
However, unlike other mods in my suite, there is no automated component to this mod. All changes must be performed manually by selecting the appropriate interaction. This ensures that the mod does not interfere with any aspect of the game without your explicit direction.
It is also a character from the Disney movie "Tron", from which this mod derives its name.
How do I use the mod?
Interactions will appear in the object menus as "NRaas \ Master Controller". Certain
interactions appear only on certain types of objects. "Demographics" for instance only appear
when you click on the City Hall or Computer menu.
For sim related interactions, there are two distinct methods to use this mod:
From the City Hall or Computer menu. This approach will allow you select any sim in town to
run the interaction on.
You will be prompted to specify a filter to narrow the number of sims listed. Such will be
discussed later.
By clicking on the Sim itself. This approach automatically runs the interaction on that sim.
Note that certain interactions are only available under certain circumstances. For instance
"Baby Gender" is only available if the sim is pregnant.
Settings for the mod are listed under "NRaas \ Master Controller \ Settings". Further
information regarding them is available here: MasterController Interactions.
How do I filter the list of sims returned by the mod?
First thing: If you want a full list of all the live sims in your town, and avoid the filtering entirely,
simply click the "X" (Cancel) on the filter window.
You are allowed to select multiple filters to narrow the selection of sims returned.
For instance, if you want a list of all the teenaged females in town, use a filter of "Age" and
"Gender: Female" together. After you press the Accept button, you will be prompted to choose
the age-group to use.
Note: If you want a list containing the buried dead sims in your town, you must include "Type of
Sim" - "Dead" in your filter selection.
I would like to have certain interactions appear under the "NRaas" menu directly, how do I do
that?
MasterController has a deep menu, with many interactions requiring several levels of clicking to
reach.
To simplify access to interactions that you may use on a regular basis, there is a "Hot Keys"
setting available.
To set up this functionality:
"NRaas \ Master Controller \ Settings \ Hot Keys"
You will be prompted with a list of all the interactions available in the mod.
The entries with a "True" next to them are already set as hot keys
Click on the interactions you wish and press the Accept to toggle their hotkey status
Note you can travel into the deeper menus by selecting the entry and pressing the Accept.
The listing window will switch to displaying that level of interactions instead.
After this, any interactions you selected will appear directly under the "NRaas" menu.
The choices you make are specific to the town-file you are currently playing. However "Export
Settings" and "import Settings" will retain any hotkeys you specify.
I want to change the family tree relationship between two sims, how do I do that?
You will want to use MasterController Cheats' "NRaas \ Master Controller \ Advanced \ Family"
series of interactions.
In that menu, you will find interactions for adding or removing parents, children, and siblings.
Note: You cannot explicitly define extended relationships, such as grandparent or aunt/uncle.
You will need to create a sim between the two relations in order to link them together.
There are multiple interactions available:
    "Add Parent" and "Remove Parent"
When used on a sim, you can alter the natural parent for the sim
    "Add Child" and "Remove Child"
Similar to altering the natural parents, except the sim you initially click on is the parent
itself, and you choose the child.
   "Add Sibling" and "Remove Sibling"
Connects two sims as siblings, if there is no parent sim available to use as a mutual parent
Note: If one of the sims has a parent, the sibling will automatically be attached to the
parent
If both sims have different parents, it may not be possible to attach them using this
interaction
What determines whether an Opportunity appears in the listing provided by "Opportunity"
interaction?
Each opportunity in the game has a specific set of requirements for which a sim must satisfy.
This ensures that you cannot choose higher opportunities until you have achieved the lower
ones first.
Skill opportunities, for instance, require that your sim has a certain level in that skill before
they can spawn.
This mod will only list opportunities whose requirements are satisfied by your sim.
This may result in the list of opportunities being different sizes based on the sim you have
selected.
Note that some opportunities also require that certain prerequisites be available in the town
you are currently playing.
Some opportunities will only spawn in World Adventure vacation worlds.
Some opportunities, such as Late Night band gigs are only available if you have certain lot
venues in your town.
Be aware that the EA "Opportunity" interactions provided through DebugEnabler will display all
opportunities.
However, those interactions will attempt to force your sim to match the requirements of the
opportunity.
This may lead to your sim inadvertently receiving unwanted skills
What does the "Type" column mean in the "Opportunity" interaction?
The following choices are available when viewing a list of opportunities:
    True
This means you have already successfully completed the opportunity once.
Note that if you do choose to redo the opportunity, the completion status is cleared. This
means that you must successfully complete the opportunity or you will not be able to perform
the next opportunity in the chain.
   Repeatable
These opportunities can be performed multiple times.
You have not yet completed the opportunity for the family you have chosen.
Opportunity History is stored for the household, not the individual sim. Meaning normally you
can only ever complete any particular non-repeatable opportunity once per family.
If you wish to redo opportunities without the use of mods, you can do so by splitting your
family into two households and then play the new household instead.
Note that this approach only works if you have more than one sim in the family, since moving
the entire family simply transfers the opportunity history as well.
How do I get rid of all the Vampires in my town?
To remove the "Vampire" occult status from all sims in town, follow these steps:
    Install MasterController Cheats
Click on the City Hall rabbithole (you can do so from Map View by clicking on the map tag)
Navigate the menu: "NRaas \ Master Controller \ Sim \ Intermediate \ Occult"
Choose whatever criteria you wish to use for filtering the sims in town (pressing the Cancel
will choose everyone in town)
Select "None" from the listing of occult choices
When prompted to apply the change to all sims, press Accept
Note that if you are using EA Story Progression, that process will add new vampires to your
town. You must either:
    Disable that system
Use a tuning mod that disables EA Story Progression vampire immigration. Modders that host
such mods can be located via the External Links
Install StoryProgression. It's handling of vampires can be reviewed here: StoryProgression FAQ
Vampires
What do the numbers in Gender Preference mean?
The "NRaas \ Master Controller \ Sim \ Intermediate \ Gender Preference" option in
MasterController Cheats gives you the ability to directly manipulate the raw values used for
determining autonomous gender preference for a sim.
A Positive number means that the sim is able to autonomously engage in romantic standing
social interactions with a member of that gender.
A Negative number means the sim is disallowed from autonomously engaging in romantic
standing social interactions with that gender.
You can enter a positive value into both gender preferences, and make the sim autonomous
towards both genders.
You can also enter a negative value into both preferences, making the sim averse to romantic
interactions altogether.
Whenever a sim engages in a user-directed romantic interaction, their preference is altered
accordingly:
The preference towards the target sim's gender is increased by "2"
The preference towards the opposite gender is decreased by "1"
The size of the number itself is irrelevant in calculations:
For instance: Having a value of "-1" is the same as "-1000" when determining autonomous
action.
Entering a large value into the preference simply ensures that any future user-directed
interactions do not sway the sim's preference off of what you set manually.
Note that large numbers are especially important when dealing with Bisexual sims. You
should set both preferences to large five or six figure positive numbers to ensure that both
values remain positive for the life of the sim.
Large negative numbers are equally as important when dealing with Asexual sims. You
should set both preferences to large five or six figure negative numbers to ensure that both
values remain negative for the life of the sim.
By default, newly created sims do not have a gender preference. They are set to "0" for both
entries.
StoryProgression will automatically alter the gender preference of any "undecided" sim, as
per the "NRaas \ Story Progression \ General Options \ Options: Flirt \ Chance of Gay Sim"
option.
Note that under EA Standard, gender preference is only set:
By the story progression system, when two undecided sims are chosen to be coupled
When the user performs a user-directed romantic interaction
Because of this, sims can remain undecided for the entirety of their lifespan.
EA does not export the gender preference of sims when they travel or are saved to the Library.
Traveler will retain gender preferences of travelling sims during town transitions
You will need to manually set the preferences of sims imported from the Library.
What does "Export Genealogy" do?
"Export Genealogy" reads the family tree information contained within your town, and creates
a GEDCOM formatted file that can be loaded into a third-party family tree application.
The operation does *not* change the family tree contained in your game.
The GEDCOM file will appear in your "My Documents \ EA \ The Sims 3" folder as a "ScriptError"
file. Simply rename the extension of the file from "XML" to "GEDCOM" (or "ged"), and open the
file using you favourite family tree program.
A free web-based GEDCOM reader is available here: http://www.familyecho.com/
Where is the interaction I am looking for?
MasterController is composed of multiple components. The base-mod contains the modified
CAS and various basic commands for filtering and viewing information on your sims, while the
optional expansion modules provided more advanced functionality.
If you are looking for an "Intermediate" or "Advanced" interaction and are unable to locate it in
the listing, most likely you do not have the Cheats module installed.
You will find a link to that download here: MasterController Cheats
I used one of the Export interactions, what did it do?
The "NRaas \ Master Controller \ Demographics: Export" and "NRaas \ Master Controller \ Sim \
Export" interactions create script log files in your "My Documents \ EA \ Sims 3" folder by the name of "ScriptError". This is the only means EA has provided to export data out of the game, so do not be overly concerned about the name of the file itself.
If you wish to view the contents, change the extension on the file from XML to TXT, and load
the file in NotePad, or equivalent text file editing application.
Where did the option (Instant Baby / Add Trait / etc.) disappear to?
Starting with Phase Six, the MasterController has been split into the main mod and an extra
Cheats module.
All interactions designated by the Module: Cheats notation in the base-mod MasterController
Interactions now require you to have this module installed as well.
When using "Objects Stats" what do the various filters mean?
    Family
Objects in Family Inventory assigned to a Household
This filter includes objects stored in the Shared Fridge inventory used by all fridges on a lot
    Global
Objects that are not actually in-game at the moment. These objects have no physical
location on the map but are still being simulated by the system.
This includes objects in inventory or objects that were removed from the game
environment but not deleted properly
    Inventory
        Objects in an inventory container
    Not In Inventory
Objects not in an inventory container
    Local
Objects that exist in the game environment somewhere.
This includes objects in inventories assigned to containers that are in-game
    Sim
Objects assigned to sims, normally in their inventory
This filter also includes the physical representation of the sim itself
I want to change a sim's Celebrity Level or remove their Celebrity status entirely. How do I do
that?
You will need MasterController Cheats installed to access that interaction.
Once installed the setting can be accessed under "NRaas \ Master Controller \ Intermediate \
Celebrity Level" from the Sim Menu.
This can be set to "0" to remove celebrity status.
If you wish to remove the Celebrity Status from any number of sims simultaneously
Click on the City Hall, and navigate the menu "NRaas \ Master Controller \ Sim \ Intermediate
\ Celebrity Level"
Filter by the type of sims you wish to change (or press Cancel to select all live sims in town)
When prompted, enter "0", and then apply the change to all sims.
I want to reset a sim's Age to the beginning of their current Age-stage. How do I do that?
You will need MasterController Cheats installed to access that interaction.
Once installed the setting can be accessed under "NRaas \ Master Controller \ Intermediate \
Age" from the Sim Menu.
Set this to the number of days that passed since beginning the current age-stage.
I want to change my sim's Lifetime Want, how do I do that?
Install MasterController Cheats and use the "Intermediate \ Lifetime Wish" interaction.
You can use this interaction even if your sim has already completed their current lifetime wish,
allowing you to start a new one.
Changing the wish automatically resets the "I am completed" flag, so if you want to redo your
current wish you can.
If your sim satisfies the requirements of the wish you select, they will automatically complete
it and receive the points.
What does 'Reset Everything' on the Town menu do?
This command rebuilds all sims, objects, and lots from the ground up based on the information
that the game has on them at the time. It is somewhat intrusive to gameplay and can take more
than a few minutes to run depending on how large (how many sims and objects) a world has in
it. This command is intended to clear recurring error conditions, help solve gameplay issues, and
can help prevent ongoing game save corruption if run every few sim weeks or so.
It does not start anything over or change anything about where sims are in their lives or their
progression.
What does Total Annihilation do?
Total Annihilation does exactly what it sounds like: It is a permanent elimination of a sim and all
the data associated with it. It does not kill them, thus leaving a dead sim behind, its intent is to
arrange things so it's as if the sim never existed in the first place.
Note: Even though this method is much better than simply deleting a sim's urnstone, or
sending them "clipboard diving" in Edit Town, "Total Annihilation" is not a perfect system.
You will require the use of ErrorTrap to ensure that all reference to the annihilated sim have
been purged from your save-file
There are two "Total Annihilation" interactions in MasterController
    "Town \ Total Annihilation"
This interaction prompts you to choose a "Type of Sim" filter and will eliminate all sims that
match that criteria
Note that members of the active family are never deleted by this process
"Sim \ Advanced \ Total Annihilation"
This interaction works in the same way as other Sim interactions, allowing you filter by any
number of criteria
Both interactions actually perform the same process in the end:
The sim's genealogy is expunged, and all relatives are detached
All mini-sim (foreign sim) relationships are deleted
If the sim is part of a service, they are removed from that system
The sim is detached from the NPC Driver manager
The sim is removed from their household
Any memories for that sim are purged
All regular sim long-term relationships are eliminated
The sim is removed from any Service Pet pool they may be assigned to.
    The sim's career is ended
The sim's steady/married partner link is dropped
If the sim is not yet dead, the sim is killed via the EA death process (which may produce a
story notice), and an urnstone is created
The sim's urnstone is deleted from the game
The sim is expunged from the EA service cleanup system.
The sim itself is deleted, which compresses it into a mini-sim.
Finally, any remaining mini-sim is removed from the game.
This process should eliminate all trace of the sim from the game.
So don't use it if you want some part of the sim to be retained.
If you want to retain the sim in the family tree or have the possibility of returning them to the
game at some point, use "Sim \ Advanced \ Force Kill" instead.
How do I change to another household without going to the Edit Town menu?
You can use the MasterController to make another household active by clicking anywhere on
the household's home and use the "Make Active" or "Make Active (Dream Catcher)"
interaction.
You can also directly switch to another Sim by clicking that Sim and use the "Make Active" or
"Make Active (Dream Catcher)" interaction.
"Dream Catcher" appears depends on the global setting "Retain Dreams and Opportunities": If
set to True, the dreams (wishes) and opportunities for the newly inactive households are not
dropped when you switch.
More information regarding dream retention is available here: Dreamer FAQ
Other mods in the suite that allow fast switching are listed in the above link as well.
What does the "Autonomous Same Sex" entry mean in "Kinsey Scale"?
A little background first:
By default, EA Standard has all sims created as having no gender preference
This means that the game can choose to push them into either a straight or gay
relationship
By default, autonomous gay relationships are turned off in the EA Standard game.
This stops gay sims from randomly appearing around town without the user's knowledge
Under EA Standard, to enable autonomous same-sex relationships, the user must manually
push a certain number of gay romantic interactions using the active sim.
After doing so, the ability for inactive sims to autonomously engage in same-sex romantic
interactions is unlocked.
Tuning default : "SimDescription" is set to "6"
The flag displays whether the autonomous ability has been enabled in your game.
Certain mods such as StoryProgression will automatically unlock that capability if you have the
"Chance of Gay Sim" or "Chance of Bisexual Sim" set greater than "0"
This ensures that if the mod creates a gay sim that they are able to act on their gender
preference.
What does "Open" and "Close" do ?
The "Open" interaction available via the Lot Menu allows you to view the interior contents of a
lot. It does this by doing the following:
If the lot is a residence, the interaction sets your sim as "greeted" for that lot.
This process is the same as if you had knocked on the front door and been invited in by one
of the residents of the lot
Note that because your sim is now greeted on the lot, any "Visit Lot" interactions will now
be disabled. GoHere can be used to redisplay the "Visit" interactions on open lots, or you can
simply "Close" the lot manually.
If the lot is a commercial lot, the interaction uses an EA debugging command to display the
interior
To ensure that you turn off this debugging command once you are complete, the mod
tethers the camera to the lot, so you cannot move off of it
You must use "Close" to untether the camera and allow you continue playing
The process of opening lots is the same process used by HomeOpener, so you can actually use
the "Close" in this mod to close households opened by HomeOpener. The effect is temporary
though, as the mod will proceed to reopen the lots when you switch active sims.
What does "Selectability" do ?
The "Advanced \ Selectability" interaction available in MasterController Cheats gives you the
ability to set sims in the active household as being selectable or not.
A "selectable" sim is one which you can provide the plumbbob, and then actively queue
interactions.
Where-as "unselectable" sims operate under their own autonomy and queue up interactions
as they see fit.
Note that if you have the "free will" turned down on your setup, or have motives set to
"static", this may result in the unselectable sim not doing anything at all.
As an added bonus, StoryProgression is capable of progressing unselectable sims, just like it
does for inactive households.
You can turn off this functionality using the "Sims \ Progress NPCs in Active Household"
option.
Note that the mod can and will move sims out of the active household if they get married, or
build a sufficiently negative relationship with other members of the family.
You should turn off the "Sim Options \ Allow Move" option for that sim, if you do not want
this to occur.
What does "Advanced \ Skill Level" do?
When used, it is capable of increasing or decreasing the level for any skill.
If the sim does not have the skill, it will be added to them.
You can add any skill, regardless of age restrictions to any sim.
Note that species restrictions are still enforced by the mod.
The listing window displays all skills, including those marked as hidden by EA.
Hidden skills are denoted by an "H"
Note: If you enter "-1" the mod will delete the skill from your sim, including any skill challenge
statistics.
Setting the skill to "0" simply resets the skill progression, but retains any stats for the skill.
Note: If you force the game to increase "Charisma" skill, EA Standard will automatically grant
your sim sufficient friends to satisfy the level requirements.
The new "friends" are randomly chosen from the existing town population.
You may need to try setting the "Skill Level" multiple times as EA Standard may stop the process arbitrarily.
Why does Inherit Voices make some of my toddlers mute?
EA Standard provides the following number of voices:
Three voices for Teen and above: A, B, and C
Two voices for Child: A and B
    One voice for Toddler: A
When you use the "Inherit Voices" interaction:
If the sim has no parents, the mod will randomly choose between A, B, and C voice choices.
If the sim has parents, the mod will randomly choose the voice used by one of the parents.
Since Toddlers only have audio for Voice A, if the sim inherits voice B or C, they will be mute
The sim will eventually grow into their voice.
Toddlers that receive Voice B, for instance, will start talking when they age into children.
Children that receive Voice C will start talking once they age to Teenagers
Note that only a mod that rerolls a sim's voice on age-up can correct this particular side-effect.
In this suite, Extra StoryProgression contains that functionality.
How do I change the outfit for an invisible sim?
- szielins szielins provides this solution:
Click on the ground of the lot where the invisible sim is currently standing
Navigate the menu: "NRaas \ Master Controller \ Sim \ Basic \ Outfit"
You'll be presented with a list of Sims.
Select the one you're pretty sure is the invisible one. (This may require doing a process of
elimination.)
Select some reasonable outfit, such as "Everyday".
Why are the CAS interactions missing for my sim?
There are a number of conditions that disable the CAS interactions in the mod:
The sim does not have an Everyday outfit
This is usually the result of an error.
Use "Advanced \ Reset Sim" to rebuild the outfit
   The sim has no household
These are normally buried dead sims who are currently not haunting.
    The sim is a tourist/explorer
The mod does not allow changes to such, as the changes are not retained once the sim
leaves town
    The sim cannot be instantiated
Is a toddler currently in hibernation awaiting a guardian to return home
Is a child currently at boarding school
Is a parent currently on "Free Vacation"
Is a sim engaging in SimPort
    Having a Transformation moodlet
Note: To remove the moodlet from an inactive sim, simply reset the sim
        Feeling Blue
        Feeling Bluish
        Feeling Green
        Feeling Pink
        Feeling Purple
        Feeling Red
        Feeling Yellow
        Glowy On the Inside
        Zombie
        Toad
        Tragic Clown
        Werewolf
        Flight of Felicity
        Inner Beauty
How can I remove the limit for party invites?
In Master Controller's Base mod, there is an interaction under the Basic menu for throwing
either a Home or Destination Party. This interaction automatically lifts restrictions on whom
and the number of guests you can invite. Note that while you can invite sims who are total
strangers to your parties this way, that doesn't mean they will choose to attend. To extend that
interface to the phone interaction, you will need to have Master Controller's Integration
module installed as well.

MasterController CAS
Are you tired of seeing sims walking around with silly outfits and hats or wearing boots with
their swimwear? Then you might want to consider blacklisting these items, so the game can
select a CAS-part (hair, hair with accessory, make up, top, bottom, outfit, shoes, accessory) from the selection you do want a sim to wear. Of course, this doesn't help mismatching outfits but it can give you some relief from seeing sims with a bucket on their head as an everyday hair-CAS-part. This will also hide the CAS-part in your games CAS-engine.
This tutorial for blacklisting is written with Dresser in mind but all instructions can be applied to
the MasterController InvalidParts tuning. Dresser tuning files can be found at Dresser Phase Five
Tuning, MasterController tuning files at MasterController Phase Six Tuning.
Warning
Due to the vast amount of CAS-parts (EA-packs, Store Content, Custom Content) within the
game, players are unable to blacklist (hide) a large amount of these CAS-parts with an
Invalid_Tuning mod or Valid_Tuning mod (CAS-parts you would like to use).
The maximum amount of lines you can insert in this mod is approximately 30,000 (you'll need a
text editor to view the amount of lines used, preferably NotePad++). Going over this amount
will prevent the mod from loading properly and it will be unable to hide any previously selected
CAS-parts in the games CAS engine.
Easy CASP Editor
To divide the load within the game, you may also want to consider using this tool, Easy CASP
Editor by Kuree which used to be hosted at Simlogical. It can hide most CAS-parts that came
with EA packs and also Custom Content that you've installed as Sims3Packs. This tool has
several options, which are:
CAS-parts are shown as thumbnails and are organized by EA packs and Installed Custom
Content (Sims3Packs).
Re-categorize any CAS-part that a Sim may use in a certain category or multiple categories
(everyday, formal, swimwear, sleepwear, athletic, career or outerwear).
Which CAS-parts may be used on a Sim when they age up to their next Agegroup.
Hide certain CAS-parts within the games CAS-engine.
Information on how to use this tool properly for blacklisting CAS-parts (3 & 4) is available here.
Note
If you wish to divide the load, start hiding items with the Easy CASP Editor first. These items
are usually CAS-parts from EA-packs and Installed Custom Content (Sims3Packs). When you are
done, you're now able to see the StoreContent (sims3packs) which you could not hide using the
Easy CASP Editor. Use the InvalidParts method to block these items.
If you are using both methods of blacklisting through Easy CASP and InvalidParts (Dresser /
MasterController), make sure that a CAS-part (instance) isn't used in both. If it is, those
packages will conflict and cancel each other out, making all CAS-parts available again within the
games CAS-engine.
The following guide requires some knowledge in text editing, namely, how to select (copy) a
piece of text from one document and add (paste) it into another. If you feel uncomfortable with
this procedure, I would advise that you follow another guide on this wiki which has been
created specifically not to edit the blacklist document. It can be found here.
The negative side of this, is that it is easy to go over the maximum number of 30,000 lines. If
you have under 800 CAS-parts, in MC>Settings>CAS>Blacklist, then you are safe to use this
method. To be sure, open your blacklist export document in NotePad++ and see how many lines
have been used, before importing it into the InvalidParts Tuning mod.
1. What do I NEED to create a Dresser (or MasterController) blacklist?
To edit the nraas_Dresser_InvalidParts.package or
nraas_MasterController_InvalidParts.package you will need a Package Editor (S3PE) and a Text
Editor (NotePad++) which you can set S3PE to use (Nraas Packer doesn't have this function).
Note: Notepad++ is not the same as windows-based Notepad, it will give you more options than
its predecessor!
1.1. Download and install the following and set them up:
S3PE (on installment, link the tool to all *.package files, when asked)
NotePad++ (on installment, NOT required to link the tool to all *.txt files, when asked).
Dresser_InvalidParts.package (place this on your desktop temporarily).
1.2. To enable NotePad++ within S3PE:
    Open S3PE.
Select from the menu> Settings> External Program..
Tick-in the check "Use an external text editor".
Use browse to find the executable file NotePad++.exe on your system (i.e. on Win 8 its ?
\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\notepad++.exe).
    Click OK.
Select from the menu> Settings> Save Settings.
    Exit S3PE.
1.3 Test NotePad++ availability in S3PE:
Double click on Dresser_InvalidParts.package it should open with S3PE
If it doesn't open with S3PE you will need to set this up manually so S3PE is used to open
*.package files as standard (if you haven't already when you installed this tool). Right click on
any *.package file> open with... tick in the check box "Use this program as standard" and find
S3PE in your install directory.
On the left side you'll see 2 lines (1 without a Name), click where it says
Nraas.Dresser.InvalidParts so it's highlighted and on the right side you'll see the content.
Select from the menu> Resource> Text Editor.
This will import the content for that line from S3PE into NotePad++ and will make the content
editable. You'll also be able to see directly how many lines are used (15). At this point it's too
early to do anything with it, so just close NotePad++ and close S3PE. If any program ask to
submit changes, click on "No".

2. Collecting CAS-parts to block.
The easiest way to collect the CAS-parts is by running your game in Window-mode and having
your Sims 3 user-directory open in a Windows Explorer window so you are able to instantly
switch from your game to Windows Explorer.
2.1 Find the item to block
First step is to find out WHAT to block.
Go into CAS, and RIGHT-CLICK the item you don't want a Sim to wear (Example 1.1). It will
show the CAS details for the item and also create a ScriptError file in your Sims 3 user-directory
(Example 1.2).
Example 1:
1 CAS R-Click on Part (2).jpg
2.2: Find the INSTANCE, GROUP and CATEGORIES.
Now that you have a scripterror file for that Sim or CAS-part, you can open this in Notepad (or
Notepad++), see example 1.2.
Copy these lines into a SEPARATE Notepad document.
    Example 2:
        Instance: 0xA52EE3BCC14AF29E
        Group: 0x00000000
        Categories: Everyday,Career
Note: Under categories you'll see in which CAS-category the CAS-part is available, if you just
want to block one category of that instance, delete the other categories from the list. In section
6 we will expand on this in more detail.
2.3: Converting into readable code
Instance, group and categories are known as XML nodes. For the game to be able to read the
codes after these XML nodes, it requires to be wrapped with these XML Nodes.
From 2.2 we will continue with example 2. Wrapping the code with XML Nodes looks like this:
    Example 3.
        Instance 0xA52EE3BCC14AF29E Instance
        Group 0x00000000 Group
        Categories Everyday,Career Categories
The game can't read such notation and will require some operators over the XML Nodes to
make it readable by the game. For conveniences purposes it looks like this:
   < ...> = start reading code
    = code ends here
Note with "..." the XML nodes as mentioned in above Example 3.
To make these XML nodes readable by the game it, should look like this:
    Example 4.
        0xA52EE3BCC14AF29E
        0x00000000
        Everyday,Career
Note: No spaces between the XML nodes and the code.
2.4: Adding References!
With just some codes to go by there is no way to identify what you're trying to block. You can
add above the readable code some references to what they are by placing these commands on
top of it.
To make sure this reference will not interfere with the game you will need to add these
operators in between the reference "...":
Basing it on 2.3, example 4:
    Example 5:
        0xA52EE3BCC14AF29E
        0x00000000
        Everyday,Career
Note: Useful if you ever want to unblock it, but isn't highly necessary to add and this
subsection can be skipped.
2.5: Finalizing the readable code.
To be able to let the game know what to do with these XML Nodes, it will need a Parser. "Parsers" are added as a wrapped container above and under the XML nodes that are used to block a CAS-part. In this case the Parser command is "InvalidParts" (without the quotes).
To make it readable for the game, the same operators as in 2.3. are needed. Further altering of
example 5 within subsection 2.4, will have this as a result
    Example 6:
        0xA52EE3BCC14AF29E
        0x00000000
        All
Thus ends here this section on collecting a CAS-part.

3. Editing the nraas_Dresser_InvalidParts.package
In 1.3 we showed you how to open a package and make a line editable in NotePad++. Lets start
repeating this process and do some updating on a package. The reason we say updating is that
the actual editing is done in a _XML tag (left line in S3PE) with the help of a text editor, in this
case NotePad++.
3.1: A Repetitive Action of 1.3:
    1) Double click on Dresser_InvalidParts.package - it should open with S3PE.
   2) Click where it says Nraas.Dresser.InvalidParts with tag _XML so it's highlighted and on the
right side you'll see the content.
    3) Select from the menu> Resource> Text Editor.
Once opened, you'll see in NotePad++:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    AgeMask
    GenderMask
    SpeciesMask
    All
This is the default template of the InvalidParts Tuning mod which is required to run the mod
properly. DO NOT DELETE!!
3.2: Editing in NotePad++:
Go to your document where you've collected the CAS-parts as in subsection 2.5 example 6 and copy (CTRL+C) the entire content. Go back to NotePad++ and set your cursor on line 15 in front of and paste (CTRL+V) your items in NotePad++. The end result should look like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    AgeMask
    GenderMask
    SpeciesMask
    All
    0xA52EE3BCC14AF29E
    0x00000000
    All
Always make sure is on the end of these commands.
When done, save NotePad++ and Exit. S3PE will then inform you that the "Resource has been
updated. Commit Changes?", press "YES". S3PE will make a new updated line of
Nraas.Dresser.InvalidParts with tag _XML and strike through the old one. Save S3PE, you'll see
that the strike through line will be erased and then exit S3PE.

4. Enabling the nraas_Dresser_InvalidParts.package in your game.
Once you've saved your nraas_Dresser_InvalidParts.package (as explained at the end of section
3 above), move this file from your Desktop to your Sims 3 userdirectory "Mods\Packages"
folder, clear your caches and start the game.
After you've loaded your game, click on the CityHall or a Computer then: NRaas> Dresser>
Check Outfits> "Run Invalid and Accessories Check Now" and/or "Run Invalid and Accessories
Check Service Now". This will remove all items you've listed from the all Residents and/or
Service Sims.
Note:
If you've made a nraas_MasterController_InvalidParts.package, you'll need to enable Dresser to
use this package by clicking on CityHall/Computer> Nraas> Dresser> Check Outfit> Use
MasterController Blacklist> set to True.
5. Updating the nraas_Dresser_InvalidParts.package.
Whenever you find some CAS-parts that you do not wish to be used by any Sim. Start again with
2. Collecting Items and when your list is complete:
Open nraas_Dresser_InvalidParts.package with S3PE located in your Sims 3 user directory
within "Mods\Packages" folder.
Select the line Nraas.Dresser.InvalidParts with TAG "_XML".
Once highlighted, select from the menu> Resource> Text Editor.
Set your cursor on the last line of command in front of .
Copy (CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the new items you want to block.
Always make sure the file ends with on the end.
6. Additonal Blacklist Options.
This section requires a little more knowledge with text editing and requires you learned the
basic that been handled in previous section 2, 3, and 4.
6.1: Having multiple CAS-parts to block:
If you have multiple CAS-parts to block, handle both cases separately as instructed within 2.2
through 2.5.
For example:
1. CAS-Part, hair
2. CAS-Part, accessory small earings
0xA52EE3BCC14AF29E
0x00000000
Everyday,Career
0xDF870AAA1C92BBCC
0x00000000
Everyday,Formalwear,Sleepwear,Swimwear,Athletic,Outerwear
Once done, combine both separate logs into one.
This is how it looks when its merged:
    0xA52EE3BCC14AF29E
    0x00000000
    All
    0xDF870AAA1C92BBCC
    0x00000000
    All
Proceed with section 3. to add this log within your InvalidParts tuning mod.
6.2: Shorten up the Categories:
If you are sure that you don't want the CAS-part at all and within categories there are multiple
items chosen, replace all individual categories with one word "ALL". This is how it should look
like, examples taken from 6.1:
1. CAS-Part, hair
2. CAS-Part, accessory small earings
0xA52EE3BCC14AF29E
0x00000000
All
0xDF870AAA1C92BBCC
0x00000000
All
6.3: I do want to use these items for certain categories:
If it's only for a certain category you wish to block these CAS-parts, remove the categories you
want the CAS-part for. Say, you only want them blocked for Sleepwear and Career usage. Then
those examples should look like this, examples taken from 6.1:
1. CAS-Part, hair
2. CAS-Part, accessory small earings
0xA52EE3BCC14AF29E
0x00000000
Career
0xDF870AAA1C92BBCC
0x00000000
Sleepwear
6.4: Adding more, Age-groups:
If you just want to block a CAS-part for a certain Age-Group that is allowed for multiple Ages,
you can add "whatever age" to block. This will mean that the CAS-part will be available for
those Ages not mentioned here. This is how it should look, based on Example 1 (want only Adult
blocked) and Example 2 (want to block YoungAdult, Adult and Elder), examples taken from 6.1:
1. CAS-Part, hair
2. CAS-Part, accessory small earings
0xA52EE3BCC14AF29E
Adult
0x00000000
Everyday,Career
0xDF870AAA1C92BBCC
YoungAdult, Adult, Elder
0x00000000
Everyday,Formalwear,Sleepwear,Swimwear,Athletic,Outerwear
    Example 1.
What this says is that the item is blocked for Adults in the category Career, but can be
picked by any YoungAdults.
   Example 2.
What this says is that the item is blocked for YoungAdults, Adults and Elders in the category
Sleepwear, but can be picked by any Teens in category Sleepwear.
6.5: Just want Males to be able to wear a CAS-part:
Some CAS-parts are coded to be used by both genders (unisex), which sometimes doesn't look
well on one of the genders. This one isn't included in these examples but imagine Example 2 has
UNISEX gender allowed, to block either of these genders you'll need to add Male / Female /
GenderMask (for both). Within them, say those earrings don't look good on females, so let's
block the gender Female:
Example 2.
0xDF870AAA1C92BBCC
YoungAdult, Adult, Elder
Female
0x00000000
Sleepwear
What this says is that the item is blocked for Female within the ages YoungAdults, Adults and
Elders in the category Sleepwear, but can be picked by any Teens in category Sleepwear and
Males in any categories.
Note:
Using more and more XML nodes will increase the lines usage, which is the reason why we
started off with compact mode, which guarantees the usage of as few lines as possible within
this mod.

How to setup your Package folder in
C:\Users\<your name>\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\

You 'can' subfolder if you edit the resource.cfg file to allow it. Open the file with notepad.
Here is what my resource.cfg file looks like. (this file needs to be in your Mods folder).
I don't use this 'Test' and 'Probation' setup though.
you can copy/paste this text in the resource.cfg and it should work.

Plumbots only have one outfit - so Sexbots only have one outfit - the everyday. Because they ARE a 'kinkyworld' sexbot - they have the ability to strip off clothing as specified for any Sim. BUT DO NOT TRY TO EDIT OTHER OUTFITS BESIDES EVERYDAY. If you do this they will graphically corrupt, forcing the player to revert them to human again and start all over. As long as they are left in their singular choice - the everyday - then one can change any option; Tops/bottoms/outfits/ shoes/accessories, as well as hair, makeup, sliders...
// Managing brothel with KW:
"The mod has several variations on the same thing - having Sims enter into KW animations and getting paid for it. I'm pretty sure when one tries to mix certain features the outcome is less than optimal. Let's focus on Sims in the Active household first.
These would be considered SELF EMPLOYED - with 'temporary and career' options:
>Once they have enough skill in Woohoo, they can choose to simply 'Start Whoring'. This is the most simple way as it's a toggle for the game mod's mechanics. This allows your controlled sims to set prices for any activities as well, allowing the player to control how much they make with concessions made by the mod for 'whom' will approach your Sim.
>If the above can be attained, then one can join the Prostitute Career. This is an open ended job which tracks the progress of Sims in 2 different areas. First is the 'Career' tab. Here one see's they have been formally recognized for this line of work, with other information found in the Woohoo Skill tab showing number of partners, and 'title' among other things. Ask Oniki if you want to know why these were split up into 2 locations. For our purposes they just ARE, and now players know where to find them.
Now another option was the Callgirls and Whores feature - this was not created for the active household to participate in. Instead allowing the game and/or player to select working girls from among the population to roam the streets in the evenings. This also began the option for players to list certain lots as KW Venues from the 'map' screen. Use some common sense when trying to create venues, as well as reading the hint when mousing over a grayed-out selection. When no venues are chosen, these types of Inactive Sims whom now provide a 'service feature' will congregate in odd places - the Junkyard from 'Ambitions' has always been a popular one in my game.
Finally the Brothels were introduced. I don't believe this feature was created with the idea of 'Hiring any of the Active household'. Let that sink in before going on. Actives have other options, including 'whoring themselves out' in a brothel they own, which from your statement - seems to work fine. When Sims are hired by the Brothel owner/manager, they become 'puppets' of a sort, and the game tends to struggle with the mechanics of Free-will of an 'Active Sim' vs an Inactive or NPC. I know others whom hire NPC's like maids without a problem, while others have had problems since they hired NPC's which ended up leaving town for 'reasons' and now had no way to 'manage' them. Hiring Inactives is most likely the way the feature was designed for considering the mechanics.
Hiring household Sims can be done without an issue, if they have little to no free will. I find KW SexBots with the Sentience chip removed work fine.
Remember how a brothel works, and one can see there is no need in general for a player/active household to be part of the 'working class'. Just hanging out in a brothel one owns allows a player controlled sim to do everything a hired prostitute does without a game script trying to manipulate a CONTROLLABLE Sim. Why are the Sexbots different? I don't know - I just have success with them. These are questions best asked of the mod creator.
The above is my experience, therefore it is not debatable. If your experience is different, that is why it is your experience, and not mine. I shared what I know, but no 2 players games are exactly the same unless they use No Mods. Then it falls to the PC's they use, including choices made while in game."
