Question marks all over my Sims

Since the last game update I have been experiencing this bug where my Sims show question marks and red squares all over their bodies. This only happens in the actual gameplay, in CAS the Sims look ok. Right now I only have Wicked Whims installed in the mods folder in its v162c version from December 25, but this has been happening to me with the three previous versions of the mod. If I remove the mod the game works correctly.

The recent game patch broke custom skintones. For WW, you need to disable laptop mode and enable uncompressed textures in the Graphics settings. And if you want to use other CC skintones, make sure they have been updated for the December patch.
