SuperMutants in God mode?

Finally got around to a re-i of F4 and am now faced with super mutants in god mode..

 

When I tried sniping one from a hill or two over (Beauty shot.. REALLY long stuff!) The MF came running after me with a board. I shot him repeatedly (.50 cal, mini-gun, rockets and grenades) and it had no effect. Even the lazer/rockets of the settlement bounced off. I eventually got away by running. 

 

I'm also seeing T pose SupMuts after killing a bunch of them in other places.

 

 This has to be fixable.  Please point me in the right direction. Thank YOU!

This will fix freeze in 95% cases

It did for ONE battle. All battles after that it was borked up again.
