noctred Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 There are all sorts of mods which allow NPCs to approach your character and attempt to initiate noncon or con encounters - stuff like ABMM, SL Approach, SLEN, SLHH, Babo Dialogue, Deviously Enslaved Continued, and some others. They all seem to have fundamentally similar functionality (NPCs approach you to fuck around) but have a variety of differences and situational coverage which kinda make me want to use all of them at the same time. Is this a bad idea? What happens when all of these mods try to run their scripts on the same NPCs at the same time? Does the game freak out or does one mod simply win out over the others at random? Currently I'm just lowering the polling rates and general intensity of these mods for a smoother combined experience but I'm not sure if there's a fundamental problem with using all of this kinda stuff together. Am I just asking for my game to break or is it just a case of careful configuration management?
Corsayr Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 3 of the ones you mentioned BaboDialog, SL Approach, and SLHH are all by the same author and are designed to work together. With the others it all kind of depends on how they initiate, there are few potential triggers with the most common being the NPC greeting vanilla functionality. If the mod author did their due diligence and added same safe guards like a DHLP check and a player in dialog check you should not get a lot of overlap. But it is probably not the best idea to have too many mods that perform the same basic functions. I use the three mentioned above as well as STA (spank that ass), SLS (Sexlab Survival), and SL Adventures. Those 6 seem to work just fine together. I don't know that much about the others you listed.

Devious Enslaved for example quotes in his menu that it's very script heavy. SLEN works a bit differently because you have to start the conversation so it's less script heavy and always worked perfectly for me.
noctred Posted December 16, 2020 Author Posted December 16, 2020 Gotcha, thanks for the info - might rethink my list a bit.
