latest wicked whims update infinite loading

for the past few updates ive had a major problem with my game. WW will not load any families when i choose a household i get the infinite loading screen. ive tested multiple versions and anything that is after V161b dosnt work with my game. also older versions may work fine but the penis models are half to full black. 

 

i dont know how else to go about fixing this. i usually solve the problem by myself but this is beyond me.

its the latest version. i updated it yessterday. sorry if im of no help. i dont know how to check the game version

You don't by chance have the Legacy Game version as you need a different WW for that.

 

You can just look in your TS4 folder for a file named gameversion.txt and open it to see.

 

There is a newer version of WW now 1.62a you should install but delete the old version first.

 

Any other mods besides Wicked Whims?

im using the normal default version of the sims4. ive tried the latest WW and that's what creates my loading problem.  related to WW i have devious desires. i had sims4 community library. but that cause some strange animation looping but aside from those 2 i couldn't even count how many mods i have. ive narrowed down the problem to WW though.

WW by itself has never caused loading problems unless you have duplicates, 2 different versions, or 1 file each from 2 different versions.

Odds are that another script mod like DD or S4CL is causing it but if you have that many mods it could be anything.

Look for a file named WickedInfoLog.log in your TS4 folder and open it.

Scroll down a fair bit past all the mods listings to find and entry named Duplicates and it should be 0.

Hunt down and remove any dupes you find listed if any. 

 

Next...

Best test to narrow things down is removing all mods except WW + Animations.

Just move all your other mods to your desktop in a temp folder.

(You can leave cc hairstyles, makeup, nails, clothing, body parts, skin overlays, etc. installed).

Delete your localthumbcache.pkg in your TS4 folder.

 

Load game and test.

Don't make any new saves with mods removed.

If game still won't load try doing an Origin Repair next.

 

Load back your other mods one or two at a time and retest in game until your loading issue returns and that will tell you the culprit/s
